I love this expert. His voice and explanation is so calming.
Entertaining to see someone with a professional level rather than "wow, that is really really cool"
Well he's the director of NGC
@@sovereign1016 I would love to meet him to be honest, I love collecting error coins, been doing it for a few years.
Hes cool but Finneas and Rebecca are my two favorites
Hopefully the guy who's offering $2000, doesn't watch this pawnstar episode.
Or he watches it AFTER he pays the seller.
Was thinkin that too..😂😂
Fr 😂😂😂
I just watched this episode and i realized i was scammed.
😀😂😀
That expert says its "neither a coin, nor American", but the video title is "1791 American Coin".
lol
He even called it a coin at the end. Guess it's just simpler than saying "advertising and marketing tool"
That man's whole world came crashing down when he was told the valuation of the coin
Talk about living in the past. I got a offer out there I was giving 20 yrs ago 😂
So we're all in agreement that we need to stay in, wash our hands, and Carol killed her husband & fed him to tigers, right?
🤣🤣
Yep
Yes but I'm not mad at her. Guy was in his 40's, preying on a 19 year old girl while being married and having kids 🤷🏽♂️
You're trying to hard bro
some of us have to work.
I'm the guy that offered him 2k. Now it's $501. Thanks Rick.
$502
505.50 now
$520 now
Ok mustache
Don’t even lie you and him have diffrent names
I hate when I see the sellers so happy then they drop a huge price drop and look suicidal
When he picked up the coin and started walking out he looked like Dwight Schrute after getting Jim’s magic beans
Repost with New title?
Whatever ill take what i can get in these boring times
I knew i seen some of these b4
This guy was a genuinely nice person with a borderline social disorder of some kind could tell in the quick interview they have with him at the end his slight tick and genuine unsureness of his next move after the offer was a lot different to what he was expecting.
Big love 2 u sir good for u for getting on tv and presenting yourself so well that would have been quite a special and nervous time for him all at once💜
birmingham , england. you can't escape us brits
Thank god he walked away. I'll give you a grand just to own a piece of history
In situations like this, I always think "huh so he's willingly going to see if he can still rip off the other person who made a bad offer"
Perhaps or the other guy is a collector and isn't buying it to flip it
You're telling me you wouldn't do the same?
@@adambill8706not when it's to the point I would call it a scam
1:18 that blonde in the background 😏
Happy Meal and a rub n tug!
No, just no
An offer on the table, from 20 years ago😁
"I still have that $2000 offer on the table that was made *20 years ago* "
"Hang around look...maybe u can spend some of your mon...LINE!!!!!"
4:14 That Blonde Girl 😃
"It's worth from nothing to who knows how much" which applies to pretty much any and everything 😮
Rick: Does it cost a Million dollar?
Inspector: No.
Rick: Bwahahahahahah.
Rick: so how much does it cost?
Inspector: this coin falls around 750-800$.
seller: awhhhh.
when I hear "I don't think i'll take any less than that" I know for sure they will take less than that or the offer will be less than that...
pawn stars has turned into " I have no idea, let me get my buddy down here, he'll know everything there is to know"
Thats okay I’d rather hear from the expert than them
And that buddy of his will come up with a fifty percent decrease amount from the asking price.(sic),too predictable.
Yeah they're just pawn brokers, what'd expect?
Waheyyy 👋👋👋
Greetings from Birmingham, England 😂
The buyer once he sees this episode....also in the Rocks voice from Faster "The price just went down.."
Those coins are so undervalued
“Hey can you come over look at this item and say it’s worth half than what it’s actually worth” Rick
Rick: best I can do is one cent, and I’m taking a risk here.
lol
Seller seems like a really nice guy and i guess that's why rick offer a high price
somebody call 911 ...
Rick - All i can call is 91...
0:40 “I wouldn’t take any less than $2,200”
1:08 “I’m looking to get $2,000”
Coin is almost 230 yrs old... and in excellent condition... coin dude: meh... it’s ok.
Fr I would've payed 2k for it
Wow Rick actually made a fair deal for once?!!!!
A guy offered me 10 million for it...I turned him down so i could bring it here.
- Every guy in the shop
I swear that I always learn something from Pawn Stars, I never new that a cent was a percent of a dollar... that makes perfect sense...
That should have been taught to you as a kid.
@@Thedrunkape96 You should have been taught that what I said is a joke 🤦🏻
I apologize. I get that you were just joking now. Sorry about that.
Who knew so many cute girls that love short shorts are so attracted to pawn shops!!🤣🤣🤣
What a coincidence huh
Or perhaps the producers of the show round them up and have them walk around in the background to create interest?
Dope. He got that offer 20 years ago!
The seller is a actor. He worked in this show in various oportunities.
Hella old school .
I like this expert, he is not the type of guy I would mockingly and condescendingly put in quotation marks around the word "expert" in association with his name like I would Steve Grad who bases his whole career with pride off of "Yep, we got live ink..." PFFFTTTT! You can tell this guy knows every bit of what he is talking about, cool calm and collected and confident in his estimations.
Ten thousand years
Ever notice how they always ask what you are price you are asking for before they call the expert. Then the expert almost always under cuts the asking price.
Seller looks like Theodore Roosevelt
i like him how he explain the item..second to Rebecca.
