Did you enjoy this full-length machining process? Which step did you find most satisfying?
Which CAM software did you use?
Im wondering how you are gonna hold it for second op to remove all the material that you were currently holding onto. Care to share?
@@zacharymoyer3455 obviously they won't since it's not a real part being machined.
Hello @zacharymoyer3455,
the component is screwed onto a plate with 6 screws and then clamped in a vice. This can also be seen at second 49 in the video.

@@DMGMORI you should make new playlist
Finally a full length video from dmg itself. Will enjoy it
Thank you very much, we will upload more full length videos in the future 😊

5:25 amazing tool-path!
It's so great and I am so grateful for your own demo-videos! Especially the longer versions,to see the process and genius behind the manufacturing. Of course on the most beautiful DMG Mori Machines :)
Would be nice to see some other longer videos for other machines, like ctx beta 450TC for example...
Even though the H-monoBLOCK is on of the best for its size and application range ^^
love the machining sounds
Great CNC Machine
the milkman would have loved this.
Good point! 🥛
Impressive. Now how do you get your hands on one?
Amazing work and amazing programming skills. Dmg and hypermill are a great solution! I love to use the both.
Who is the programmer that made this Demo Part? Thank you
The part and the machine speak for themselves. Congratulations on the video for both its technical and artistic merit. Instead of a million questions about the program I'll content myself to ask how you kept the camera window clear of coolant.
Hello @jimsvideos7201,
we used a special camera system for machine interiors.

Such a great machine! Im working on DMU 65H with RPS9 and this is perfect combination. I worked on Heller, Grob etc. and on DMG Mori work is easier and more comfortable. Good job!

How do I join the media team. Filming stuff like this all day seems like a dream.

Good but still some noises😄why?..cuz you used inserts...you might change for roughing by end mill solid for a lovely process
Is that typical to almost have a full week for programming? Or is that also including the modeling of the part?
Hello @roeschdan,
the programming time includes tool selection, clamping device selection and simulation (collision check). Modeling is not included.

How can I get the model for the carrier? I'll buy it.
Hello, the model was designed by our technical experts, however it is unfortunately not available for sale or distribution. Your DMG MORI Social Media Team
What CAM software?
Probably Esprit or Siemens NX, that's what the application engineers from DMG-Mori use.
@@DerFlexy nope that’s just what DMG officially promotes, most application engineers use hyperMILL
@@DerFlexy nope that’s wrong, most application engineers use hyperMILL and this was also used for this as far I know
можно же было сделать точную деталь литьём(?!)
и после фрезеровать в размер....
на юморе ....😮
Very intersting video:
Two comments though:
1. Chapter 6 should be called Maching teh Hadnle rather than Holder Machining. It's NOT a holder, it's a handle.
2. Why did you waist so much machining time roughing the contours of the final piece with a surface mill? A VHM mill used at full depth would have been MUCH more efficient IMHO.
I love how an engineer spent a week of his life on programming of this part just to be be criticized by the first comment on the vid xd
If you're talking about the roughing at the start, that's a high feed mill, not a face mill. High feed and high efficiency milling are both perfectly valid roughing strategies. In this case, I think the tall and thin handle favoured a high feed milling strategy, which directs cutting forces along the axis of the tool rather than to the side.
