    I have no idea how I missed this video, but watched it now,...very informative. if you still have the same set up and have suffered from heat soak (especially in the Oz climate), maybe something like a Graham Goode Racing Cold Air Intake Scoop, in conjunction with a Velossa Tech big mouth ram air kit would be of benefit?

      Thanks for the tip and for watching. Honestly I just wouldn't buy another intake duento cost. I keep looking for an easy material to work with to make a shield out of and have a fog light duct also. I'll see how it pans out lol.

    Very nice sound. I’m going to get the r sport filter along with the puma speed 2R package, installation should be similar and I’m hoping sound will be too

      Thanks. The intake kits seem to be very very similar.

    Do you know the filter size dimensions of the new open filter?? I'm trying to figure out the dry charger size

      I don't sorry and won't be with the car for a few days.

    Decent sound on it 👍 I like the way it's mounted also. I have an ITG that is a pain to get on and off. I suppose ITG doesn't need a heat shield though. What's your plan on a heat shield?

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  4 роки тому

      Thanks Dave. I haven't got a real plan yet. I am yet to find a decent thin material that a basic like me could work with lol.

      @@fordyford Revo heat shield may give you ideas on how to fabricate your own. Bit of a ballache though and will it actually work is another question. I'm not convinced it would be noticeable

      Gareth Kidman commented on some Facebook posts and showed some heat soak graphs with the itg and this style. This style seems to suffer a bit. If I could find thin flexible fibreglass sheet or something similar I could try an idea I have. I also would buy a new fog ligh surround and mod that too.

    Any heat soak issues??

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  3 роки тому

      I did a little on track but that was with a stock intercooler. A couple of cool down laps mid session helped. Didn't show any heat soak with the aftermarket cooler but would likely benefit from a fresh air feed.

    What exhaust do you have on the car?

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  4 роки тому

      A standard turbo back in this video. I have upgraded to a Whoosh Motorsports downpipe with sports cat. Still have the standard cat back.
