@@PeterYMao I met Joey a few times in season 2 and 3. But sadly not anymore in Season 4 since he is now TGP while I am still bouncing between Ryujin and Tekken King.
That’s basically Paul for you . Not a lot of utility but the stuff he got does it’s job more than enough . Wall is very important for him since his combos do very underwhelming damage without it . Also if you connect a ch qcf3 just roll with a simple demoman I’ve seen some of the best Paul players including knee and justice (drop more often than not) that ws3 combo after.
I've seen Knee and Justice land the WS+3 combo pretty consistently, maybe not 100% of the time, but at least something like 75% of the time they land it.
Been maining Paul since Tekken 6, He's pretty good in Tekken 7 though honestly in spite of his strengths, I think one thing that some players don't mention is how predictable he can become in high level play. His linearity and high risk options become quite the liability when the opponent has a very good read on your habits (which I will admit as a Paul main, the habits become pretty quick to read for most of us). He does sometimes feel sluggish for some of his moves too, but timing is key. Otherwise, he's good as he needs to be, the only one thing I wish they'd add is his old B1,2 punish from T6 and Tag 2 to dissuade crouching opponents, and to make his shredder kicks follow up actually useful in some meaningful way. Solid guide mate.
I think predictability is something perhaps that players need to mix up, and not necessarily a weakness of the character. You could think of Paul as another Bryan type character who gets rewarded most for landing counter hits, and whiff punishment, but with sluggish moves. None the less, thanks for your comments ReapingRose :)
