The biggest reason for Alastor's deal is just that he hates TV. He is the RADIO demon, and if nobody listens to the radio, then he is obsolete.
Plus Vox can spy/pop out of any television or high tech device so by refusing to use modern technology he's technically protecting the Hotel

Whenever people start talking about the Bible being the 'infallible word of God," I'm like, do you have ANY idea how much stuff was not included in the common version we have today? How many revisions, editing, and 'built by committee' stuff went into what we look as the modern Bible? Heck, even the different translations we have vary a lot between each other depending on which version you're looking at.
On the plus side, the Apocrypha /does/ make for some great material for cool biblically-adjacent storytelling.

When Vaggie agreed to Alastor's deal, it was the start of a slippery slope event. Get her to agree to a small, seemingly harmless deal, then another, and another. After a bit, he making bigger deals on both ends. Nothing too major, but she gets more, and so does he. Eventually, it reaches the point where he offers Vaggie a very large deal, for something very important, and with all that they have agreed to before... would it be so bad?

This show is absolutely amazing so far. Great characters, banger songs, an intriguing story with massive stakes, I can't wait to see where it all goes. Also, I like how the angels are portrayed as more evil than the demons. And that they say these demons "earned their damnation" when Adam was the one who committed the original sin. If anyone deserves to be stuck in Hell forever, it's him.

I absolutely feel like Adam will be one of those villains that's fun to hate. Of course considering the ending, he might also end up being far more competent than we expect as well. Also I never get tired seeing people's reaction to the big time cut reveal. It still has an impact even though I've seen the episode multiple times and several other reactions.
The thing is, with every deal Alastor makes, no matter how simple he gets more powerful

[I've also only watched the first episode, and I'm avoiding the spoilers above this. Everything I say is speculation.]
If anything, I think Striker would side _with_ the angels on this one. He hates demon royalty - pretty much all demons, in fact. He thinks that imps have been oppressed and that they're naturally superior. The exterminators are everything he wishes he could do.
Plus, his blessing-tipped rifle can kill demon royalty - not angels. I doubt a blessed weapon would hurt the blessed. But who knows?
In deep cut Jewish lore, Adam had three wives. Lillith was his conceptual equal, made of the dust of the ground like him, and she resented being asked to submit. His second wife was unnamed, also formed by hand by God, but Adam watched all the organs and vessels and blood and muscles being made and he was disgusted, so she was just unmade. That's why he was put to sleep when Eve was made from his rib, so he wouldn't see it.

First four episodes are up on prime now if people want to watch it before the react tomorrow. Just watched the first two, it doesn't quite have the manic energy of the pilot, but it's a lot of fun so far all the same, and the new songs are great.
I would hope it don’t have the same pacing as the pilot it has more time to cover the topics than the pilot did
Adam's voiced by Alex Brightman, the same voice as Fizzarolli from Helluva Boss, and the voice of the titular character in the Beetlejuice Broadway musical. Easily one of my favorite singing voices as far as showtunes go. I also love how he can voice the single most and least wholesome of characters in the same universe (at least until we get someone more evil than Adam).

Long story short in some traditions Lillith was made at the same time as Adam from the same material but refused to submit to his will so she left the garden. Adam whined to the loard that he was lonely and when the angels couldn't convince her to return and do as she was told she got cursed while Adam was fashoned a new bride out of his rib that would be more submissive, most likely to avoid a repeat incident.
@Gabriel-sn6yg yeah, I consider the Jewish texts as a precursor to the Christian ones so I portrayed it that way in my answer given it fits the narrative of the show as far as we have seen.

The first episode was so awesome, I'm so glad I watched the Hazbin Hotel Pilot a few days ago in preparation for the show and I finally got Into this fandom because the first episode had me dying 😂🔥🔥
Everyone overlooks a major clue about Vaggie being an angel. They always point out her spear and her X but no one seems to point out how her hair is very intentionally WING SHAPED and has the exact same pattern as the exterminators' wings. Just watch, she's gonna go full angel mode and her hair and wings are going to be tied somehow.

