Did anyone else notice that despite being a hologram Adam was able to grab and throw Charlie. They play with the gage of Charlie not being able to touch Adam twice. But wen the tables were turned Adam could absolutely touch Charlie, and I haven't seen anyone else appreciate just how fucking terrifying that is.
That's the thing, people are just looking at his personality and either liking or hating the "dudebro" thing and writing him off but he is extremely powerful, likely on Lucifers level, being the leader of all angels which Lucifer is a fallen angel. If it wasn't for his personality Charlie could have been in real danger.
It shows 2 things for me; 1) The angels never treated working with sinners seriously. Despite having an embassy, it is completely unmanned even though its supposed to be a place for representation. 2) It highlights the power difference and dynamic between Heaven and Hell. The demons aren't able to even touch the angels, but if the angels chose to they could.

About the angels looking like demons, Vizie has said that when angels go to hell they gain a demoniac appearance, and if a demon went to heaven they would also gain a more angelic form, the executioners also literally use LED masks to hide their true faces, so that's why their faces look so bland.
Oh did not know that, and here I was wondering if the exorcists were actually from Purgatory due to the mixed appearance. But still Adam is the first human to try to shift the blame for their actions, and the first to blame God for his own failures, so I'm still convinced there's something rotten with him that he SHOULD be in Hell. Especially if you combine that shrinking of responsibility for his actions with the statement of "I've never done anything wrong in my life."
I’m probably reaching here, but learning about Lucifer and Lilith origins in this show, Charlie’s personality suddenly makes a new kind of sense. Lucifer and Lilith were “rebellious dreamers” trying to make things better in some way. And that’s exactly what Charlie is now. Mayhaps Charlie is more like her parents than previously thought, or at least like who they once were. It makes me wonder: If Lucifer does take some form of antagonistic role, however brief, would it be motivated by “I don’t want you to get hurt the way I did?” I guess we’ll wait and see, Vivzie and the team can do whatever they want.
The sad thing is Charlie the new dreamer is now being downtrodden by not just the sinners she is trying to help, her dad the ex-dreamer also doesn't believe her.
It sounds like a cool idea but there's no way they'd actually let Adam or any of the other angels have any kind of good motivation, so I'm pretty sure he'll just end up as another token evil character.

I'm sorry in advance for the essay I have written I haven't watched the video yet, but I did some investigating when it showed up in my recommended earlier. So, first thoughts from my research and 30 seconds into the video (and yes I will be updating this as I watch and waiting to comment until the end): Red pandemon? adorable wordplay. They/them pin? immediate bonus points. The expressive and detailed as hell eyes? unique af and I'm here for it. The model as a whole, with the floppy sleeves? absolutely cute. First minute in: the backgrounds/overlays are definitely giving smaller indie creator, but not in a bad way. The editing definitely wont be for everyone but it works great for me. 3 and a half minutes in: its not just the editing, your whole sense of humor is fabulous 5 and a half minutes in: Ha get jumpscared by the lesbians. Oh it was the cat. Shoot 11 and a half minutes in: I don't want to diagnose you with Tumblr yet, but you're definitely giving some level of Very Online. To be clear, this is in no way an insult. Lute didn`t call God "Daddy", she was mocking Charlie by saying that the only reason the Hellborn aren`t being exterminated with the sinners is because they made a deal with Lucifer to spare his and Lilith`s own fallen angel descendants.
In the original story, Adam & Lilith wanted to be dominant during intercourse, neither wanted to submit until Lilith had enough and fled the garden of Eden. Adam became lonely, so God used his rib to create Eve. Lilith became powerfull by mating with Demons, she turned herself into a snake to tempt Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.
In the actual original story, Lilith doesn't exist. She was never mentioned in the Bible and is basically Hebrew fanfiction that gets constantly retconned in later by people on the internet who want to have an edgy succubus demon woman. Lucifer was the snake, and Adam and Eve were the original humans. At least you got the rib thing right.

