Thank you Sandra, and thank you for participating so enthusiastically 💜 If you look in the description below the video, there is a supply list. If you can't see it, let me know.
Hi from UK😁💐 I FOUND THAT ONCE YOU TOUCH METALLIC YOULL GET HOOKED.....I TOO LIVE A MATT LOOK BUT NOPE I GOT HOOKED 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💐💐💐💐💐💐 FABULOUS VIDEO AGAIN TKS🥰
Jackie! I am a recent sub and I am absolutely besotted with your channel! I love your use of colour and hue. I loved this vid in particular because I use stencils a great deal in my work. I especially enjoy your painting papers videos. You inspire me enormously and I want to thank you. I can think of no other activity that I would enjoy more than sitting on a stool in your studio, listening and watching you create. Add a cup of tea...bliss!! Ha Love and Bless xo
Thank you, Lindsey. Working and chatting with you in the studio would be so much fun, and would probably generate so many creative ideas we wouldn't know where to start. I'm so happy you're here and enjoy the videos. 🥰
I’m enjoying your videos so much. Painting papers is such a satisfying fun surprise every time. I’m cutting the papers into strips and adhering them to 2”x6” card stock, turning them into pretty bookmarks for my local library. So so fun! Thank you for your tips and tricks. This is addictive!
You are a breath of fresh air. Thank you for sharing your techniques. I’m feeling very frustrated at the moment because I cannot find that stencil you used which was bought on Etsy. It’s just what I want and I’m hoping that you’re not too busy to share a name of a stencil, or the artist who created It. That might help me gain some sanity back after searching this morning. Ha ha I’m subscribe to your channel. ❤
Hi Diana! Thank you so much for being here - I'm so happy you've subscribed 😍 I can only give you the link to the shop on Etsy - I don't know the artist or even the name of the stencil. I think if you reach out to the owner and ask her about it (be sure to include the link for the stencil in your message), she might be able to help you. Here is her link: www.etsy.com/shop/antiquesshow 🥰
Haha, hi Jackie. I recently discovered your channel 👍😉 I laughed because I LOVE doing fine, precise detailed work... Its my "happy place", and I have loved watching you to try to help me loosen up and be more spontaneous 🙏😂 thanks for sharing, God bless, Mary from Australia 😎
I have such creative envy for people who do precise, detailed work - it is absolutely mesmerizing to watch, but when I try, it's like I have 100 squirrels running around in my head 😂 Thank you for being here, Mary! 🥰
😂 and I‘m exactly like Jackie…. big moves, big wild work so I couldn’t almost watched it seeing her try to drawing perfect lines 😅 but I was surprised how it ended up so pretty at the end 🩷 I had to laugh as well 😄
Those paper pulls at the end were quite creative. One the first one, I clearly saw the beginning of a piece involving elk or large animals coming into the scene from the left hand grove of trees. The second pull was a map. This was a great video. Thank you.
Painted some paper that I got from an Amazon delivery bag. How much joy can one person get from just mixing acrylic paint on a bag?!!! The pressure to not create a “thing” other was lovely. Just painting textures and colours was so helpful from a learning pov as well as the sensory element of it all after a long day looking at a screen.
I love how you continue to bravely add more paint to your pieces with abandon. lol It's inspiring and you get such depth in your pieces. I learn something new with every video. Thanks for sharing.
I loved your video. Suggestion: when copying the mask, rather than using a pencil to outline the figure, you can use a damp cloth that has been moistened with watercolor or a cotton pad rubbed onto a chalk pastel to wipe over the edges like spokes on a wheel…center>out…to stain the outline onto the paper. It will take a few seconds using that method.
What a fun video Jackie. Loved the "happy accidents" 😁 Just thinking that a sponge and a bit less paint might have been better if you had wanted to keep the pattern ( on the tape) but I loved the outcome anyway Blessings ... Jayna 🇦🇺
Thanks Jayna! I plan to create many “tapes” for the holidays, and using a sponge is the perfect solution for spreading the paint with more consistency - great idea, thanks! 🥰
The leopard strip looks like a classic wall finish (faux painting) that resembles the original Aramis Men’s fragrance from the 70s and 80s. Very men’s smoking club. It’s actually a difficult finish to create on a wall, as you witnessed from the tape you painted.
You are right, Manuel - it is a tricky finish on a wall. I had a custom finishing business during the 90's and early 00's (until the housing crisis), and I once did an entire bathroom in that leopard print finish 😍
Diana, I don't and I'm sorry that store is no longer carrying it. An idea would be to reach out to Mariah at www.youtube.com/@PMartistStudio and see if they have something similar or if they could make something similar. They have got a HUGE catalog of stencils. I hope that helps. 🥰
Thank you for your kind words Christine! 🥰 I bought this badger brush about 20 years ago at a small local art store. The brand name wore of the handle ages ago. I just looked it up and found a very similar one at Jerry's Artarama, but WOW it's very expensive now. If budget is an issue, a smaller one will work too.
The tape turned out to look like tortoise shell. I liked it both ways but it’s cool that you just keep trying new things bc if you want to go back and get the cheetah u can just do it again. Had you stopped we wouldn’t know how to do the tortoise shell technique. I’d love to see how you use the papers.
I'm so happy you liked the tape both ways - experimenting is not only really fun, but incredibly informative too. Keep watching, you'll see the papers used in other videos. 🥰
I really enjoyed watching and interacting with you today Jackie! Do you have a list of the materials you used in your vlog?
Thank you Sandra, and thank you for participating so enthusiastically 💜 If you look in the description below the video, there is a supply list. If you can't see it, let me know.
@@PaintedPaperStudio found the list Jackie. Thank you again 💓

