You condemn the whole cause and reason for protesting without looking at it from the view of those still facing racism and oppression. During the 1960's and before that the peaceful movement for equality was met with violence. More black Americans were lynched in the 1930's than the previous decades combined. The oppression wasn't peaceful and there is still oppression, but while burning crosses and setting places on fire when standing up to your oppressors of 200+ years it's hard to expect frustrations not to boil over. I agree it isn't right to smash windows and graffiti innocent business owners and vehicles, but if you don't stand up to a bully they keep bullying. I’ve known someone this actually happened to as well and he got his attorney to petition the court for a paternity test (that he of course had to pay for) luckily his daughter was his so he fought for joint custody and was it granted. I know state laws are different in every state but I don’t see how a lawyer couldn’t fight this in court. Especially if the child is proven not to be his and that the mother lied to him to make him pay child support. That just doesn’t sound legal

The Uber driver was not in the wrong for anyone confused. The passengers were in possession of alcohol, which as a passenger, it is against Uber's policy, as well as probably being illegal.

Here's the thing: racism is not a one way street. Anyone can be racist to any other race, and it's never ok. Something I've started to learn is that I often can't take sides on stuff like this, because that would be overlooking the bad in both.
Taking on a fatherly role, fortunately is not grounds to force someone to pay child support. And not being a biological father of said child, there is no legal grounds left to continue garnishing someone's income for a child that isn't his/hers.
The thing is that if he's already paying child support than a paternity test won't do anything. Even if he isn't the father he still acted as the father therefore legally making him the father. If he was married and took care of the kid for 5 years he's gotta pay child support... the legal system is fucked I know
@@apolloandwarrior_3229 If it comes out that he's not the father, he has no actual claim to that child. It depends on a state by state basis, but most require some sort of legal grounds establishing actual parenthood, be that being the biological parent, or an adoptive parent.

Because there’s a benefit to being a victim in this day and age. It’s like social currency. That’s why I despise things like CRT. Yes we should talk about racism of the past. However, CRT teaches a view that your skin color determines your fate. It’s almost like those cultures where what your ancestors did determines your whole life. A teacher at the current high school I go to got “fired” from their old school (they were principal there) for looking at boys when they were changing in the stalls. Now they work as a teacher at our school because it’s a private school so we need any teachers we can get. The school system is so crappy is makes me mad sometimes.
That story and the hearing aid one tell me teachers have no business teaching kids sex and gender issues. Especially when they keep it from the parents! I’ve known someone this actually happened to as well and he got his attorney to petition the court for a paternity test (that he of course had to pay for) luckily his daughter was his so he fought for joint custody and was it granted. I know state laws are different in every state but I don’t see how a lawyer couldn’t fight this in court. Especially if the child is proven not to be his and that the mother lied to him to make him pay child support. That just doesn’t sound legal

The Uber driver was not in the wrong for anyone confused. The passengers were in possession of alcohol, which as a passenger, it is against Uber's policy, as well as probably being illegal.

Here's the thing: racism is not a one way street. Anyone can be racist to any other race, and it's never ok. Something I've started to learn is that I often can't take sides on stuff like this, because that would be overlooking the bad in both.
Taking on a fatherly role, fortunately is not grounds to force someone to pay child support. And not being a biological father of said child, there is no legal grounds left to continue garnishing someone's income for a child that isn't his/hers.
The thing is that if he's already paying child support than a paternity test won't do anything. Even if he isn't the father he still acted as the father therefore legally making him the father. If he was married and took care of the kid for 5 years he's gotta pay child support... the legal system is fucked I know

About “seeing something in her eyes” - I would recommend the book “The Gift of Fear”, it gives an interesting insight on why this “unexplainable feeling that something is wrong about this person” happens, and why you shouldn’t underestimate it. If you ever get a similar hunch about anyone you see irl, just get outta there, no questions asked. Our brain has an ability to notice small things and put the bigger picture together completely under our consciousness’s radar, so in the end we “cannot rationally explain” why someone gives us the creeps, but it doesn’t mean this feeling is to be disregarded just because it “isn’t rational”. It’s irrational for a reason: processing it unconsciously buys us precious time to react to the situation faster, improving chances of survival. It was mainly relevant in primal times of course, but nowadays still comes in handy if we find ourselves in a situation of facing a real danger to our life.

A teacher at the current high school I go to got “fired” from their old school (they were principal there) for looking at boys when they were changing in the stalls. Now they work as a teacher at our school because it’s a private school so we need any teachers we can get. The school system is so crappy is makes me mad sometimes.
That story and the hearing aid one tell me teachers have no business teaching kids sex and gender issues. Especially when they keep it from the parents! The fact that so many teachers are so adamant against the bill in Florida that states they cannot teach such things to kids from K-3rd grade is just flat out disturbing. Pay attention to kids folks!
