I’m on day 8 of my left leg ACL reconstruction surgery and just today I’m feeling better, making little bits of progress and not so groggy or grumpy. I finally had a productive GI tract after many OTC products and tummy cramps are somewhat gone. Anxiety had taken over when every 4 hr pain meds weren’t working. So glad we have a schedule now and able to stretch that out a bit. More sleep now, actual food instead of just smoothies, juice and water. This has been the worst experience of my life but today I’m feeling positive, able to do a little of PT at home, such a stiff knee but swelling went down. Thanks for keeping it real and doing these videos, good to know I’m not alone and not too far behind the rehab schedule they set.

I just had ACL and meniscus surgery this morning although it was an allograft.Injured it playing pickleball (which I am devastated I can't play for 8 months) I really appreciate your videos, it's given me a lot of peace of mind just seeing what the journey will be like and also how to do certain everyday things. I checked out some of your other videos and thought the presentation on your financial independence was really informative! You are a hustler and always thinking of clever ways to monetize, it's impressive and inspiring. I try to do the same, but not quite as disciplined as you. I am also half-japanese so it is nice to see other inspiring hapas succeeding.

Here is some insight on my journey.
Currently 14 days post op. (Just ACL surgery from hamstring but i had MCL tear but no surgery)
Honestly not as bad as i thought it would be.
First 3 days I thought i was gonna die. But then I woke up on day 4 magically being able to basically put full weight on my left leg.
Went in for PT just 5 days after surgery and achieve an 80 degree bend. But struggled to get below 8ish degrees when flat.
Now at day 14 with heat and stim at PT I’m about half an inch from fully flat, but rest regularly around an inch or so.
Currently sleep without the brace on but wear it with a slight flexion to improve walking.
Went back to work on day 10 and delivered pizza on day 11.
    (Good sympathy tips)
Overall, improving each day. Hardest part appears to be getting that leg flat.
