Sinners can't die unless by angelic weapons. Other than that they can regenerate from anything. If the body is completely destroyed then they'll reconstitute elsewhere, but the process is hella painful.

I might be completely wrong in this, but I remember some one saying that if anyone in hell dies, like by angelic weapons or whatever, they get absorbed into the world, and that's why we see eyes incorporated in inanimate objects and architecture, and more appear after a large amount of death.

OH and Alastor also makes an animal noise-- the noise you hear as soon as Sir Pent tears his coat-- an Elk sound can be heard which oddly enough sounds like a Radio screech 👀 (as well as when Al is transforming during the musical number “Stayed Gone”)
I really wish you’d pause a little more and take in scenes or even background details cause I’d much prefer you taking your time reacting then just trying to get through the reaction 😩

Im actually surprised a lot of fanon liked to portray Vox's voice with a filter. He's a flatscreen tv, of course his audio would be clear and crisp! I love how the filter only comes on when he's tweaking or angry
EXACTLY! Him having such a filter on all the time doesn't exactly speak "technology of the future" as it sounds more like a box TV. Plus, having him use the filter only at certain moments directly opposes that of Alastor, who has his filter on all the time while occasionally slipping out of it.
I interpret it as him "turning up the volume" even really nice tvs when you turn them up loud enough sound distorted. Atleast in my experience but i also get my tvs from pawn shops and walmart 😂
he did used to have an old type TV as a head, so I could imagine maybe his voice used to be a little distorted, but I could see the rational that his voice would be a different "part" to upgrade similar to how to you buy nice speakers for real TVs

The audience got to see Angels mask slip slightly, but the characters didn't. Charlie loves him but she and Vaggie still think he's only here for the room because thats the facade he's kept up with them, so they have no idea he was feeling hurt.
Little detail I noticed…When Angel said “This little bitch is a traitor” there is a bit of a ‘drunk’ tone to it since he had been drinking beforehand. Love that detail

I really love that they included this scene with Val having an Fizzy bot by his side as an servant, I mean most of the fandom knows that Helluva boss and Hazbin hotel share the same universe.. but its really nice to see the Fizzy bot in the show like that.
Also.. did you know that you can hear the sound of an Wendigo when Alastor uses his powers, like when he sends Sir Pentious flying.
Which is really cool as Wendigo would fit Alastor's character.
I also love the inclusion of cameos like that!! I feel like it's a really great way to expand the universe :D
One of the few indicators they are the same universe, although the pride ring is more the proper hell and the other rings might as well be called the demon world as there are no human souls allowed in them. But the bot being there does let us know that there is some overlap timeline wise that if Fizzaroli has been working for Mammon for ten years then Hazbin Hotel is somewhere in there. Although Hazbin Hotel season 1 could still be set before any events in Helluva Boss as some theories go as this show was intended to be made first, it just didn't work out that way.
@@TheRhuen Ok.. but I legit just thought this now.. so we all know that Sinners can't leave the pride ring.. Well who does the I.M.P take contracts from? People who died and went to hell so a.k.a Sinners.. meaning Blitz, Loona, Millie and Moxxie are all in the Pride ring.. as that would be the only way they can sinners come into their office.
Which does make me wonder if we ever see them in the background someday in the future.
Also about timeline wise.. well it's true it have to be in the 10 year Fizzaroli worked for mammon.. so who knows maybe the I.M.P maybe haven't yet started their business up yet.
I feel like I should point this out, the sound Alastor makes is an elk call. He is ment to be a wendigo, but that is not inherently a wendigo sound.
@@zero69kage well maybe.. but seeing as you just said that he is meant to be an Wendigo.. and Wendigo's normally is shown with deer/elk skulls then it would make sense for the sound he makes to be of an Wendigo. obviously its not like anyone knows what an Wendigo sound like.. so they use something that seems fitting.
While it is interesting to think of vox's old life as being a hacker, it's most likely that he was a TV salesman, seeing as his whole gimmick is pretty much manipulating people into buying extremely expensive stuff for little to no reason.
Fun fact: in Val's apartment, you can see a picture of what val and Vox looked like when they first entered hell.
Vox appears to have been a Box TV with a huge part at the back.
And when those were still around and very common, the concept of hacking didn't really exist.
So he was most likely a manipulative salesman who who lied and controlled other to get what he wants... I mean I thought it was obvious, why else is it that when he's in public, he sounds like a seedy car salesman who is trying to get you to buy expensive and crappy car?
the reason why I probe and question despite how "obvious" the answer may seem is because sometimes things aren't what they appear on the surface! I didnt see the picture you're talking about initially and I was simply trying to tear apart all potential backgrounds ^^ although, your note about how hackers were less common in box TV days is a good point! "seedy salesman" isn't the only popular headcanon either though; some people in the comments find him to serve more "immoral TV show host/news anchor" vibes than anything else. at the end of the day though, we're all just forming FIIIILMMM THEORIIESSSSS and we can't be 100% confident until it's canonized in the series

I love the juxtaposition in the Vox vs. Alistor song. Vox starts out alone in his station, saying Alistor will wish he never came back, then going on air to the public. Alistor starts out talking to the public, and after the black out, it feels like Vox is alone watching and listening to Alistor's closing part.
Except Vox wasn’t alone. He had a whole-ass crew with him. But Al can *actually* do everything by himself.
You mentioned in your first episode reaction that you like the little animal background noises for the characters. Not sure you noticed but since Valentino is based on a moth, he makes little squeaks when he talks just like real moths do
“24601” is a reference to ‘Les Misérables’ - I really liked Hugh Jackman’s performance m. The whole cast was great

