- Two years later, does the Citizen Tsuyosa still hold its own against the iconic Tissot PRX? In this video, I dive into my year-long experience with the Tsuyosa, exploring its bold design, integrated bracelet, and reliable Caliber 8210 movement. How does it stack up against the PRX's polished appeal and Powermatic 80? From wearability to value, I break down the highs and lows of this hidden gem. Whether you're a watch collector or just love integrated designs, this comparison is for you. Watch till the end, and let me know-are you Team PRX or Team Tsuyosa?

I was torn between this (the version without the bubble) and an Eco-Drive. I'm sure the latter is more convenient, but there's something fascinating about having a mechanical watch, so I went with this.
You have made the right choice, trust me :) Enjoy your watch and i hope it wont be your last.
I love my PRX but for $250, I snagged a yellow tsuyosa from Jomashop. Idk any automatic watch that you can get at that price point. Phenomenal value
Love the yellow dial version, i considered it also but i settled for the white one, i guess it was safer option for me
I'd take the Tsuyosa over the PRX every day of the week. Far better watch.
I agree, it doesn't look like a watch that is half the price of the PRX
Bought the gradient teal one for the price I may get the red and black one too
@@timepieceofartprx also has plastic parts in its movement
I have a tsuyosa and 2 PRX in 35 and 40 powermatic. Tsuyosa is very comfortable, reliable and a lot cheaper. PRX is best watch in its price range in my opinion
I love the PRX also, but lately I wear the Tauyosa more😀 How do you find the 35mm prx, i assume you have bigger wrists size since you wear 40 mm watches.
@ i got the 35, because i wanted a “gold” watch and i think smaller ones look much classier. It was the best choice and im very impressed with how it wears. Otherwise my 40mm is the ice blue and so for its very solid. Been swimming in pools and the sea all summer with it and doing lots of other activities
Nice color choices, enjoy your watches !
i just bought my citizen automatic one , just like the video, it's convenient cheap to value, nice, precise and wonderful
Maybe the last reasonably priced japanes watch, great overall watch. Enjoy it
I have ít with the red dial and its gorgeous :)
Great choice, i haven't seen one in real life to be honest😀
The citizen has the more serviceable movement, without plastic parts
Just a clarification, you said “hack feature” in your specs frame. But the 8210 doesn’t have hacking, if yours has hacking then it’s the 8215 marked as an 8210 (something citizen had to do for a bit due to a production bottleneck.
Thank you for the clarification, i really appreciate it.
I have signed 8210 on the bottom and also on the rotor, but it has hacking and handwinding. Watch from 7/2024.
agreed, i have the same feeling
In how many sizes does it come?
Only one size, 40mm.
@timepieceofart 🥲
Does the Tsuyosa movement also have plastic parts?
There is no specific information indicating that the caliber 8210 contains plastic parts
People focuses on specs? My friend, the main idea of those watches is accuracy and quality. :D They are not toys or jewelry.
You're absolutely right that accuracy and quality are key, but when it comes to mid-tier movements, the improvements in specs-like power reserve or accuracy-are often incremental. That's why I focus more on the overall quality of the watch: the finishing, wearability, and how it makes you feel on the wrist. Specs are important, but they don't tell the whole story. Sometimes, it’s the experience of wearing the watch that truly sets it apart
For me they are jewellery. My phone has a clock on it.
What I want from a watch is nice design, build quality and good looks that matches the rest of my style (ie suits my clothing/what I'm doing). To me it is 100% an item of jewellery that happens to tell the time.
@ Why don't get a bracelet instead of a good watch? :))) Yes the watch can be also a jewellry but let it serve it's main purpose too! :))
So in conclusion, do you choose Tsuyosa or Prx? please answer honestly 🙏🏻
If both watches were same price, i would go PRX
