Hi dorian, I'm struggling to keep my 4 year old boy to hold his concentration. He gets distracted / bored too easy. I want to focus his mind. Any tips?

@@FMFx23 get some small gloves on them. Get them in their stance have them throw a proper jab at your forehead. Kids love that. Then try moving out the way while they try to hit you while trying to not stumble all over.

I needed to see this 🙏🏿. I took the wrong approach with my sons many years ago I was hard on them like my trainer was hard on me that wasn't the way to do it. It's funny I have twin daughters and I just started Training them and this is the approach I've been Taking. Thanks brother keep up the good work

Gonna follow the same way, my son is young and a bit sensitive, we used to have the hard way, gonna have to do this way, and when older push him a bit more. I first need to build his self confidence i think.
Introduce them with fun but make sure to engrain good fundamentals. As they get older and (if) they have a hunger for the competitive nature of it - then you can be harder on them. They'll likely appreciate it but it requires you to judge when they're ready. Too much too soon will scare a young mind off boxing. Just my opinions based on experience 🤙
Can you give some examples of what you mean by hard on them?
Even in professional sports coaches know that certain people have different personalities and respond differently. Children are the same.
I loved this, great job! Hopefully you might be able to create instructional videos that parents can you to train their children who aren’t able to attend your classes. Your whole philosophy is awesome!!

My kid is a little over a year old and I’ve been looking into physical activities for him to try out when he gets older so he can stay in shape and be as healthy as possible. Boxing is definitely on the radar and I’d we go that route I hope he gets a trainer like you. You and doing great with that child!

Hey, man thanks for this video. I was an amateur boxer, and now that I have a family I have been teaching my 9 year old daughter to defend herself with boxing. She loves it, and has surprising power at her age. The tips in this video are great. I am so glad I found this. I subbed immediately. Thanks again! I have had a little trouble with footwork. I have been thinking of doing the string around the ankles method. Any tips on that for her would be greatly appreciated.

Please tell me this was over a longer period of time. My little guy and I are working together and this young man can make me feel like I’m making mistakes somewhere or worse make another little guy feel like he’s not good enough. I boxed u til I was 18. But anyone who’s tried to be a boxer knows that boxing and teaching are totally different. We are learning again both of us. Together. Thank you for your video coach