Alastor/the radio demon has been said to be accurately aroace so aromantic asexual. Just to clarify for ppl who don't understand or don't know about these sexualitys aromantic is defined like either its harder for ppl to get romantic feelings for others or they don't get them at all pluse some don't want to be in a romantic relationship and some do. Asexual is defined as someone who is not attracted to ppls looks and either don't want sex at all or only under certain reasons they want it. For a real life example I'm aroace my asexual is I dont want sex at all cause it makes me uncomfortable and I am not attracted to ppls looks. I am also aromantic I want to be in a romantic relationship but it's harder for me to get feelings cause I have to be friends with ppl for a long time and know everything about them before I develop feelings for them. But that's just me it an umbrella category like there are multiple of different kinds.
I’m also Ace, specially the microlabel Apothisexual (meaning I feel no sexual attraction or desire alongside being extremely sex-repulsed). I feel the need to clarify this for other people who may come across your comment, so they don’t get the wrong idea of what asexuality is.
Only part of that is how asexuality is defined. The definition of asexual is feeling little to no sexual attraction/desire. Being attracted to someone’s looks is called aesthetic attraction and it certainly can be influenced by how asexuality shows in a certain person, but whether or not you feel aesthetic attraction is not part of that definition.
Seeing someone as physically attractive doesn’t mean you feel sexual attraction to them (sexual attraction is just desiring to have sex with another person). Plenty of Ace people do feel aesthetic attraction. I do, as do many of the Ace people I know or have come across.

Sometimes when I learn about something new I sometimes forget the detailed parts of the facts about things I still know a bit about it but sometimes I forget certain details. I really appreciate that you were kind about correcting my mistake instead of some others who are a lot more negative about the mistakes. I don't need those kind of negativity in my life I deal with anxiety, depression, and tramau from my mom. So thank u for being kind about this ordeal I appreciate that a lot.
I also think I might be lesbian cause I never had any feelings for all boys that I was friends with even though I mostly had boys that were my friends growing up. I barely had girls who were my friends never could get along as easily witb girls as I do with boys gut just around my age. I mostly got along with adult women or elderly women cause I hangout with my grandma a lot around her friends growing up so they were a lot easier to become friends with for me. But I didn't get romantic feelings until my first highschool girl that was my friend who I was very close with and I knew about her a lot. I actually was oblivious to the feelings cause I never knew what it felt like to have feelings for someone before I thought back then it was just platonic love but in reality years later after when I graduated and didn't see her anymore and I learned through feeling other ppls emotions for each other romantically like my grandparents I knew what it felt like. So I found out u did have a crush on her and I was too dumb emotionally to know back then lol. I knew about lesbians and gays it not like I didn't know u could date others the same gender I just didn't know what romantic crushes felt like.
But even then I might even be bi feelings for both genders for whatever I know but just don't know yet. Still discovering that about myself I just know I did have feelings for my one girl who was my friend and I know if was romantic feelings cause I know what they feel like now.

Though I’ve always known about both my total lack of sexual attraction/desire and extreme repulsion towards the concept of sex, it’s only within the last year that I learned that asexuality was a thing myself. Of course, I like to try and help make things clear and educate where I can.
I’m sorry you have those struggles at all, they’re not fun to deal with, but especially because of your mom. I’ve always struggled with severe anxiety and I’m prone to bouts of relatively predictable depression myself (so far it’s only been triggered by grief). I do also have some trauma due to growing up with an emotionally distant dad that has a lot of his own struggles. So for the most part I understand where you’re coming from, even if they come from generally different reasons. I share my own similar experiences here because it’s one of my biggest ways to show that I hear you and I feel for you.
Sexuality and gender orientation can be confusing things. Some people, like me, have been fortunate to mostly or entirely understand where they fit without much (if any) issue, but plenty of others have more struggles there. Discovery of yourself in any form takes time, but it’s worth it. Know that I support you and wish you the best of luck on your journey.