I love your Matisse figures! They’re so much fun! The colors were so lively and perky.😀
Thank you, Nita, that was a really fun day in the studio! 🥰
Painting papers is also my happy place! I love doing them more than painting pictures. Will you ever do a video of how you use your papers?
On washi, a tiny touch of green as per copper aging 💐💐💐💐💐

Learned alot today! Thanks for sharing your techniques and experiments with us.
My pleasure - I'm so glad you were able to make it 😀
All fabulous, my favourite is washi 😁😁💐💐💐🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰UK. Tks❤
Thank you - I loved the washi too! 🥰

I was yelling at the screen - use the nickle azo gold, then you did. It looked great! I might have quit there but love the final blackish coat!
So that was YOU! 😂😂😂 I'm glad you like it!

This was a great video. Thank you.
Thank you very much! I love when you can see things in the pieces like you can in clouds 😀
I did too - Some Horses with riders and Scenery 🤗😍😍😍

Anna - painting paper is the perfect antidote to hours of screen time. Happy creating!

Thank you Cynthia! The truth is that it is sometimes hard for me to stop myself 😂.

Genius idea, Manuel!!! I'm going to try that out today 🥰
I've learned a lot of good ideas from you. You are sharp. Thank you for sharing your intuitive mind with us all.
Thank you, Diane - this was really kind of you to post. 🥰
Very interesting, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it Sigrun!
On the sea glass one another option would be to put dark paint on stencil then lay it back to suit original pattern. .just a thought 😁😁💐💐💐💐💐💐🥰🥰
That's a really clever idea! I'll try it next time 🥰

Love your videos! Almost lost it trying to find the stencil , do you have any recommendations for finding it? Thanks ❤ Diana
I mean the first stencil used, like 🌸

Really enjoying watching your videos, I’m learning so much! May I ask, what brand Badger Brush you use for blending?
Thank you for your kind words Christine! 🥰 I bought this badger brush about 20 years ago at a small local art store. The brand name wore of the handle ages ago. I just looked it up and found a very similar one at Jerry's Artarama, but WOW it's very expensive now. If budget is an issue, a smaller one will work too.
Thanks so much for the info, I’ll check into the one on Jerry’s Artarama:)

Do you have to wash your badger brush each time you use it?
Yes, I do, but it's really fast and easy to clean. That brush was an investment and I have maintained it for over 25 years. 😍
❤
😁is it me or do you purposely leave a tiny section on each level 🤣🤣🤣💐💐💐
* wink wink * You might be right 😉🥰
