Rick: Does it cost a Million dollar? Inspector: No. Rick: Bwahahahahahah. Rick: so how much does it cost? Inspector: this coin falls around 750-800$. seller: awhhhh.
This guy was a genuinely nice person with a borderline social disorder of some kind could tell in the quick interview they have with him at the end his slight tick and genuine unsureness of his next move after the offer was a lot different to what he was expecting. Big love 2 u sir good for u for getting on tv and presenting yourself so well that would have been quite a special and nervous time for him all at once💜
I have an 1893-S Morgan Silver Dollar, only 100,000 made and one of the most desirable of the whole Morgan Series Rick: *Sigh* They made 100,000 of these, so it’s not rare. Morgan’s are really collectible, so that drives the value down since everyone has them. Best I can do is silver spot price. Cash money right now
Seller leaves the shop and Rick’s phone rings. Rick: Hello Seller: Hi. This is Daniel. It’s been about 20 years since we talked but you were offering $2000 for a 1791 cent that I have. Wanted to know if you’re still interested...
Ever notice how they always ask what you are price you are asking for before they call the expert. Then the expert almost always under cuts the asking price.
You should know how much your items are worth if anyone ever makes you an offer it would be the easiest and fastest sale you'll ever do. That 2k 20 years ago would be worth so much more invested than it could ever appreciate in value
*Rick:* Your priceless 1 cent piece is worth somewhere between nothing and God knows how much. So I’ll pay you nothing, and just remember that I’m the one taking on all the risk here
I like this expert, he is not the type of guy I would mockingly and condescendingly put in quotation marks around the word "expert" in association with his name like I would Steve Grad who bases his whole career with pride off of "Yep, we got live ink..." PFFFTTTT! You can tell this guy knows every bit of what he is talking about, cool calm and collected and confident in his estimations.
How many times do I have to explain this. It's a pawn shop, the whole purpose is to have a one-stop place that deals in just about everything and gives you really quick money. You don't have to go out and sell the item directly to another individual, so by selling it to a pawn shop you sacrifice some of your profits in favor for quicker cash. Pawn shops go out of business all the time because it's a risky thing to run, and if they all started paying 80% or more of the value of an item, they'd all be out of business
lies .. there is only one barrel of them so say 20,000 coins maybe 50,000 coins tops out of all the other coins they get printed out in millions and how many of those 1791 coins are still around something like that is worth whatever you can sell it for or buy it for but that 750$ is just too cheap
Not necessarily. I'm a coin collector and I can tell you that coins can become that cheap even in low mintage. Mainly because the market for them isn't that large. Price is all based on the size of the market, and the demand, and there isn't much demand for this coin.
Imagine thinking someone 20 YEARS AGO would still be offering the same on that coin. This is why BOOMERS need to just STOP they think everything is like it was pre 2k
involuntary non-sip ad companies are going to pay as these commercials will be blocked, ignored, and companies boycotted AND the end of UA-cam. That is all.
Watch all new episodes of Pawn Stars starting May 11th, and stay up to date on all of your favorite History Channel shows at history.com/schedule.
I love this expert. His voice and explanation is so calming.
Entertaining to see someone with a professional level rather than "wow, that is really really cool"
Well he's the director of NGC
@@sovereign1016 I would love to meet him to be honest, I love collecting error coins, been doing it for a few years.
Hes cool but Finneas and Rebecca are my two favorites
Hopefully the guy who's offering $2000, doesn't watch this pawnstar episode.
Or he watches it AFTER he pays the seller.
Was thinkin that too..😂😂
Fr 😂😂😂
I just watched this episode and i realized i was scammed.
😀😂😀
That expert says its "neither a coin, nor American", but the video title is "1791 American Coin".
lol
He even called it a coin at the end. Guess it's just simpler than saying "advertising and marketing tool"
That man's whole world came crashing down when he was told the valuation of the coin
birmingham , england. you can't escape us brits
When he picked up the coin and started walking out he looked like Dwight Schrute after getting Jim’s magic beans
I hate when I see the sellers so happy then they drop a huge price drop and look suicidal
So we're all in agreement that we need to stay in, wash our hands, and Carol killed her husband & fed him to tigers, right?
🤣🤣
Yep
Yes but I'm not mad at her. Guy was in his 40's, preying on a 19 year old girl while being married and having kids 🤷🏽♂️
some of us have to work.
And inject ourselves with Lysol
"I still have that $2000 offer on the table that was made *20 years ago* "
Thank god he walked away. I'll give you a grand just to own a piece of history
In situations like this, I always think "huh so he's willingly going to see if he can still rip off the other person who made a bad offer"
Perhaps or the other guy is a collector and isn't buying it to flip it
You're telling me you wouldn't do the same?
@@adambill8706not when it's to the point I would call it a scam
Talk about living in the past. I got a offer out there I was giving 20 yrs ago 😂
Repost with New title?
Whatever ill take what i can get in these boring times
I knew i seen some of these b4
Rick: Does it cost a Million dollar?
Inspector: No.
Rick: Bwahahahahahah.
Rick: so how much does it cost?
Inspector: this coin falls around 750-800$.
seller: awhhhh.
pawn stars has turned into " I have no idea, let me get my buddy down here, he'll know everything there is to know"
Thats okay I’d rather hear from the expert than them
And that buddy of his will come up with a fifty percent decrease amount from the asking price.(sic),too predictable.
Yeah they're just pawn brokers, what'd expect?
I'm the guy that offered him 2k. Now it's $501. Thanks Rick.
$502
505.50 now
$520 now
Ok mustache
Don’t even lie you and him have diffrent names

Coin is almost 230 yrs old... and in excellent condition... coin dude: meh... it’s ok.
Fr I would've payed 2k for it
when I hear "I don't think i'll take any less than that" I know for sure they will take less than that or the offer will be less than that...
I swear that I always learn something from Pawn Stars, I never new that a cent was a percent of a dollar... that makes perfect sense...
That should have been taught to you as a kid.
@@Johnmhatheist You should have been taught that what I said is a joke 🤦🏻
I apologize. I get that you were just joking now. Sorry about that.
The buyer once he sees this episode....also in the Rocks voice from Faster "The price just went down.."

4:14 That Blonde Girl 😃
An offer on the table, from 20 years ago😁
Who knew so many cute girls that love short shorts are so attracted to pawn shops!!🤣🤣🤣
What a coincidence huh
Or perhaps the producers of the show round them up and have them walk around in the background to create interest?
Those coins are so undervalued

Rick: *NO*
A guy offered me 10 million for it...I turned him down so i could bring it here.