So I guess that`s his version of "Hate the sin, love the sinner." Or in his case "Hate the sin, love the one sinner and exterminate the rest."
I think the exterminators looking like Imps makes sense for one of two reasons. Either to show that even though they're divine beings, that doesn't mean they're inherently good and that hellborn and heavenborn aren't that different. It could also be so an intimidation thing, to make the ones that slaughter demons look like creatures that were born in Hell so your first thought when seeing them is that they're dangerous since they look like they're from Hell.

THE man, The myth, The legend. Once again we have Alex Brightman voicing a character, this time ADAM of all people! Fizz shares a voice actor with the original Man which is wild. The rest of the cast voices sound good. Angels was the one i was iffy about the most but its grown on me so quickly, now onwards to actual content: Adam being originally human tells me that regular / pious humans or those specifically favored by god, become the kind of angel that they use as exterminators and that is why adam leads them, as well as having a form that would change between heaven and hell. Meanwhile Lucifer was a much higher ranking angel and as far as we can tell , kept his form relatively consistent (assuming the story book is not rose tinted by charlie and her view of her parents which, lets be real, it most likely is)
A slight misconception: The interconnected rings are only present on Thrones, who are basically God's handmaids, Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones all have the multiple eyes thing, but the lower ranked Angles, like Adam and Lute are humans who ascended to Heaven, like how humans in Hell become demons.

I have a theory that angels and demons look so similar because they are the same species just adapted to live in different places. Like how some animals who live snowy places are usually white and animals in forest are usually brown. Angels are raised to think they are better than demons but they actually have a lot in common.

And unlike The Sinner demons, the hell born demons wouldn't have any reason of wanting to go to heaven in the first place much less to deal with them. So, something I've realized and i haven't seen anyone bring up, God's never actually mentioned as being a character in this. During the beginning story telling sequence, they don't say god rules heaven, Charlie says heaven is ruled by elder angels, she doesn't even say they worship god, she says they worship good like the concept of goodness and morality. So does god actually exist in this universe? or is this like a case of they do exist but there isn't anybody who as actually met him, Not even the angels?

that's just what the exterminators outfits look like, those aren't their real faces, they're LED masks that they wear, and they likely don't have horns either, it's just part of their helmets, the same applies to Adam.
I'm 100% confident that Adam is wearing a mask for 2 major reasons. 1. During the story book intro of ep 1, we can see Adam's silhouette after being created, while it's clearing that Adam has put on a few LBS since his creation, the more important thing to note is that there is a clear nose on his silhouette, which Adam by the team we meet him does not have. However you could argue that his angelic form simply does not have a clear nose, which brings me to the really important evidence. In the side profiles we have of Adam eating and speaking, when he opens his mouth, no gap is created to show what's behind his mouth, unlike every other character in the series. We can also see the visible outline of his face continuing as if his mouth isn't open at all which, again, isn't the case for the other characters. Also, the inside of his mouth is the exact same color as the rest of his "skin," which is totally unique to him.

