The Triple Espresso was missed tonight. Even though we had the clearer chances to score, we were not as clinical. I love what Emma Hayes is doing, giving new players a chance to show what they have and build a deep bench of attacking players. Tonight, Yazmeen Ryan made a great impression as a midfielder/attacking player. Go USA!!!

Just got home from watching this live and my god Mary Earps was and is nothing short of World Class. The team owed her big time! Wembley atmosphere didn't fail either!
Agree. Earps is next level. All that talk about her being dropped. I LOVE Hannah, I think she's up there with the world's second best goalie. But Mary is a force of nature.

The saves were pedestrian. I give her credit for her positioning.
Happy to see Yazmeen Ryan prove herself on this stage! She almost plays more like a Spaniard than an American with her passing creativity and calmness in tight spaces…all the best chances for the US in the second half went through her - such a great piece to add to the USWNT
Spain are very technical but they havent been that creative. They play quite direct but get by on excellent ball control in tight spaces. When the usa had their best like Lavelle, Heath, Rapinoe, etc they were the most creative passers. But i agree about ryan, she’s the type of player we need in the attack. Can’t wait to see how sort out the front line now with smith, swanson, rodman, ryan, macario (once healthy)
@@xetothexfair point about Spain - I’m probably conflating technical passing with creative passing in my mind but nonetheless refreshing to see that player profile on the team.

Yazmeen Ryan would start for England or Germany. She is a wildly gifted athlete.
The English goalie kept England in it! Truly impressive performance by Earps. Good to see the US getting the ball into the penalty area more. A good improvement.

Love Krueger’s final tackle on Chloe Kelly! That previous foul was so unnecessary, last minute in a tied friendly game… good Krueger had her revenge 😂

Excellent, very intense game. Considering both teams had some players not on the roster, and evaluating younger players, this was a really well-played game by both teams, especially from the Midfielders and the defenses.
Just here to watch Casey Krueger get some payback on Kelly. I am glad neither player was seriously injured on those plays, though.

Smith, Rodman and Swason remind me of Heat, Rapinoe and Morgan because of the lethality and chemistry they have 🔥🔥
They are even more lethal than Morgan and Rapinoe, I think.
The forwards on both teams need to work on anticipating crosses and aggressively attacking them. Otherwise, they look good.

In my opinion, this is a match between two great teams with high skill and technical ball play.
England actually was helped by the bad handball called.....it stopped the play. The USA showed once again they can control the ball mostly..... Englands goalie was the star

Some really poor Handball calls lately by referees ..How many times does the ref have to watch obvious non handballs ? ? Especially the Hemp call in an earlier USA v England game where it clearly hit her backside ...

I understand it’s a rebuilding process with the USWNT,but I hold them higher than that,so I was somewhat disappointed. Have you watched previous matches versus England,they are usually cracking games?Sure teams can sometimes tie and that can be defined as a lackluster performance depending on the context and it is my opinion that it was a lackluster performance. You have every right to have your own perspective,I can somewhat see your point,but I also disagree.
@@drewbranch7700 Thank you for your polite reply. I would have preferred at least one goal to ' liven ' it up a bit. But they are the top two ranked teams in the world. They both cancel each other out. And it was only a friendly , and not either teams usual starting 11. :)

Compared to previous England v U.S games I’ve watched - I thought the display by both teams was poor, lacking finesse and control , basic stuff.

USA dominated all game, but they dont have a shooter. They pierced through their defense and spent all game playing in ENG's field, but as they reached there they got desperate with nobody as an option to pass to. Clearly USA needs someone wearing the 10. That woman behaved like a defendant not as a shooter.

Horan and Lynn must remove from this uswnt team. Horan, the most slowest player, Lynn ,got many years to get chanc to better, but she didn't do anything replac them with new and young players .
They both seem like great teammates but I agree, Lynn is not deadly enough in front of goal and lack on-ball skills
