Thank you for the video! Great production quality, I hope Feng gets more love now that he's gotten some quality of life buffs in S4
Hey Ivan! Thanks for watching the video man! I hope that it was good :). Also are you sure about the d/f+1 on CH gives you guaranteed stuff? Please double check that for me as I don’t think you do. I haven’t gotten around to testing it myself yet
@@PeterYMao I saw videos on it in the feng discord a couple months ago, apparently you can even get a guaranteed dash into SSL u/f+2 in the open but it's almost frame perfect. @@PeterYMao No need to thank me peter just showing beginners the wei, didn't really talk about the other options from BT because I personaly never use them, also forgot to add that that you get a free BT d3 if the 4 in 3,3,4 hit it's quite risky but good damage.
It's worth mentioning that BT d4 is one of his safest options out of backturn, I always use it after 1, 2, 2 BT, (can be low parried though) and when cancelling BT you should usually hold d/b instead of just back since it moves him back a considerable distance and high crushes. Not backturn, but also important: 1, 1 is good to mix into your poking game, since the second hit is a mid that launches on CH. KNP 3 main use is to punish moves that recover in crouch as KNP 2 will whiff - although yes, they also usually recover slower.
I was considering trying Feng, since I prefer adaptability, whiff punishing, and sometimes evasions (Reasons why I have Asuka and Leo as mains). But now you gave the final push. Also, yes. Am working on me Bryan.
Thanks for reminding of the basics....up until now I was looking at the combos rather than basics since was playing for fun till I got t7 on nov 28 2020 so some are telling me to learn more so I hope this helps....thank you
Awesome guide! This is exactly what I needed. I main Kazumi and was looking to try another poke based character. PS I found your channel thanks to TMM, best recommendation ever!
Thank you for this guide, a while back when I was trying to figure out who I wanted to play Feng was my first pick but I didn't really stick with it because I just played other stuff and Tekken felt overwhelming (and it is) but now I wanna give it a second go and I think I'll go with Feng once more. Him being my first pick originally I think I should go through with it. Alternatively Armor King also interest me and I noticed you put a guide for him as well so...we'll see!
Don't feel intimidated. I think it's important to keep on practicing and make small improvements every day. Even if it is something as small as making a sidestep.
@@PeterYMao That's true, having small goal is better than setting yourself up with crazy goal above your current level. Gotta make everything feel like a small victory.
Okay lol a week ago I realised that Feng players always steamroll me and never rematch for some reason so I'm trying to find as much info on the character to beat him and you make this video. 😂 Also, from what I gather Feng is considered mid-low tier but the more I look into him the more solid he looks. Like at least higher-mid tier.
@@PeterYMao maybe he feels that way because I don't know the matchup but I prefer playing any other annoying character like Hworang, Asuka, Leroy, Fahk, Zafina, Lei, Xiaoyu. At least these players usually rematch so I've had some experience against them.
As a Feng user, I agree with Peter that Feng is a mid to mid low. The key to fight against Feng is to stay far away from him to avoid his mix-up. Don't be in his range. Back dash as much as you can to avoid all of his key moves. His key moves only work in a very short range. If you want to learn in depth about Feng, watch Caiper video (he is one of the best Feng tournament player in Europe). Feng was OP in Tekken 5, but he now falls way behind new comers like Leroy, Zafina, and Fahk.

KNP 3 main use is to punish moves that recover in crouch as KNP 2 will whiff - although yes, they also usually recover slower.
Thanks for the input Krzysiek :)
I loved this guide and your Feng is talented, very enlightening and cool to watch, keep working hard and SUBBED.
Awesome, thank you!
This is top notch presentation
Thanks Le Ciervo!!!
Peter with this guide you helped me a lot with feng,Now if you make a josie's beginner guide I will be happy
Thanks for enjoying the Feng guide, no Josie guide for now.
I was considering trying Feng, since I prefer adaptability, whiff punishing, and sometimes evasions (Reasons why I have Asuka and Leo as mains). But now you gave the final push.
Also, yes. Am working on me Bryan.
👍👍
Thanks for reminding of the basics....up until now I was looking at the combos rather than basics since was playing for fun till I got t7 on nov 28 2020 so some are telling me to learn more so I hope this helps....thank you
You bet! Combos are important, but fundamentals and basics are going to carry you further more.
