    Fantastic information.
9.5 years ago I was very sick and heading for a stroke. I was also pre diabetic and had severe Insomnia. A Vegan came into my life and I listened! I made the decision to Stop my part in paying for the heinous crimes against the Innocent. Within 2 months my body healed!
I'm now 65 and fitter, faster & healthier than everyone around me and so grateful for my health!
    I don't get sick!

      # Red Meat and Cancer: Mechanism Comparison
      ## Pro-Cancer "Proposed Mechanisms"
      1. Heme iron
      - Hypothesis: May promote formation of carcinogenic N-nitroso compounds
      - Status: Mechanism proposed, not definitively proven in humans
      2. Heterocyclic amines (HCAs)
      - Hypothesis: Formed during high-temperature cooking, potentially mutagenic
      - Status: Carcinogenic in animal studies, human evidence limited
      3. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
      - Hypothesis: Formed during grilling/smoking, potentially carcinogenic
      - Status: Known carcinogens, but direct link to red meat consumption not established
      Key Limitations:
      - Lack of identified specific compound in whole food matrix
      - No demonstrated direct causal pathway in humans
      - Reliance on epidemiological associations and animal studies
      ## Anti-Cancer Demonstrated Mechanisms (Trans Vaccenic Acid)
      1. T Cell Reprogramming (Nature, 2023)
      - Mechanism: Inactivates GPR43 receptor, activates cAMP-PKA-CREB pathway
      - Result: Enhanced CD8+ T cell function against tumors
      - Status: Demonstrated in vitro and in vivo
      2. Apoptosis Induction (Lipids in Health and Disease, 2019)
      - Mechanism: Decreases p-Akt levels and Bad phosphorylation
      - Result: Triggers mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis in cancer cells
      - Status: Demonstrated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells
      3. Direct Anti-Carcinogenic Effect (Nutrients, 2014)
      - Mechanism: Multiple pathways including cell cycle arrest
      - Result: Inhibition of breast cancer cell proliferation
      - Status: Demonstrated in MCF-7 human mammary adenocarcinoma cells
      4. CLA-Independent Anti-Cancer Action (J. Korean Soc. Appl. Biol. Chem., 2014)
      - Mechanism: Direct effect, not requiring conversion to conjugated linoleic acid
      - Result: Anti-carcinogenic effect on breast cancer cells
      - Status: Demonstrated in T47D breast carcinoma cells
      Key Strengths:
      - Specific compound (TVA) identified in red meat
      - Multiple demonstrated causal pathways
      - Evidence from various cancer types and cell lines
      - Confirmation in both in vitro and animal studies

Go ahead and take the first step today. I encourage you and wish you well on your journey. You can absolutely do this if you set your mind to it and stick with it. Just keep watching videos like these to remind yourself why you’re doing this, that’s what I do. And please know your taste buds will change slowly as you decrease animal products, saturated fat and salt. Last night I made the most incredible chick pea curry in the pressure cooker. I have an amazing meal for 3-4 days. I put in garlic, onions, ginger, cumin powder, smoked paprika powder, cinnamon powder, extra turmeric powder for color, hot pepper flakes, Himalayan salt and black pepper, chick peas, edamame beans, tomato sauce, 1 cup of soya milk (lower fat content than coconut milk), frozen spinach and finally fresh chopped parsley. Ate it in a wooden bowl with pita and just felt gratitude towards the universe, that’s how good it was. You can do this. We all support you!

On another note, I was never a big processed food eater, ate mostly vegetables and fruits but my down fall has been high oxalate foods such as peanuts, nuts, unsweetened tea, sweet potatoes, green vegetable smoothies, etc. I was lucky not to have any kidney stones. Based on my research, high oxalates contributed to OR may have caused my life threatening disease. Everyone was surprised when I was diagnosed because I was known as the "health nut".

As @suzannepurple says, soils have been depleted, (through mismanagement, even organic can be). Healing our soils veganically is top priority. Plants are key. Also if overcoming illness more is needed.

This admittedly very convincing video confuses me. I have recently been given a low cholesterol reading (the lowest I have had in 15 years or so. I am 49 years old) and the changes I made were eating more meat (organic as much as possible or from a local, reputable farm, here in Northamptonshire, UK), big portions of salad and vegetables mainly leafy greens, green beans, broccoli, red peppers, cauliflower but also full fat cheese, roasted and salted mixed nuts from marks and Spencers (no peanuts), almond butter, lots of exercise (x3-5 times per week 20-40 mins hiit or circuit style training), approx 2l water but no sugar of any kind including honey or maple syrup, no bread, pasta, potatoes, sweetcorn, carrots or other grains or starchy foods. There are so many people on UA-cam all equally passionate about healthy diets all setting out their arguments convincingly and this man is definitely convincing. But I have to say, so are others speaking against an all plant diet making It difficult to know who to believe. For now, I think I am going to stay as I am and have my blood work redone in 6 months for a comparison and then again 6 months thereafter. I struggle to believe everything should be meat or vegetables. I believe that we are made to eat both foods (Having canine teeth should be some proof of that as well as the length/size of our intestines). I also believe the real criminals are sugar, our modern lifestyles and food production (esp. high fructose corn syrup). these things have hurt us so much.

If you have a balanced wholefoods diet with plenty of tofu, soy milk, mushrooms, etc. you shouldn't worry too much. Expose yourself to sunshine during summer, and take a vitamin D supplement from lichen during colder months. Vegavero Vegan Essentials is a good source.

@@patriciawolf8121 Both forms increase vitamin D in your blood, so you're focusing on the wrong things. Best thing is not to take it on an empty stomach or without an omega-3, because vitamin D is fat soluble, so you increase absorption this way. There's nothing magical in animal sources that you can't have on a balanced wholefood plant-based eating lifestyle.

You are absolutely right…vegan diets ARE NOT nutritionally balanced and lack many nutrients…the whole “Red meat causes cancer” is absolute rubbish. What is really driving the rise in cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc-is TOO MANY CARBOHYDRATES in the diet-this is because of the three energy sources humans can obtain from their diet-fats, proteins, and carbohydrates…carbohydrates are NOT essential.
