They got promoted to AAA in 21' and to this day I haven't decided which way I'd want it. There was definitely a charm to independent baseball, no doubt, but there is also excitement in watching guys like Jose Miranda & Royce Lewis before they got their shot in the majors.

I strongly believe in independant baseball. I did see the Stockade playing in my hometown (Trois-Rivières Québec) which had a team in the Can-Am league. I don't mind the score: i like those players playing a sport they truely love !
The Grays were also a team without a home:

I had dinner with the managers of Equipe Quebec tonight near Chicago, who normally manage Quebec City and Trois-Rivieres. (Equipe Quebec was mainly formed from the QC and TR rosters, and played the first half of the season entirely on the road in the States, due to issues with the US/Canada border being closed.) Check them out when they return "home" (games played at both Stade Canac and Stade Quillorama) to Quebec next week!

JD Droddy is a good friend of mine. He's one of the most interesting, if not THE most interesting people I've ever met. He's now the Pecos League adjudicator. He was also the manager of the 2013 Trinidad Triggers, the team that Fox Sports did a reality show on. So you can also add "Reality TV Star" to JD's resume. He was also an all-state football player in high school many years ago in Texas. Great guy for sure.

Now that I know the history of the Salina Stockade, let's see if the positives can be focused on,more readily. First, this team NEEDS a foundation to establish a fan base.Has anyone on this team addressed this issue? Second, whats going on with the team's talent scouts? I'm pretty sure that this team can provide an opportunity for young men, across the socio-economic spectrum of the United States...who simply want to play baseball. Thirdly, how's the coaching staff abilities of developing team fundamentals? As the team WILL develop, bringing me to the final point, ADVERTISEMENT for the Salina Stockade WILL be needed. Concession Stands to be considered later,HUA?! Hey,growing up in Chicago, watching the White Sox, I remember one of MLB's great owners like Bill Veeck and his promotion gimics of having the Chicago White Sox team to wear collared uniforms with short pant,as jerseys(I wouldn't advise for the Salina Stockade...but it was noticeable). Also,do not rule out fan investments.

When I went to one of the only Salina Stockade games that was actually in Salina, Ben sat right behind my dad and I. It was a smallish concourse and not many people there so we thought it was very odd as we didnt know it was him yet. We ended up moving seats because he kept talking to people right next us and we were just trying to enjoy the game. He quoted me in his article as well which was sick! Although I think it is funny that in his article he jokes about how no one wants a picture with JD the coach, but that very day I took a photo with him! Not only was I excited because a Pecos League team was playing in the American Association (my two favorite leagues with both having teams in Kansas where I lived at the time), but also I had seen JD on a docuseries of him coaching in the Pecos League. So I had to get a picture with him once I saw the opportunity! I also got a ball signed by the coach of Wichita who they were playing which was Pete Rose Jr! The concession stand was a table with someone just sitting there with chips water and funny enough beer. I didnt get any beer though because I was driving the 3 hours back home after the game lol. They also had hats and I collect hats of teams I go to home games of. But in my collection I only want to get the hat that the home team wore that game and they werent selling that one. So thankfully I had met the commissioner of the Pecos League before and was able to get one of the hats via him! My dad and I thought we were just going to some stupid game that we only cared about, so when that article came out we were blown away! Especially with how much traction it got! I was in college at the time and my friend at lunch was reading that article and he showed me it saying "this sounds like a game you should have gone to" and he lost it when I told him I did and showed him photos lol
