- Someone on ¥outube requested that if I had this clip, would I put it on ¥outube. Well, here it is: The last "tool Time" Episode where they sing "Burning Down the House"! Copyright 2008 Futuramklax.
25 years later I still remember when this show premiered and my dad was calling his friends on the landline saying how they had to watch this show because it was great. Still an all time favorite.
a landline ? You guys actually had A LANDLINE ?
@@power2084 the show premiered in 1991. Cell phones, if they existed at all, were the size of bricks or lived in cars.
If I remember correctly,it would be at least another 10 years before cellphones would become more common place.
@@power2084Look a Gen Z spotted in the comment section even us millennials still had land line phones. Cellphones weren't big until after 2010.
@@power2084The show premiered in 1991. EVERYBODY had a landline back then.
My Dad Mickey Jones, we miss him so much. He's rockin' in Heaven with Jesus now!
Your dad was a hero to so many, myself included. I'm so sorry you lost him.
That would be HIM!
He was very memorable on V and justified.
Your dad was a part of so many peoples life. You must be very proud.
I really enjoyed playing on this show. Janeen Rae Heller
That's awesome! It looked sooo much fun....and the audience genuinely looked like they were loving it!
May you never get sore playing the saw... lol :-)
Janeen Rae Heller You rocked it!
AWESOME
You’re THE Janeen! The musical segments with you and K&B Boys were my favorite as a child. I wanted to be like y’all so bad! When I got into woodshop in high school, I would try to make the handsaw sing.
I enjoyed seeing it every time it came on. For some reason it kept playing in my head recently and now it has appeared on my feed
That was one of the best comedy /family shows ever. Well written and well played.
I love how the writers of this predicted Richard Karn future with that Al "will be doing informercials for a living" Borland line lol.
However, Al's soon-to-be-wife was rich.
Well as predicted Al really is just been doing it for a while since " Home Improvement," show been off the air.
@@richardscaggs5936
Didn't Al host family feud?
@@nickhill8612 yes he did. And so much better than Steve Harvey!
Around the time this aired, my dad bought a beard trimmer and it came with a video tape where Al showed how to trim your beard 😂
This was the saddest episoed ever. I am a man and i cried! lol I Love this Show! There are no more classics like this!
One of the best moments in one of the best finales for an awesome show. I wish it was still on TV.
It is in reruns! Mickey just passes and the character Wilson has also passed away
Sorry Mickey Jones PASSED away
There had been rumors of a reunion or a revival, in all honesty I don't think it's a good idea. It would not be the same without Wilson (Earl HIndman)
What happened
I wish a online video service maybe disney plus since they own the rights doing like a fuller house version but more Tim Allen
Georgia, The actor that played Wilson passed away in 03 i believe
Richard Karn aka Al Boreland actually IS doing infomercials now! He is doing infomercials for Little Giant Ladders and Pocket Hose.
And not to mention he did the commercials for Hillshire Farms sausages and hosted Family Feud too.
Evan Williams and oxi clean
IAmNotAFunguy he was doing infomercials back then too, and it appeared he would be doing more, and that was actually part of the joke in this segment.
And not to mention he played the dad in the movie Air Bud Seventh Inning Fetch I've seen that movie several times
He was also Leo's cousin on an episode of That '70s Show!
One of the greatest TV series ever created, and wasn't cancelled either. Brilliant acting, directing, writing, the show will forever be remembered in tv history
I said it on other channels and I'll say it on this one. They do not make comedies like this on TV any longer. But I'm so proud I was born in an era where I could enjoy these shows.
Now it's all edgy and vile
+ray lamar You can probably watch all the Home Impr. episodes you want online, somewhere (or on DVD).
I'll say.
ray lamar I was born in 1954 and your right they don’t, maybe that is what is wrong...
I cried when home improvement season was over and always love the show
I remember the show with "Greased Lightnin'", Heidi is still awesome! ;)
I always loved it, when the K & B boys were doing music in Tool Time. But this is the best thing ever! Nothing could ever top this!
Was fitting that the K and B crew (Mickey Jones RIP, Gary McGurk, Casey Sander) and the absolutely ageless Janeen Rae Heller played on Tool Time to conclude the series - they did the same as part of the finale for the very first season!
Some of my favorite episodes involved the K & B boys
K&B Construction honestly have one of the best Talking Heads covers I've ever heard!
All "will doing Informercials for a living" Borland... and a few years later, when Family Feud was not working.... we get the inflatable garden hose.
It's a good hose, until it leaks
Didnt he do hillshire farms lil smokey links?
@@MrVavantYes , he did
That was a good send-off.
Tool-time/home improvement.
That first joke is even funnier cause the guy paying Al is doing infomercials for a living now 🤣
This is a show that will NEVER die!! Can watch this over&over again & NEVER tire or get bored with it...so sad that things that are THIS OUTSTANDING must end🥺
I know and it's sad.