Oh hell yeah, I've been excited for more of your Hazbin reactions! Having now seen the entire season and knowing all the big twists and turns, I'm am SO excited for the rest. I don't have much to say about this episode other than Vox is hilarious, Alastor's demon form was absolutely terrifying, and Sir Pentious is the best snek boi.
Edit: Oh yeah I also love that Vox's voice distorts when he gets mad. And his electric powers are so cool. I know he's probably not as powerful as Alasotr, but I'm sure he's got some strong lightning power. Also yes, Velvette's line about her model needing to pull herself back together is in reference to the fact that Sinners can't permanently die unless an angelic weapon kills them. Also I saw someone point out that Val actually squeaks a little when he talks because apparently some moths can squeak. It's hard to hear, but once you hear it it's hard to unhear it lol. Also that Alastor doodle was drawn by Viv years ago, I'm so happy they included it lol
Edit: I love our girl Charlie and the scene is funny, but making Angel play the drug dealer was probably a bit insensitive considering he's an addict. Also I love how they completely sidestepped the trope of blaming the character they know and trusting the new guy

Going from what we see of them, Vox and Valentino are kind of manipulative towards each other simultaneously. Vox is able to use Valentino's desire to look respectable to keep his homicidal temper in check (while also using him to dispose of his least useful employees for extra measure). Val, at least when he isn't losing his sh*t over Angel, can use Vox's obsessive hatred of Alastor to provoke him into making a fool of himself trying to one up the radio demon while getting reminded of how he depends on him and Velvette for his success, which is supported by the sly smiles he and Vel have when Alastor boasts about how Vox'd "be powerless without the other Vees". They're a slightly more stable-but toxic relationship in a more subtle way that can be hard to see on first watch.
If I remember right vox has his ability where he can teleport using any video equipment

Just from his outfit I can tell Vox was some sort of early TV personality. Unlike Alastor though he's actually intent on keeping up with technology. There's even a picture in the background of one scene where he has an old CRT TV for a head. Man replaced his whole head to keep up with the times.

I have an odd little theory, it's most likely that Valentino was kind of a backup option for the Vs, think about it.
The others revolve around technology and media. Vox controls the most things with screens. Velvette represents cellphones and social media apps like tiktok and Twitter.
Valentino does not represent any kind of Technology. Alastor on the other hand does represent technology, he represents the radio.
Another interesting little tidbit, look at als name next to vox's.
Alastor/Vox? Audio/Visual? It's most likely that they were friends in the past, but something happened which caused bad blood to form.
What we do know however is that Vox wanted Al in the V's and Al refused...
Now chances are that if Al did join the V's he would most likely of had to change his name choose something starting with a v, some people think Venison...
But the other choice actually sheds some light on a topic. Valastor would have most likely been Al's name had he joined.
Funnily enough that name just so happens to have the shortened nickname of Val... You know the shortened name of Valentino? What if Valentino wasn't supposed to be a member of the V's originally, and with only chosen as a backup option.
It would also be really f***** up because Valentino's own name would essentially serve as a reminder that he is the second pick, the "if the popular kid doesn't want to join our team, pick a rando" option.
Underneath all of the cruelty and anger and abuse, he might have mental trauma.
I do think it'd be interesting for Valentino to have been a backup, and with the evidence you provided, it does seem feasible! That said, I don't think attributing Val's abusive behavior to mental trauma is the vibe. He doesn't seem the type to find himself beneath anyone, even if its being bonked on the top of his head that he is. He's too full of himself, I think

I realized after rewatching this.
I saw a post about the name of the Vee's that said: "vee" is also a word for a certain type of polyamorous relationship in which one person dates two different people separately who don't have a relationship with each other. So it can be assumed by this and the way they all speak to and about each other that Vox is dating both Valentino and Velvette, but the relationship between Velvette and Val is a working one.
SO I just realized, when Alastor says Vox asked him to join his team, maybe Vox was also saying he was interested in Alastor and Al's aroace ass was like, "No way!"

To me, I get the vibe that Vox and Val are more "Friends with Benefits" than an "item" because of how much Vox seems to genuinely hate Val and considering how many other people Val is implied to bang on the regular. I may be wrong, but like I said, that's the vibe I get.
I'm so late on this one, but.. on the theory that more people have lived and died with radio in their lives, than tv: Radio became wide-spread around 1910. Television overtook radio as the dominant medium around 1950. And we are now in 2024. So radio had around 40 years as the main medium, while TV has been widespread for almost 75 years. But the argument might still be valid if we angle it slightly differently as being radio vs online streaming.

I really love the difference between Vox's and Al's verses. Vox just tells people what to think and throws around half cooked insults at an impossible to follow pace. Alastor makes genuine observations and asks the veiwers questions at a speed that we can hear him. It really shows the priorities of the two. (Quantity vs Quality)

As you are still back on episode 2 i am surprised you are managing to avoid later episode spoilers. So many on youtube couldn't wait a day to post clips with spoiler filled thumbnails and titles. I had to run over and watch the episodes right away to avoid the spoilers...final episodes especially right now. I saw one song title spoiler and jumped right over to prime to watch and good thing because as soon as i went to UA-cam right after there were major spoilers for the episode all over the place.

Id like to point out that what Alastor says at the end of the song about the status quo and people wishing he stayed gone is obviously a rebuttle to Vox saying pretty much the same thing at the start but heres the thing Vox wasnt live when he said that so the fact that Alastor somehow heard it is fucking terrifying