Awesome guide! This is exactly what I needed. I main Kazumi and was looking to try another poke based character. PS I found your channel thanks to TMM, best recommendation ever!
If you want poking character, Feng is definitely a good character.
Thank u sir, I did wanna learn Feng little bit
Glad to hear that!
Such a great guide thanks ymao!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for inspiring tutorial Mr. Peter
This is perfect for me, cuz my main is Bryan and my spar partner is Feng main. Thanks Peter
You are welcome ThatOneGuy ^_^
I'm ready for the game plan guides
I'm going to cover a few other characters and then I'll get to game plan guides.
@@PeterYMao Hell yeah
Really enjoyed this video.Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for taking the time to watch it Emilton :)
Also, from what I gather Feng is considered mid-low tier but the more I look into him the more solid he looks. Like at least higher-mid tier.
He is definitely mid to mid low. Certain match ups he does well other ones he really struggles.
I dont plan on using Feng but this is valuable info to counter Feng
Absolutely. Just reverse engineer it.
Feng is just such a cool character. Really surprised that he's such an unpopular pick for people.
He's becoming more popular.
You already know why I'm playing this character 🤣💪
? Why are you playing this character?
@@PeterYMao baki dou lmao "Retsu kaio"
These guides are great! Will you be doing a Lei guide?
Hmmm, let me think about that one. Depending on how popular Lei is, I'll decide on that.
This is such a good video, really helped me out!
You're the man, ty for this guide
You're welcome Jay L.
Millions thanks for this video.
You're welcome Adobli!
Commenting to express interest. Now you've done it Peter, you opened Pandora's box and everyone is going to ask for a guide on their character 😅🤣
Pandora's box has indeed been opened ^_^
So any idea when you'll get to Eliza? *rib rib*
@@Brass_Heathen sorry Brass. I have very limited knowledge of the character. Also, I will be making guides for characters who I think will return for Tekken 8.
@@PeterYMao I know, I have considered that when i was choosing her as my main but it was inevitable we just fell into each other. I'll be lost when tekken 8 drops 😥
Im more comfortable with my main Leo, and am utilizing most of her moveset in play, still working on my backdash and parry timing, but i think i can pickup a secondary or 3rd without my head exploding😅 and Feng has been high on my list along with Miguel, like Leo i dig Feng's animations and think he deserves more play. Thanks Peter😬
You're super welcome NuckleBebop ^_^
Hi Peter, i hope to see a King guide some day 🎉
I have planned to start an arcade joystick and button review content for 1.5 years now so i understand how much effort making videos take and how busy life can be so no worries if ypu don't get to it.
Thank youuuu btw your armor king vid was helpful
Happy to help ya man :)
great tuto mister, many thanks
"If you're not using b1, you're not using -Feng- Bryan right" :P
LOL.
Peter's not wrong though. It's like a interrupt jab on roids IMO, just a little bit more unwieldy.
+6 gang
Im newbie in tekken, pls tell.me what is b1
@@qalamahmadkhazain6220 b1 or "back one" is a move that both bryan and feng can use
Very good quality, presenting and visual experience, it was entertaining to was great tutorial.
I will test out Feng, I feel he can suit my play style. Otherwise it's still a good tutorial to know how to counter Feng.
Absolutely Sigtyr! This was definitely a tutorial I was working on for a long time :)
This video was great. Helped me decide not to choose Feng. I dont see any other videos like this on your channel. Am i missing something? I hope so :) Looking for MR, Leo, Josie, and Shaheen. Thanks!
I'm working on other ones. These take a lot of time to make.
PeterYMao I don’t doubt that. This was VERY well done. Most of these just go through move lists. I like that you described tactics and uses. As a total beginner, it’s overwhelming so this helped
8:11 Unfortunately, Zafina's TRT goes under b4 if even slightly off-axis. Use d4 instead.
TRT is made to go under most mids it looks like. You're basically confined to using only low pokes to get her out of it. Very very very few mids in the game hit her out of the stance.
@@PeterYMao Yup. I'm just giving a heads-up to people so they won't be bewildered by it when it happens to them.
Ive been playing Bryan thanks to your guides so whynot Feng 👍
Hahaha, hope you enjoyed the guide ^_^
We need part 2!!
I hear ya. Thanks for your request. I'll get around at some point.