It's better to burn out than it is to fade away because when you fade away people have forgotten about you before you've even gone but when you burn out people will remember you in your Prime for the rest of time just like home improvement I got the box set I can watch the whole series again and again and again and it doesn't get old !! But imagine if they were on season 27 the magic would not be there
RIP Mickey Jones......(drummer)
"That would be me"
Omg what happened to him i saw him on different shows to i thought he was funny made me laugh yes -R.I.P. for sure really sad thanks for posting i had no idea he was even gone
He was awesome.
He died from complications of diabetes.
He played for Kenny Rogers' band The First Edition...
@32john1 I agree 100%. This show to me, completely represents the 90's. Can't believe it is 20 years old this year. None of today's sitcoms come close to Home Improvement. For me, one of the best parts of the show was the detail and quality that went into the sets. The house set especially looked more real than any other used in a sitcom.
So true
This song is unbelievable. I love it! My favourite Tool Time scene and i have seen all episodes on TV and on DVD!
i love the show and i love this song i miss it a lot. i wish it never went off air and still continued. but like all things life had to go on and move onto bigger and better things. at least we still have them on tv and dvd too watch them. =)
brilliant ending to a brilliant show
The reruns never get old
I agree because I still remember watching Home Improvement reruns after the show was cancelled
@@rosecruz1344
Same here.
Kenny Rogers' passing brought me here. I knew that Micky Jones died recently in 2018 and was looking for a clip of Tool Time's all-tool band. RIP Kenny and Mickey.
I miss this show. We need new tv shows like this
I remember seeing this episode. I miss the 90s.
One of the greatest shows ever! I miss this show very much.
This performance was FIRE. I'll be here all week.
Greetings from Germany. I love the scene. And I love the hole series. Thanks Tim
My dad had a construction worker friend named jimmy who was like the chief from one flew over the cukoos nest. He was the most intensely serious dude ever. I saw him belly laugh one time… when tim allen put soap in his mouth instead of mouthwash.
The drummer on this was Mickey Jones (aka the guy with the long beard). He was a legit drummer who played on one of Bob Dylan's most "infamous" tours. It's the one where Bob got booed for going electric. The entire show is on Dylan's Bootleg Series Vol. 4. Jones's drumming on the album is great.
Thank you for the info. He also played with Kenny Rogers for awhile too.
Ahhh, yes, for the children of the 70's this show was great. By the 90's we were old enough to understand the innuendo but still young enough to not be jaded about the "situational comedy". We'd sit and watch this sitcom with our kids or babysitting a friend's kids, reminiscing about the sitcoms "I watched when I was your age". In a bar a guy might hear "You a Tim Taylor or a Bob Villa when it comes to tools?" or a woman might hear "You want three kids? Who do you think you are, Jill Taylor?"
Alberta Rose Where is the innuendo anyway?
80s song not 70s
I love this episode
I wish that they would still do more episodes of Home Improvement
I love it!
i really like this song too!
Setting something on fire was a great way to end tool time and Home Improvement.
It's a cliché but I'm gonna say it anyway: they do not make shows like this anymore. This is such a classic tv moment as well as one of the best send offs ever! Loved this show as a kid and still love it now! Long live Home Improvement! :)
No because it was wholesome without all the cheap filth in so called comedies today. His Holiday specials were our favorite.
I grew up living like that and i am very happy to be seeing reruns of that show at anytime and its still funny then and now i still like the classic shows
I totally enjoy it when these guys get together & play their tool!!!
This was a TV rarity, it lasted many years, and stayed in the top ten ratings list for its entire run, what TV show can you say does that now? Well...NCIS does thats for sure, but still this show was my childhood, stories were original as were the characters and the actors who potrayed them always brought in something to the series. Jokes were recycled but they were never dull or stale it was always within good taste and never got old. Recurring chracters helped play a major role in this series
Isnt this the show that Jill acteress didnt want to do season 9 so Tim walked away too? Or am i making that up?
I know i love this show. Wish it was streaming but i have a few seasons on prime
@@maevemallory2122 apparently the producers wanted to to get rid of her character because of a pay dispute but Tim Allen wouldn't continue the show without her so it ended
@@Unvaccinated69 good for him
Who gets chills watching this!!??!!
Love this clip of Home Improvement
Tim still manages to start a fire anyway.
What a fun segment!😄🎼🎵🎶🪚🪚🪚
This was a great send off for one the best sitcoms of the 90s. Or in this case the show within the show.
Al is played by Richard Karn. He went on to host Family Feud for a while, which caused him to be compared endlessly to Richard Dawson (whom I know as Newkirk from Hogan's Heroes). And yes, "Al" does do a lot of infomercials.
i absolutely love this episode and this song!!!
good work I love it
Awe this is sad. I remember when this aired.
I loved that sow, still watch the reruns. Now there is the Last Man Standing starting back up in 2020!
