I watch a lot of sailing vids and have seen all yours. I Never leave comments but… This is your best by far. Love the angles you have used. You’re obviously thinking about how to present your story and I applaud that. Keep up the good work. You are inspiring. Thank you.
Brilliant video in all respects. Excellent historical, geographical background with plenty of real time sailing. I've watched quite a few sailing channels and this ranks way above most others.
I learned a lot watching your vlog today. Great job, and beautiful scenery. Thank you, and I look forward to your next one. I don't blame you for taking the time to find some waves. When I was much younger, I was in the waves more than on dry land.
Sick drone footage and awesome to see the Coralie Bay shots and anchorage - haven't been in there yet as usually hiding from an Easterly on the other side! And now wishing I had butterfish for dinner...
Wow, I've watched many sailing video's as well, but this one is quality. great story telling, camera angles, backing tracks. looking forward to see more. Hope to be out there doing the same at some stage. Wishing you safe travels.
Great videos, may I ask what camera gear and editing program you use. It's awesome to see such great footage of this part of NZ, keep up the great work.
Thanks for the feedback Jason. Very basic gear. A gopro 10, gopro 7, and a Dji mavic mini 2 drone. For editing I use Davichi Resolve. Its free and very user friendly.
@blokewithaboat love seeing the drone footage , yet to master landing my drone on the boat without near misses, I saw this comment re Davinche resolve and am struggling to download it on my laptop ( may be too old ) , what laptop are you using for the editing program?
Another epic video dude, love the story telling yet again, so good to hear the history of each place you sail to utilising the knowledge from your tour days. Fully get that last narration around pre departure anxiety etc, sitting on the shore wondering if you should or shouldn’t go… but always have to remember, a ship is safe in the harbour but that’s not where ships belong..
Just binge watched your channel good stuff my well done. I have an 8m trailer sailer on taupo lake if you are interested in going out on a lake. Or if you need crew at sometime let me know ive been sailing for bout 3 year's
