#1 45-54... we grew up dreaming about or ridding these sleds and are getting too old, or are too broke to ride. # 2 is probably the 24-34 group. Polaris wedges have become the antiques sitting in the woodline that can bought cheap. And, they've grown up hearing dad & his buddies talking about the good old days of snowmobiling. My buddy in Two Harbors sent me a picture from his cabin this afternoon. There is rideable snow an hour or so past McGregor area. We have 20 or so miles of logging roads/trails connected with 4 lakes to ride. And 2 work sleds with home built groomers to make our trails awesome!
This is sweeeeet, I've got an 88 indy 650 121 in my back yard that's my ditch banger sled as well as a mountain mosded 1998 700 Mountain max, love seeing other guys keeping triples alive!

55 to 64. I was in middle school when them seld came out. I got hooked on snowmobiles when my neighbor brought a 95 rxl n storm 800 n would take me out on quick little rips. Man that was fun.
I was lucky to get a triple (which I still own) when I was 14yrs old but there was not many lucky youngster like me. I am in the 35-44 group so I would say 45-54 is the highest viewership group since they were the one that had the pleasure to enjoy those crazy sleds of the 90's the most 😉
55-64 age group would be my guess for most watched. Triples were big during our haydays of riding and besides, we were the most badass! LOL. Build is looking great. Think you might need to add a torque arm on this thing. Once that turbo kicks in and the track bites that motor may twist more than you think. Want to keep those clutches aligned!

Hey Todd. Happy new year. I'm guessing 54-64 years old. It may be a little too late now, but check out Nutter's first video about Paul Groth's five cylinder radial engine build. Mr. Groth made a buck that he pressed into a piece of stainless tubing to make the tips for the exhaust box. I thought that a similar piece would work for your round into square piece for the turbo inlet. It may be a bit of work to make the buck, but it may have saved you some welding time. Awesome build on Jason. Thanks for the great videos!

Awesome video and great progress but it’s already sexy and love that exhaust port ! At 54 with 2 sons either side of 30 I’m gonna go with the first group. My oldest son picked up an Ultra wedge and showed me. No more than 2 sentences in and he finished my sentence with your name !! I always had the triples when they were young and they had SS or lite deluxe etc but seeing it come back around full circle … made my dad Polaris heart smile ! nice to see the factory square stamped muffler mount being used to mount trash can, polaris mount the fuel pump directly on the bulkhead which i found the fuel pump would ice up at colder below temp riding, eventually polaris begin mounting fuel pump to air box or like the ultras up high away from the track throwing cold snow to bulkhead.
I like playing with two strokes i really get into port case and pipe flow on my flow bench and porting cylinders cases and design pipes for said port work
Make sure you put a rubber insulator on the relay so vibration doesn't affect the points (bouncing) due to vibration, also make sure your tank vent is large enough to supply enough return air to the tank due to additional fuel needed under boost,the last thing you need to worry about is fuel starvation when under boost (maybe a second factory vent for the tank)

Have you thought about not letting it suck warm air from under the hood and maybe attach a snorkel to it instead? Seems to be the way most people wanna do it. I am not sue if you have mentioned it in a previous video. I see you have thoughts about your airbox. Is it possible to put preassure guages before all three carbs and see that they get the same preassure? It’s probably critical for the engine to run smooth. Good luck and cheers i guess🍺🍺
What age group , 12 till you die. I’ll be 76 in February and been riding since 1971. It’s not as fun now days with all this expensive tech sleds but I still have it in my heart to ride. Buy the way , I still think painting the fins on the front side of the heads would look good. Love your channel!!! Three in a row makes them go ! My first triple was a 1974 TX 500 Limited Free Air.

Where is the waste gate and blow off valve is the waste gate the aluminum diaphragm looking canister bolted to the brake tower if so what brand turbo and waste gate is that as well as blow off valve
35-44, second guess is the 25-34 but I’m guessing 35-44 because of the old muscle head triple ice and grass racers that came from that time. My brother in law is one of them 😂👍🏻 I’m 33 and enjoy it
The air filter on the turbo will be way too restrictive and will be pulling in warm under hood air. That will make it run inconsistent and harder to tune. I would pipe it up so the turbo can get outside air and unless you are running the sled in deep powder you don't really even need a filter. Ther newer aerocharger kits just had a steel screen for a filter and it worked well.
@@toddclyne3493 Ok, that will work way better with the filter out of the hood. Turbo's hate any restriction before the compressor wheel, even its just a little bit. If that's a foam air filter it's not going to like it. You want something you can see through.
Okay how do you keep from blowing raw fuel out the exhaust? Knowing that the exhaust ports are first open last to close how do you increase compression in that situation?
About the age group, I bought an 1989 Indy 650 brand new as I was in my early 30's then. So I'm over the age of 64 and kind of sad my age group wasn't even mentioned.
@@toddclyne3493 Oh I still do! But sure wish I had my 650 still. I had it piped and put on EGT gages. I had that sled set up just perfect, I liked the graphics on the 89 Indy 650's.

Track i took the two up and rack off it made a seat out the foam in the 2 up and covered it i also retired the suzuki or should i say Subaru efi system i wish i never got rid of that sled it was very nasty once i got the mega squirt standalone done dam thing needed more fuel then i wanted to feed it tbt i couldnt belive sc that 2 stroke 650 wantd 60lb injectors it was crazy i will say the guy i sold it to was supposedly john force on a sled from what town folk say he stop me last year asking if i would build him another after t bone a tree when he lost it last year
