I’m imagining a story for the character in the game where this is the actual emergency procedure for crash landing on a planet that he is running through and there is some drill sergeant out there yelling at someone, “MINE THAT STONE! BUILD ONE HUNDRED STONE FURNACES! MOVE IT!”
Imagine being a biter, seeing some dude crash into your planet and having his ship destroyed & being left with nothing only for him to leave again in a self build rocket not even one and a half hour later...
Even though I understand everything going on, the speed at which everything is done and how meticulously everything must've been planned out is just astounding.
To be fair, the speedrun doesn't get a full yellow belt of steel either. Just a bunch of half-belts. The closest it gets to a full belt of steel is I believe around purple science with around 70% of 1 belt of steel.
We see trupen on many Factorio comment sections. Man knows the entire Factorio UA-cam and instantly goes there to comment. It's a good thing, boosting engagement in Factorio videos and "promoting" himself.
"You're late, Mazmot!" "I'm sorry boss my spaceship crash-landed on this planet and I had to industrialise half the surface to get back here on time" "You should've just called for a tow!"
There could be 5 different audio tracks narrating this for audiences of different difficulty levels, and there would still be details missed. So impressive. Hat's off to you, good Mazmot.
Dude gets more done in a minute than me in 30 minutes, makes it look better and on top of all even managed to launch the rocket. Never gotten that far without loosing my mind.
With all due respect and admiration, this is the epitome of "Weaponized Autism". Some spots I had to slow down to x.5 speed just to see wtf is happening. Bravo, sir.
about an hour shorter. and we would have seen the whole thing, not just glimpses. Bro would wake up, punch mars until it spit out a rocket, and then overtake his fellow astronauts on the way back to earth no potatoes tho
The APM is so much it was more than enough to entertain me for the WHOLE video. You rarely see videos so good that they run for hours and you don't feel the time going by
Yeah there's more than a little optimizing within the rules on map seed. Must technically have biters on, but can find a seed and limited map size that has no biter bases within the map for example. And the crazy good ore patches, etc. This is still absolutely wild even with the best imaginable map.
I can also imagine that the map is actually edited to contain the ores and ratios. and to the person saying biters must be on, if it's any% I'd imagine you can turn off biters entirely
Commenters: bear in mind it's much easier to go really fast when the floor is covered in resources, and there are no aliens. Still extremely impressive.
A truly impressive feat of both planning and execution. And to think, with all those mis-clicks I saw, you probably could have shaved another minute off it. ;) (I tease! Wonderful!)
After I watched this, I walked my dogs 2 miles in 15 minutes. Absolutely mad. I got lost after blue science. Don’t know how you can keep track of everything.
It is like that guy's mind works in modules of mul-processing. Anyway folks needs to consider that man has deep understan ding of this game. He mastered Factorio.
After 20 minutes of the video my brain told me it is good the guy upped the replay speed of the video so that I don't have to wait that long to see it all....
Impressive asf, and now I kinda want to see his keyboard/mouse inputs, some things that they do that u need to pause and think a bit to get it, really fast and optimized

@@guy3717 when I started to play Factorio, there weren't any achievements and people were discussing if you can complete the game in a day, and yea, there is an achievement for sub 8 hours
@@SirBalageG Ahhh makes sense. Really cool how far its come in that context. I know the devs have done a ton of balancing and changes, were there any big ones that also brought the time down? Or is it basically just game knowledge and execution?

I prefer to speed run Factorio in 8 hours or more. My record is about 40 hours. It’s a honey badger speed run. What can I say 😂 Nice work on the actual speed run. 🎉
I could do this too I just have two things holding me back Planning and Execution. Excellent job the complexity is mind blowing I truly do not know how you can do so many things in such a small timeframe while tracking and expanding. Talk about multitasking in extreme.

Imagine this dude crashlanding on a planet and leaving less than 90 minutes after with his scrap to rocket science ship haha. And being like - "oh, I have the PERFECT blueprint for.. it all."
thats what i was thinking through the whole run. imagine a NASA pilot crash landing on another planet and gets this factory running within 90 minutes and is on his way home to earth for dinner haha
In "Any%" rules: " • Free choice of map generator settings. Enabling "Peaceful mode" and using a set "Map seed" is allowed." Mazmot clearly has been practicing this specific map settings and seed. They must have memorized based on the decorations where the array needs to go.
Factorio 2 should be from the aliens side - quest: "unfuck the planet environment after the crazy engineer left".
Try Terra Nil. It's a game about exactly that - unfucking a planet
that's just real life
@@sakesaurus
No because the crazy engineers haven't left yet
@omegaluck6220 wel its a game and its called terranil
funny you say that, a mod called nullius basically has you do something similar

Same here, lol.
in mi case, in an hour (im a begginer and this blow my mind)

A full yellow belt of steel is pretty insane, a "starter base" probably only needs 3 or 4 per sec. 1 full belt of steel is 75 iron per sec lol
Absolutely incredible. The optimization of that initial twenty minutes has me blown away. Steel, just like that.
nice

The line between genius and insanity is blurred. One could easily confuse the base for spaghetti, but is an unbelievably optimized base
Yeah I thought it was spaghetti at first and then I saw the final map. Very clean design. I can't even do that well on normal