Some people says thas Adam similar to chaz, that's not true. Unlike chaz, Adam has much more personality, and i love him. In the beginning he is just pranking charlie, and it's just pranks, not sex jokes. He talked about his d in one sentence, first it's just a pranks, third, he talked about hisunlucky date, after that he explains to charlie about his black and white views. And he didn't tempted, seduced or lured to anyone in this episode at all unlike Chaz. Adam likes rock, he is talented singer, his song is amazing, he has an issue of anequal communication with women(make sence), his favorite food is ribs (funny reference if you remember what his wife is made of), he is overall charismatic douchebag, and i love him for that. Also Chaz has gross scenes, like licking his lips, Adam doesn't have any of that shit.Adam definitely seems to have more going on then just being a strawman dudebro, and my thought is that he probably uses times like these when he's (sort of) out of Heaven to 'cut loose' and act like a total d(master) since he probably can't actually do that up in Heaven itself. Plus he's dealing with a demon (Charlie) so why the hell should he care if he offends her? Guy's laughing his ass off watching Charlie honestly push the idea of redemption for demons because he knows her plan has no chance because overpopulation in Hell was never actually the issue. So why not just have fun with the bleeding-heart? But end of episode 1 does reveal that he seems to be much more canny and willing to actually think things through and strategize unlike his second Lute who wanted to just rush down to Hell and slaughter everyone, but he rightfully points out that doing it that quick would tip the demons off that Heaven was actually freaked out by the incident, so instead he makes a big grand display and plays the part of "Oh man I just love killing demons so much I can't wait a whole year so gonna be back in half time!"
I hear you! to clarify, I wasn't saying I think Chaz and Adam are exactly the same. Adam just *reminded* me of Chaz a little bit given his grandiose attitude and image of self-importance, not just because of the handful of dick jokes. I haven't watched the video yet, but I did some investigating when it showed up in my recommended earlier. So, first thoughts from my research and 30 seconds into the video (and yes I will be updating this as I watch and waiting to comment until the end): Red pandemon? adorable wordplay. They/them pin? immediate bonus points. The expressive and detailed as hell eyes? unique af and I'm here for it. The model as a whole, with the floppy sleeves? absolutely cute.
First minute in: the backgrounds/overlays are definitely giving smaller indie creator, but not in a bad way. The editing definitely wont be for everyone but it works great for me.
3 and a half minutes in: its not just the editing, your whole sense of humor is fabulous
5 and a half minutes in: Ha get jumpscared by the lesbians. Oh it was the cat. Shoot
11 and a half minutes in: I don't want to diagnose you with Tumblr yet, but you're definitely giving some level of Very Online. To be clear, this is in no way an insult. Just an observation.
14 and a half minutes in: thats because keith david (voice of husk, King Andreas from amphibia, the bad guy from Princess and the frog, etc) is a higher deity that decided to be a voice actor for a while as a treat to the rest of us mere mortals.

19 minutes in: I love seeing you get so excited over what is in my opinion one of the weaker songs in the show so far, can't wait to get to your other reactions to see you get to the good songs.

31 and a half minutes in: Lute is actually referring to Lucifer, Charlies actual father and the fallen angel who made a deal with heaven that hellborn entities (imps, hellhounds, Charlie, etc) be spared from exterminations.
Side thoughts: I'm sure its too late to fix now, but for future reference maybe move the subtitles up like half an inch? some of them get covered up by the face on the bottom of the overlay frame. The more I pay attention to your model, the more things I love (like the tail moving independently). Barking for lilith you are so real for that.

Another edit because I can't help myself: I love the shot of Adam walking down the clouds. The light, the colours, him up high, Charlie on the ground, it's honestly wallpaper material tbh. Also Adam flapping his arms with his wings was a cool shot, as was all the golden angels clapping and moving with him. This song is just so fucking good, man. Visually and audibly. Also I love that Lute only shows emotions other than apathy and disdain when Adam talks about how they enjoy killing sinners and that they're going to be back sooner

I think the exterminators looking like Imps makes sense for one of two reasons. Either to show that even though they're divine beings, that doesn't mean they're inherently good and that hellborn and heavenborn aren't that different. It could also be so an intimidation thing, to make the ones that slaughter demons look like creatures that were born in Hell so your first thought when seeing them is that they're dangerous since they look like they're from Hell.
And I think the angels with multiple wings are only for the higher rank like Lucifer was

The rest of the cast voices sound good. Angels was the one i was iffy about the most but its grown on me so quickly, now onwards to actual content:
Adam being originally human tells me that regular / pious humans or those specifically favored by god, become the kind of angel that they use as exterminators and that is why adam leads them, as well as having a form that would change between heaven and hell. Meanwhile Lucifer was a much higher ranking angel and as far as we can tell , kept his form relatively consistent (assuming the story book is not rose tinted by charlie and her view of her parents which, lets be real, it most likely is)
A slight misconception: The interconnected rings are only present on Thrones, who are basically God's handmaids, Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones all have the multiple eyes thing, but the lower ranked Angles, like Adam and Lute are humans who ascended to Heaven, like how humans in Hell become demons.
I think the Daddy in question is Lucifer, because in the story Charlie reads, it's the Angels creating humanity

I have a theory that angels and demons look so similar because they are the same species just adapted to live in different places. Like how some animals who live snowy places are usually white and animals in forest are usually brown. Angels are raised to think they are better than demons but they actually have a lot in common.