When the boys from K&B show up, you know some good shit is about to go down.
Pass me a brewski and some shish ka-Billy Bob, and I'm a happy guy.
Love this segment from Home Improvement!
No worries. I grew up on this show. I cannot wait to own them all on DVD. I have season one at the moment.
I Just Recently watched The Three’s Company Series Finally for the First Time a few days ago and while I was doing so I Not Only Had the Urge and the Desire to watch the This Series Finally for Home Improvement but also I having flash’s of the Home Improvement Series Finally.
"AL 'I'll be doing infomercials'". How true. Richard Karn does those things for Pocket Hose.
What a lot of people don't realize is that Pete the K and B guy, is Actually Mickey Jones one of the greatest drummers that ever lived!
No holds barred? A movie with him, yes??
One of the best show endings ever.
i loved this everyone was soooo happy
Mickey Jones was so sweet. Hope he’s in “Tool Heaven.”
it's too bad Jonathan Taylor Thomas is not in this last episode of Home Improvement because he left the show during this last season for educational purposes and that he was my favorite from the show
i love home improvement
Best show out there
@prowresler yeah he does have the set, dont blame him, he realizes that show gave him his start and made him what he is today, It'd be nice to see a reunion special sometime, or a TV movie, sadly, since Earl Hindman died it wouldnt be the same
This was awesome
man i wanted to do heidi
kelly berry same here
Yes her fartbox begged to be tongue punched
@@curtisc6768 fawkin cumia
Yeah super hot. Way hotter than Pamela.
My teacher in Burbank high school went to high school with her
This really was one of the best.
That would be me.
I cant stop watching this!
Funny how I watched this in 2007 and then became a Talking Heads Fan 12 years later and now seeing this for the first time in 15 years.
This Show is Hilarious I Watched All 8 Seasons On Hulu
There are no good shows like this anymore so I just always watch reruns
I know right.
This is my second favorite scene in this episode,my favorite scene is the one where that poor excuse for a producer comes crawling back to Tim with his tail between his legs!😆
I had a great idea for one final scene:
Heidi intro's Tim for the first episode after the finale, and Morgan the producer has to be the assistant instead of "Al be on my honeymoon all week' Borland. Heidi gets a little water spilled on the floor, and Tim lets a bare wire fall into it(Hey, Morgan wanted staged accidents, now he gets one!). As 10,000 volts shoot through a screaming Morgan, Tim looks at the audience and says,
"Now, that's what I call SHOCK TV!"
This. My childhood. How I miss it.
Love this video
Aww they just don't make Tv shows like they used to.
Tv is to politicaly correct to make shows like this anymore.
dark zeratul damn good
it's good they don't make shows like this anymore.
Matt Wilson You know that’s true! The good old days!
@@imsljr420 then why are you here you clearly have no taste if you like most of the mess today.
I wish this was on iTunes
i bought all seasons recenty
Fantastic
Al"I'll be doing infomercials" Borland....and now he sells pocket hoses on TV
He also did FAMILY FEUD as well
Ironic that Richard Karn has in fact, done a couple infomercials.
Tim called it lol
most people dont know that pete is an actual drummer who played in bob dylans band in the 60s
That's cool and I didn't know that.
This is WAY better than the Talking Heads original Idgaf what anybody says They killed it!
Thank you!!! =D
Miss this show
Debbie Dunning is super cute
Paul Rust brought me here. And he’s right, this is embarrassing.
Ian Romboletti hahaha yeaa that’s why I’m here!
Ian Romboletti But it’s funny.
Alex Bogue sure, if you like laughing at the humiliation of others
The actors were having fun.
WarPaint 47 Right, cause this is edgy comedy. Hahaha, you silly little man.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Mickey Jones, the drummer, would have been 79 today-he played with Bob Dylan, among others. He was Pete Bilker on HO.
Favorite tv comdy show
Today on May 25, 2024, it has been officially 25 years since this episode aired on May 25 1999
Miss those days!
still makes me tear up... only thing is i wish they saluted Al And Tim
Back when TV shows made sense. Sure miss those days.
Yep. I hate how its all about backstabbing your friends and relatives now. Hate etc... sad. Andy Griffith did it best. This show was well done to
This show was the show of the 90’s that also defined it.
I wish they went a little further with the appliance fire. I wish Al would have said something about using the blanket instead of water and Tim being like yeah yeah, yeah, let's get to the good part
How cool would it be if David Byrne walked on to the set!!??
Haha yeah that would be cool.
I love Heidi.
Who didn't ??
Love it
@MVF116 That happens quite a lot. "That's Tim Taylor, care of Tool Time....!"
Like the song and the last episode it was good real 👍
REALLY ENJOYED PLAYER
Debbie had it over Pam in my book
@ThePerihelion @ThePerihelion is there any way u can upload the scene where tim and al are in the airport and they were at the gift shop car rental and everything at once with one guy and one sign he just kept changing
