Oh my god you are an angel!!! I hate my feet mainly because I had to have my big toe nails removed like yourself as a child!!!! I never thought I could ever wear pretty sandals, ever!! Im now 36 and will be giving this a go as im sick of trying to find cute summer shoes that have closed toes!

Me and my daughter mentioned that maybe they would work on my ugly big toes, but that was as far as that ever went. I hate my toes and now I am so excited to try this. Thank you so much for your tutorials. I just did my 2 big toe nails with acrylic and dual forms and they turned out so good. They look soooo real!!!! I’ve had problems with my toe nails for the last 18 years and have always hidden my feet. Someone gifted me a mani and pedi for my bday last year and I actually mustered up the courage to go and they did the acrylic toes for me but I didn’t like the turnout. They looked fake and I felt judged by the nail techs 😔 Knowing that I can now do them myself brings me so much joy. Thank you ❤️❤️ You’re awesome.

I'm happy I came across this 8 years ago since being in the hospital for so long I gotten two ingrown toenails,they hurt so bad so I got them removed. Glad u came across your videos
the beginning disclaimer is VERY important, glad u included it. it's best to be very cautious with other clients like this and make extra sure u won't harm their skin in any way, cus it's ur responsibility to keep them safe.
i'll be doing this for myself eventually as two of my fingernails have broken past the nailbed, they're healing just fine and nothing hurts anymore but i was scared to consider doing this since it'd be on some skin. thank u for the thorough tutorial ❤
It feels nice to know people who have this problem can fix it! I got both infections in my toenails and they stopped growing. Now i only have short little nubs. I tried using nails tips and acrylic but it never looked good and i was just always embarrassed. I started using polygel and im very happy. Still cant find a dual form that fits them though. I did want to ask if you could try using polygel just by itself and try to make a realistic nail shape without the form! And also could you show the nail by the side of it and see if it has that realistic curve to it?? I cant seem to make it look curved. I would love to chat and show you! Ive never been able to talk to anyone other than my mom but she doesnt have this problem its just me. I just wish i could figure out why they stopped growing.

I'm so grateful to run across your videos. I have hope of being able to wear sandals again. Both my big toes have been removed for 20 plus years. I've tried all your tips and products but I can't get them to stay on. They last about 1 day. I must be doing something wrong. I'm not giving up though. I still have faith that I can get the technique down to make them last longer. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Hi again hun thankyou for last reply, ive been trying lots of products not having any luck & all top brand products, im starting to think it could be the bondex and IBD gel bonder i need to make it work. Ive lost finger nails 6 of them completely and toe nails so you can imagine how much i REALLY appreciate you doing these vids. My skin on nail bed is soft im wondering if thats affecting it staying. Yes , you need to do these for him . Especially if he’s self conscious . You can use a more natural polygel , like clear mixed with a milky white polygel .

When you say the base gel do you mean like the base I use to put on under gel polish? I used to do acrylic toe nails on my big nails as I have the same issue. But I switched to the poly gel after watching your videos like it much better. Thank you

Hopefully you can answer this question for me, are the two led lamps really necessary ? I just seen an older video of yours and you only used one lamp . But now it’s two lamps ? If i can only use one how long should i cure it for ?
If you are using polygel or builder gel a lamp is needed ! You don’t need to use two lamps . But have a larger stronger lamp .
I only use the small lamp to flash cure because I’m doing my own toes and it was just easier . It’s kind of hard bending over .

Yes I have, thanks to you, I also use fake ones sometimes, however the problem I have is mine are all skin and some glues just don't adhere for a long period of time, any suggestions?

No , gel polish will just peel off .
If you want polish on your toe , just use regular nail polish .

Nail techs don’t want to put any product on your skin for fear of allergies . Also because of their insurance .
Also , the nails probably won’t stay long anyway . You have your hands in water a lot . Washing your hands throughout the day .

For some reason my uv light isn't curing the polygel what could be the reason , BTW its a 9w up light
The light isn’t strong enough ...or maybe your lamp is a led lamp and your polygel is uv gel .

Do you know if there Is a dual form made specifically for short nails? I notice when i use them at the length i prefer, its around where the apex of a longer nail should be and i end up having to file the surface so much.
There is no dual forms specifically for toenails . I use YS or YL dual forms . They work great and have large wide sides . I sell sets of 12 .
I never have to file the tops of the toenails after I make them , I just file the length .... I’m really not to sure what you mean about that. .
. Denisejohn65 - Nail Ed i’m sorry I wasn’t clear. I meant for short fingernails. Like for them to be thick enough to not break easily, i have to put so much poly gel in the dual form that it extends to where like the deepest point of the apex of a longer nail would be and is ridiculously thick.
No , there are no dual forms made for short little nail beds if that’s what you mean . Perhaps you should try using clear glue on tips , file the shine off the tip and then apply a base gel , then your polygel . Or try sculpting with the paper nail forms .
. Denisejohn65 - Nail Ed yeah using tips/paper forms is what I’ve had to do. I was just curious if there was an easier way with potentially a different style of dual forms I was unaware of. Thank you for your insight!

I have no toenails on my large toes . The artificial nail just falls off on their own usually . If not , I put acetone under the nail and it lifts off .
You can’t fill these when you don’t have a nail because they won’t grow out . There is no nail under it to have it move and grow out .
These products or basically most nail products are not intended for use on skin . So you are taking a risk for a possible allergy . This is why I do not do this on clients with missing toenails .
I do it on myself and show others how I do it . That way they can decide if they want to attempt this on their own .
I never had a allergic reaction, but that’s not to say that others might . You can always do a allergy test before .

These tutorials have defo changed my life! I couldn’t wear sandals in summer for years! Had my nails removed when I was 21 after years of agonising ingrown toenails! Tried false nails, only lasted a day at a time. Now I’ve found this lady I use this method and even make spare ones when going on holiday to stick on with glue! Just trying the gel base way for first time three days so far 🤞🏻😍

I wish I had known about this option forever ago!!!!! Do you ever have issues with fungus if water gets trapped underneath the polygel? I have partial nails and have gotten fungus several times when I've had tips or press-ons so I wonder if that would be a concern with this or not.
I've always bought fake toe nails and superglued them on.. It's a pain and they would fall off.. Then I tried acrylic and just couldn't get it so I got used to sandals and no toe nails now that I have found your video I am definitely trying this!! Thank you for sharing!

No , gel polish won’t stay a week on your nail bed skin . You might as well use regular nail polish. It would be a lot easier .
I don’t use gel polish to create a toenail , so I hope you’re not confusing gel polish with builder gel or poly gel.

I will! I’ve just ordered a starter kit, to practice, as I’m pretty sure the thumb nail isn’t going to grow back. It has been around 8 months and there’s been no growth, so not very hopeful. This video has been a life saver though, thanks again xx