So, something I've realized and i haven't seen anyone bring up, God's never actually mentioned as being a character in this. During the beginning story telling sequence, they don't say god rules heaven, Charlie says heaven is ruled by elder angels, she doesn't even say they worship god, she says they worship good like the concept of goodness and morality. So does god actually exist in this universe? or is this like a case of they do exist but there isn't anybody who as actually met him, Not even the angels?
Right? Until we get confirmation there is a god in this show I'll assume there isn't.

that's just what the exterminators outfits look like, those aren't their real faces, they're LED masks that they wear, and they likely don't have horns either, it's just part of their helmets, the same applies to Adam.
At the end you can see a angel with their head cut off and later you can see it head and it don’t look like a mask as their neck connects to it
I'm 100% confident that Adam is wearing a mask for 2 major reasons.
1. During the story book intro of ep 1, we can see Adam's silhouette after being created, while it's clearing that Adam has put on a few LBS since his creation, the more important thing to note is that there is a clear nose on his silhouette, which Adam by the team we meet him does not have. However you could argue that his angelic form simply does not have a clear nose, which brings me to the really important evidence. In the side profiles we have of Adam eating and speaking, when he opens his mouth, no gap is created to show what's behind his mouth, unlike every other character in the series. We can also see the visible outline of his face continuing as if his mouth isn't open at all which, again, isn't the case for the other characters. Also, the inside of his mouth is the exact same color as the rest of his "skin," which is totally unique to him.

Some people says thas Adam similar to chaz, that's not true. Unlike chaz, Adam has much more personality, and i love him. In the beginning he is just pranking charlie, and it's just pranks, not sex jokes. He talked about his d in one sentence, first it's just a pranks, third, he talked about hisunlucky date, after that he explains to charlie about his black and white views. And he didn't tempted, seduced or lured to anyone in this episode at all unlike Chaz. Adam likes rock, he is talented singer, his song is amazing, he has an issue of anequal communication with women(make sence), his favorite food is ribs (funny reference if you remember what his wife is made of), he is overall charismatic douchebag, and i love him for that. Also Chaz has gross scenes, like licking his lips, Adam doesn't have any of that shit.Adam definitely seems to have more going on then just being a strawman dudebro, and my thought is that he probably uses times like these when he's (sort of) out of Heaven to 'cut loose' and act like a total d(master) since he probably can't actually do that up in Heaven itself. Plus he's dealing with a demon (Charlie) so why the hell should he care if he offends her? Guy's laughing his ass off watching Charlie honestly push the idea of redemption for demons because he knows her plan has no chance because overpopulation in Hell was never actually the issue. So why not just have fun with the bleeding-heart?
But end of episode 1 does reveal that he seems to be much more canny and willing to actually think things through and strategize unlike his second Lute who wanted to just rush down to Hell and slaughter everyone, but he rightfully points out that doing it that quick would tip the demons off that Heaven was actually freaked out by the incident, so instead he makes a big grand display and plays the part of "Oh man I just love killing demons so much I can't wait a whole year so gonna be back in half time!"
Next thing you know, Adam ends up being the Doom Slayer
I hear you! to clarify, I wasn't saying I think Chaz and Adam are exactly the same. Adam just *reminded* me of Chaz a little bit given his grandiose attitude and image of self-importance, not just because of the handful of dick jokes. I personally feel Adam has more in common with Mammon, but at the end of the day, I still feel like they're all distinguishable and not clones of each other. I just think the three of them would either get along great or absolutely hate each if they went bowling, simply bc they're too similar in joke styles, etc
i always thought the exorcists (the angels that kill people in hell) are wearing masks, so we may not be seeing their true forms at all. (would explain how weird it lookd when Adam was eating th ribs)