You should know how much your items are worth if anyone ever makes you an offer it would be the easiest and fastest sale you'll ever do. That 2k 20 years ago would be worth so much more invested than it could ever appreciate in value
I have an 1893-S Morgan Silver Dollar, only 100,000 made and one of the most desirable of the whole Morgan Series
Rick: *Sigh* They made 100,000 of these, so it’s not rare. Morgan’s are really collectible, so that drives the value down since everyone has them. Best I can do is silver spot price. Cash money right now
Seller : "I like to sell this penny"
Rick: *NO*
We get it sound editor. You like royalty-free music
Seller leaves the shop and Rick’s phone rings.
Rick: Hello
Seller: Hi. This is Daniel. It’s been about 20 years since we talked but you were offering $2000 for a 1791 cent that I have. Wanted to know if you’re still interested...
Daniel should have soaked that coin in a rust remover.
He'll be back
I wish Pawn Stars would start respecting this expert more and use his full name with titles..
David Vagi NA MD
Canada used to make pennies as well
My car was worth $20,000 20 years ago, now the junkyard wants to give me $150 for it.
Get ahold of that other guy before this episode airs. lol
Ten years
You think that one was in bad condition, you should have seen the one i dug out the ground LOL
Some Say that 2,000 dollar offer Wasn’t there Anymore...
*Rick:* Your priceless 1 cent piece is worth somewhere between nothing and God knows how much. So I’ll pay you nothing, and just remember that I’m the one taking on all the risk here
The way they say Birmingham 🤣
Old school
3:22 Rick Harrison secretly had COVID-19 all along.
“I won’t take any less than 2,200”
*asks 2,000*
Isn't Las Vegas under lockdown ?
How old are these episodes..
I believe the British call it a 'pence'.
Hey Rick..have you ever figure out that you are look like a Michael Kiske😂
Seller looks a little like dennis raider
Most used phrase " i have a buddy"
There is always a nice looking woman in the background.
Hopefully you're honest with that individual about what it's worth.
Ive seen this before..
**History Channel: 1791 American Coin **Expert: this is neither American or a Coin
The appraiser has started talking. I'm thinking $50k.
Way off. It precedes the US mint and it isn't rare??? Only $800??
Man who's still around... yeah, okay.
involuntary non-sip ad companies are going to pay as these commercials will be blocked, ignored, and companies boycotted AND the end of UA-cam. That is all.
Oi oi, big up yah yah the birminum crew, road man wahgwan, represent, still go pass this daily into town fam!! Where's my Erdington Gs at?
I don't really talk that, I'm from Sutton Coldfield Birmingham England darlings haha
The appraiser is a fake?
I'll give you 100 dollars and not a penny more. No thanks I'm going to stick with my 1 million dollar asking price.
I gotta lower the overall value by half because I need to frame it - Rick
I would love to have it.
I have one
@@watergoddtv3801 I live in Virginia so every time I metal detect this cent comes to mind. Lol.
An offer made 20 years ago is still on the table?
Low ballers... That's the name of the game
Pawn shops AKA low balls offers
How many times do I have to explain this. It's a pawn shop, the whole purpose is to have a one-stop place that deals in just about everything and gives you really quick money. You don't have to go out and sell the item directly to another individual, so by selling it to a pawn shop you sacrifice some of your profits in favor for quicker cash. Pawn shops go out of business all the time because it's a risky thing to run, and if they all started paying 80% or more of the value of an item, they'd all be out of business
@@oldaccounttwo9794 Lol, wow you actually took the time to give a whole explanation. Much respect to you, I apologize.
If I ever go in this god forsaken place and he asks me do I know what I want for my item I am not saying because it’s so coincidental how the “expert” always comes right under what the person wants typically
The 2000 dollar offer lie tactic didn't work. No one offers 2000 without research. He was hoping the counter offer would be close to it
Dunno why but the way Americans say Birmingham is soo strange ahahaha, no hate by the way lo.
I would offer two million Zimbabwean dollars
The seller is thick it clearly says Cent on it.
I’ll give you 5 cents
I have a I phone used by Elbert Einstein
Definition of a creepy dude: mustache, tucked in short sleeved shirt, cargo shorts
He looked quite nice tbh
No way worth more
i have a one cent penny 1954 liberty. how much of this ?
So now that you know it's worth a max of $800, you are going to go see if you can get an old friend to give you $2000. Cool
I had a friend who was really drunk at the time offer me 1 million dollars for it 50 years ago and I plan to hold him to that offer.
Imagine thinking someone 20 YEARS AGO would still be offering the same on that coin. This is why BOOMERS need to just STOP they think everything is like it was pre 2k
maybe its his wifes cousin or something, and they never talk but he assumes the guy is still alive. zoomers need to stop assuming everybody's lives.
Fake! I've seen ones in worse condition sell for more, one in that condition is worth about 2k, and as a coin collecter I would happily pay the 2k
He ripped the guy off.
0:24 so we made sense...
Ok boomer
1 mile = 1609.344 meter
1 gallon = 3.785 litre
1 pound= 453.592 gram
2000 dollar offer from 20 years ago, he would be lucky if that offer is still good.
He will be lucky if that person is still around anymore.
@@survivalhorrorman What's funny is he got it appraised for 750 right? Now he's going to inflate the price and ask 2000.
@@mastakaos89 Would be funny if the guy he wants to sell it too saw this episode first.