Lilith was Adam's first wife in Jewish traditions, but got essentially 'divorced' because she refused to 'submit' to Adam. Aka she wanted to be on top when they had sex lmao
The story of Lilith is quite interesting! While the tale of Adam and Eve is an ancient semitic myth, hers is a medieval legend (with roots in ancient semitic and Mesopotamian folklore).
In antiquity Lilith was the name of a type of demons, that caused sickness and death to those who were visited by them at night. There are many incantation bowls from that time with spells to keep them at bay.
By the 10th century AD she appears as a singular figure in a jewish legend from the Alphabet of Ben Sirah: here her story is more or less how it's desctibed in Hazbin Hotel, and describes Lilith as the "mother of demons". This story also reconnects to the spells to keep her away.
This story remained very popular, and she has been alternatively paired up with Samael, the angel of darkness (who is somewhat similar to Lucifer), or Asmodeus, the king of demons (which are more close to the Fair Folk in jewish legends), but also with many more.
She is particularly often depicted as some sort of succubus.
The thing is when Adam says he’s never made a mistake. He could be telling the truth then but he makes a mistake when he accidentally in episode eight mentions the extermination because after that, he sounds very flustered because he wasn’t supposed to let that slip therefore he made a mistake
Hey Mosco! I just wanted to say a few things. First off, I love you + Elijah so much! Second, the parallels between both of you to Charlie + Vaggie is astonishing & I'm here for it & love it! Third, during this reaction video around 14:15 you mention that you feel like the "simple deal" that Alastor makes with Vaggie could be "twisted somewhere along the way & that's why you said you couldn't trust him & I agree with you 110% on the subject of whether or not to completely trust Alastor, because you know that neither his deals nor himself is ever "SIMPLE." He is quite the charismatic mastermind of making sure that there's always a sort of backdoor code or loophole in any deal that he makes.
Lilith comes from Judea mythology. Originally, God created Adam and Lilith the same way, but Lilith didn't want to submit to Adam. She became a demon who kills babies and young children, I think.
The reason God then created Eve from Adam's rib was so that women "know their place."

Vizy pop did say it's ok for ppl to ship alastor with whoever they wanted so that indicates that he can have romantic feelings for others of any gender.

As for the vaggie theory, i could also see Alastor being the one who killed the angel. He was afterall able to topple overlords that were dominant for centuries and the sped up extermination is as they stated a good possible draw for the hotel. It would also make sense with his type of humor when he said he also pulled a few limbs. Sure it could be just a funny little line, but if something flies you gotta pull it down first before you can interact or ultimately unalive it if you're not working with something ranged.

God made Adam and Lilith, both from the earth as EQUALS, so Lilith refused to submit to his will, then Eve was made from Adam's rib, she is not seen as his equal, but as a complement to his groom. So Lilith is the FIRST sinner, for disobeying God's plan, but like honestly who would like to submit to someone like Adam?, that guy is trully an AH
Adams favorite food is ribs, Eve was made from his rib. Also Adam was sent to hell when he first died, he tried to rape Lilith and ate the apple of Eden. (both of which were because of lucifer's meddling) But he ultimately tried to play the blame game instead of taking responsibility. He is also the father of Cain and Abel, the first murderer and murdered. The whole point of Jesus taking human form and dying on the cross was to save Man from the Original Sin and to save Adam (and Eve) from hell.
Ideally, when people die they have to go through the mountain of Purgatory. Only saints go strait to heaven, so purgatory is where most people go wait out their sentence for petty sins. Mt. Purgatory in a way can be seen as rehab for people not wicked enough to go to hell, but not good enough to go to heaven. The reason Christians pray immediately after someone's funeral is for God to shorten that person's sentence in Purgatory. Because Adam was saved by Jesus, he probably didn't undergo rehab which is why he's still a rock playing douche bag.

Lilith is not part of most Christian bibles, ( catholic, orthodox, Protestant, ect) but eating the apple and being a bad dad are considered the Original sins in the all 3 Abrahamic religions. I forget if Lilith is a Hebrew or Muslim belief.

She was damned because she wouldn’t submit to Adam, and was replaced as his wife by Eve, who was, by all accounts, completely submissive to Adam. It’s why guys have an even number of ribs, I guess.
The part of Lilith marrying Lucifer, and Lucifer being the serpent, were added. Though some believe Lucifer to have been the serpent in biblical canon, there is actually no place that it states this, and, given that every snake was punished, rather than every demon, it’s more likely that it was just a random snake.
In some versions of the bible, though its thought to be a translation error in some cases cause she is only mentioned once, Lilith was the first woman. People believe that because she was made from the dust, she would not submit to Adam and not do gods will so she was cast out and that's when God made Eve from Adam's rib thinking that would make her more subordinate to him. In some tales out there, Lilith became the mother of witches and Warlocks then and other beasts that were against Gods will. At least this is one of the stories that I have been told.

I love that they kept the pilot basically canon. Helluva Boss pilot is also technically canon, but there was too much repetition from the pilot in the first episode.
