Rs180 per sqft is huge difference between the sqft rate of tiles. It's not cost effective.
In Patna Bihar, we get it done around ₹45 per sq. ft. including everything. Yeah polishing may cost ₹8-10 extra

My grandmother house was made of red oxide. Soothing and earthy feeling. One maintenance issue with this is, spill of any acidic fruit juice like lemon or tamarind will discolour the floor.

Wax polish will start get whitish or yellowish after some time natural shine only comes while using the floor on day to day basis.. Wall color paints were horrible 🤭
But this looks good only on traditional homes...

180 with material cost or 100 for labour cost - is very expensive. I think people do Italian vitrified tiles for around 180 only. If they are going to charge high, these traditional things will become elite and people will go after tiles. Slowly these traditional stuffs will die.

Its easy to maintain. Regular sweeping & mopping are enough to keep in good condition for years

Very few GOOD people for this job today . Always see the persons work before giving the work. Good finish more important than rate.
Quality of water is very critical. Try using only drinking quality soft water at all stages. Olden days only well water was used.
Hard water will give poor finish.

Floor will not be slippery ? In such polished floors , whether it is mosaic or marble, if water spills , it is not visible and chances for skid is more

Nowadays there are no masons who can make such floorings nicely.

But is this waterproof and I hear that the shine of this flooring wades of soon and these are the reasons why people do not prefer this more these days. Plus the contractors should come out with design flooring in this, only then people who are habituated in seeing beautiful tiles will switch over to this.
No...based on how you maintain...sun light will spoil the shine, so don't lay where you feel sunlight falls more...
