This is what I have from when I did my home depot run, some of the items are "generic" as I pieced it together when there 5 Gallon Bucket 2x8x10 Pressure Treated 4 bolts (1/2" x 6") 8 nuts (1/2") 8 washers (1/2") 2" x 2 foot long pvc sleeve 2 bags of fence post concrete 1.5" rigid conduit Flanges for topper (to conduit and to emt) 4 Bolts (1/4" x 1.5" 4 Nuts (1/4") 8 Washers (1/4”) Reducers for flange to topper pole Bolt/nut to lock in pole to sleeve
Lifting up the pipe with the topper, then ladder to hang the strips, at the bottom they are attached with bungee balls and I ended up adding screws with a washer to keep everything spaced out
How did you wire up the strings. Did you do one long chain, split them to 8 chains, do 16 individual lines, or some other combination. Is your controller at the tree or do you run it to a central location? If it is a central location how long is your run? I built one last year and I am trying to improve my design, totally using a lot of your construction ideas. Fantastic video!
I have it wired as 8 ports, 100 up and 100 down and then another port for the star. Controller is a K8 plus smart receiver that is specific to the tree and mounted to the pole
how did the 3d printed star hold up? I have thought about doing the 3d printed start but figured it wouldnt hold up to the elements. What type of filament did you use. thanks
Worked out fine, held up to the wind storms and winter weather. It's printed in PETG, I've sold a few and know others that have used it and the only one I know that broke was when a full 20 megatree fell over
Hi was these 12v or 5v pixels ? did you use a dig quad on these and how many power injections and how many power supplies did you use and what amp power supply .
12v with no power injection running at 70% brightness for testing. Running a k8 now but I did test all the LEDs with a quad previously and it worked. All running on one 29 amp power supply
Nice build. Definitely going to copy some of your ideas. Thank you for sharing.
Is there a parts list available? Love the design!

5 Gallon Bucket
2x8x10 Pressure Treated
4 bolts (1/2" x 6")
8 nuts (1/2")
8 washers (1/2")
2" x 2 foot long pvc sleeve
2 bags of fence post concrete
1.5" rigid conduit
Flanges for topper (to conduit and to emt)
4 Bolts (1/4" x 1.5"
4 Nuts (1/4")
8 Washers (1/4”)
Reducers for flange to topper pole
Bolt/nut to lock in pole to sleeve
Do you have a link for the sliver reducer?
Are those 80# bags of concrete?
I think they were
Question ! What is your Mega tree base diameter please? I'm using your plans to build my tree.
@@mharris7340 about 3 and a half feet
Is the star made from Delrin?
3d printed using PETG
How you are you attaching the strips at the bottom and are you just muscling up the pipe with everything on the topper then attaching the bottoms?
Lifting up the pipe with the topper, then ladder to hang the strips, at the bottom they are attached with bungee balls and I ended up adding screws with a washer to keep everything spaced out
How did you string the star pixels?
Uses the standard xLights star model
Great video. What was the height on your main pole?
I think I cut off about 14 inches off so it comes to 8 feet 10 inches. I put up the full 10 foot pole first then measured to see how much to cut

What's the diameter of the tree and how many pixels per string?
At the bottom about 40 inches, 16 strings of 100 pixels at 1 inch spacing
I wonder where you got the concrete in the 5gallon bucket idea. LOL
A long list of great people that started with you!

@@justinzdesign great job and thanks for getting back to me on this .
Did you end up using any guy wires?
I didn’t as it was close to the house, new location this year but I think I’m still gonna risk it without them
Great Job! What controller are you using? How much do you think you have into it. I want to build one.
Running off a kulp k8 plus a smart receiver. Probably close to $1000 when adding up all the bits and pieces
What size J bolts?
Got the ones from YPS with the topper: yourpixelstore.com/product/j-bolts-1-4-20-x-2-5-16-pack-of-16/
