No problem! I still have several videos from this trip to create and release. You can expect videos most every Saturday morning PST until early December😁 Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the video ! It looks like you're doing a nice job on the dock. My wife and I have a fishing shack on an island in Minnesota. I have found the challenges of docks in freezing lakes interesting. We have a "lightweight" 40' long steel frame dock with removable deck pallets. The dock frame is tilted up out of the water over winter to prevent ice damage. It works good but wouldn't be an option if we didn't have local dock service people who build them. The older docks here were mostly built over cribs of logs with rocks piled inside the cribs to anchor them in place. These docks can endure most of the pressures of the ice but do require maintenance too. Our neighbor has cribbed docks and leaves a pontoon boat in the lake year round. The pontoons stay on top of the ice and don't get crushed by it like other hulls would. I assume this will be the same the the barrel floats under your dock. Best wishes & good luck !
That's good to know, thank you! Your little fishing shack in Minnesota sounds pleasant. One of my favorite childhood authors, Gary Paulson, grew up in Minnesota, so I've read some of his stories about fishing, ice fishing, and hunting up there. Let's hope the dock survives winter! three of four of the barrels survived being in the lake year round for 10+ years with no maintenance, so I think we have a good chance of making it through alright. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you! Fair warning, some videos (especially the early ones) are pretty rough 😂 videography, cinematography, audio, editing, music, youtube... I have a lot to learn in all of these facets. Thank you for subscribing and following along though! Best wishes to you😊
