The Perfect Wheel Specs for 10th Gen Civic Si | Summer Wheel install 2018 Honda Civic Si

- I put my summer wheel and tire setup back on the civic and it looks so damn good! If you want to run a nice flush fitment for your 10th gen these are the specs you'll need:
Wheels are 18x8.5 +35
Tires are 245/40/18
If you want to avoid rubbing I would recommend a 245/35/18 or 235/40/18 tire.

I played this video and my dog immediately came up to me and looked very worried and started making weird noises 😭 It was very strange. but great video !
Oh no 😂 maybe he liked it?? Thanks for the love man I appreciate you
@@kylepalaian no problem ! I’m assuming it was because of the beginning of the video where your dog was making some noises lol
@@juanparedes4825 lol I sure hope so
I run 255 on a 18x9.5 wheel. No rubbing and lowered(no stupid camber) think when my tires are said and done I’m gonna try and go up to a 265
Damn! That’s impressive! I rub whenever I hit even the most moderate bumps 😂 and my setup is not nearly that aggressive
I can't decide what size to run for tires! I have an 19 coupe I'm going with 18x8.5 I'm on stock suspension. However I do plan on D2 or eibach springs. I can't decide how it will look with 235/40/18.
Well if you want a more “meaty” setup the thicker sidewall will do that for ya! I will warn you though with the taller sidewall (245/40/18 tire size) and d2 racing springs, I rub and scrape even after I bent the little fender clips
@@kylepalaian I'm on 245/40/18s re-did my alignment and you're right I rub and scrape too on coilovers. I'm going to have to raise it a bit. Only the fronts are rubbing and scraping the rears are fine. What do you recommend raising it too to prevent scrubbing right now i'm 2" all over. I notice D2 Springs are 1.7"F and 1.9"R. Do you think a 1.5"F and 1.7"R would be more optimal to prevent rubbing and scraping.
@@Sonders47 yeah that sounds about right! I’m not on coils so you might have to experiment a bit, but that SHOULD get you in the right ballpark
If my tires are 235/40/18 should I go for the 8” or 8.5” width mags??
I’m running 8.5” for reference. If you want a more “bulging” kinda look go with the 8” but if you like they way mine look go for the 8.5”
I am think to go 225-45-18 with the stock height, i'm hoping not to have any rubbing
If you’re at stock height you should have more than enough room with that setup :)
exact lowering springs you got? fitment is clean af
Thank you man I appreciate that! And of course, they’re the D2 racing lowering springs for 10th gen civic si. Here’s the link

@@kylepalaianhey man how does the car ride with those springs? Is it worse than stock? They are so much cheaper than coil overs which is why I want them 😂
@@coIey 😂 it’s funny you bring that up because I’m about to replace them with the eibach springs. The first 6 months they rode just fine, now, 2 years after installing them, they are completely worn out and it rides like crap
where did you get those black side marker lights?
If I remember correctly they’re from unity performance :)
@@kylepalaian appreciate it love the car bro
@@KordCA thanks man I appreciate you
What coils is it on ? How many inch drop you lower it to ?
I’m just on the D2 racing lowering springs, they claim a 2” drop in ride height
Do you have Spacers on the car ?
Nope, Im just running the wheels and lowering springs. Wheel specs are 18x8.5 +35
@@kylepalaian Thanks Boss For The Response I Want My wheels To Kind Of Poke Out Like Those
@@GoodFella56. yeah man I love this setup I think it’s perfect
@@kylepalaian Facts it is and i love the Silver on there too i wrapped mine in purple its a smooth car i like the 10th gen alot
are you on springs or coils?
I’m on the d2 racing springs. They’re great until they wear out like mine did 😂 my car rides like ass but it looks cool so 🤷♂️
@@kylepalaian nice, i was thinking abt getting springs for now but im looking at bc coilovers so i dont have to worry abt upgrading later on
@@nickbaron9986 yeah that’s probably a good idea, I wish I would’ve gone with a set of coilovers
Would this setup look good on a stock Accord..?
@@joeypatton7393 to be honest I’m not sure, my best advice is to to fitment industries website and look at the gallery and see what others are running!
did you lower your car bro?
Yeah its on the D2 Racing lowering springs! They say it lowers the car about 2 inches front and rear
thanks@@kylepalaian
Any issues with your Civic yet?
Nothing! It’s been absolutely fantastic
@@kylepalaian what did you get to stop your drone again?
Hey so you got no check engine light when you got the catted downpipe?
@@LynnDisclose oh it still drones 😂 going 80 or faster it’s really loud
@@LynnDisclose no, I still have the check engine light. It’s annoying but I plan on tuning it this summer
