Happy 70th Birthday Brian! same day as me ! I'm 57 and like yourselves taken the plunge and although we have ourselves a Motorhome have taken lots of hints ,advice and inspiration from Bob and Jenny. I say all the time to my husband 'Bob says........'🤣. - Bob and Jenny thank you so much we just love watching. Take care Wend & Rog.
Another great day........interesting around that area.....I also follow RAF Lossie and the arrival of their new aircraft........happy days......Poppy telling you where settled now come on lets go......
It is so sad when you leave a favourite place but we just tell ourselves 'we'll be back'. Great thing about being retired you can schedule in extra trips. Happy birthday Brian. May you have many happy years travelling with your caravan. You will have lots of fun.
Thanks for the informative video. Two beautiful sites on our list! We are so excited looking forward to handover next week and taking our new caravan out in Scotland for a try out. Caravanned for years when the family were younger and now just us two and the dog! You certainly got great weather for Bunree. Don't think we'll be so lucky next week. Wet weather gear for us and the dog!
Thanks Bob and Jenny for the mention of Fort William Harbour in the early 70s while I was working as a 2nd chef at a hotel in the town my mother and father came and stayed in that car park over night to visit me while they were touring Scotland I also enjoyed workiing and holidays in Scotland
Great video Bob and Jenny. The road through the Great Glen is a particular favourite of mine, and you picked a lovely time to drive through. Onward with more adventures. Thank you.
Watched this one at work too, and you'll know exactly where i am. Working on a Saturday morning pulled over with a cup of tea in a lay-bye right by the entrance to Somers Wood.
Hi Bob and Jenny Been following you for some time now but not not commented previously. Really enjoying your Scottish tour. Your vlogs are superb, just the right mix of sites, roads, yourselves and of course Poppy. We are fellow motorhomers and have just returned from an English Riviera trip. We are raring to get up to Scotland after watching your trip. Absolutely super, you 3 are legends! John and Chris
Remembering some of the roads we were on last year on the way to Dunnet Bay. Planning the same journey next year (Hopefully). Thanks for the videos and seeing the sites we may stay at.
I so want to do that tour Bob and Jenny. We have bought a motorhome but can't travel out of Ireland at the moment. Your doing it for us!! Keep up the great work.
So glad you enjoyed Bunree. We had planned to go there in May this year but had to cancel for obvious reasons. So it was lovely to see you enjoy it. We are now looking forward to staying there in the future and will make sure we book plenty of nights!! 👍😊
The cloud formation over the Mountains was stunning, scenery is beautiful. Stay safe and well x 👍🏴🏴🏴🏴👍🏴🏴🏴🏴👍
Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy! Yet another great video.we can’t wait to book Bunree as part of a Scotland tour. Could you tell me what make, model and size of tv you have in the lounge please? Thank you and I hope you have a great time away this week!

We had just reversed your trip by arriving at Bunree from Inverness !! The Moray Firth that you spoke of Jenny Is always know as “ Grannies sea” as my grandmother lived in the seaboard villages of Balintore and Shandwick . Wonderful childhood memories. It is almost on the opposite side of the Firth from Culloden . When we were at Inverness in September we went several evenings to Chanonry point to see the wild dolphins 🐬 come in about an hour after low tide to chase the fish in. A truly amazing experience and one I will never forget. Enjoy your stay and hopefully you might get to visit the battlefield if you haven’t done it before. Safe journey 🐾🏴
Enjoying your vid's we had planned to do the 500 this year but because of the covid it's on hold till next year Getting a lot of idea's of your vid's cheer's take care👍👍👍
You're just up the road from me . That was weird watching you drive through my home town. Hope you have a good time in the Highlands. The roadworks coming in to town, there's another bridge getting built across the canal so there won't be the hold ups when the bridge has to open for the boats. You could have gone right at that roundabout on to the southern distributor ( though you wouldn't know about it if you haven't been to Inverness for a while) it would be quicker, and you could have stopped in for a cup of tea 😀(if not for the pandemic🙁) Anyway enjoy yourselves .hope you get some good days, the colours are amazing right now👍
Hi, great video and scenery its on our list for next year we hope. Can I ask how you rate your satnav now after your journeys to date. Thinking of buying the same as our TomTom doesn't have the sites installed. Cheers and stay safe.
I am very happy with it, it's a little vocal with binging and bonging about every sharp bend or steep hill, but overall very pleased. I am planning on doing a follow up video.
We’ve just returned home after completing the NC500 in our hired motorhome, we generally caravan. I discovered you and Jenny doing a general search about touring with a motorhome before we set off. Our last site on the 23rd October was Culloden. I really fancy bunree when we come back to Scotland in our caravan, and find your videos invaluable for general approach and handy hints.Whilst we were doing the tour I’d say to hubby, Bob and Jenny do this etc. Keep up the good work, I love your reviews of the various sites. 👍🏻❤️
Really wanted to be touring the exact same spot this week, but rescheduled due to the current uncertain situation. Great that I can take some solace from watching your travels.
Aww wish we were still in Scotland! Had to return back to towards Manchester at the end of September as could not secure ferry bookings to Isle Skye, return with my x3 dogs and my brothers x3 on ferry. (Max x6 at one time allowed) at one given time. So we headed towards Fort William and Neptune Staircase before turning back toward Manchester, stopping in Ayr, Portpatrick and Annan over the 3rd week. Should have been going to Cayton Village CMC yesterday for a week, but had to postpone due to lockdown! Stuck at home, sitting in the van, re-organising the organised cupboards! Still I have your video's to keep me going! Happy Travels!🙉
We have driven to Glenco a few years ago by car. Really do have to get booked in to Dundee next year before we get much older. Is the back end of the year a better time rather than April or May? I sent the link of the drive to Glenco to my sister in Dallas today she was saying how she likes to watch travel programs and they don't get much better than watching that drive you filmed.
Difficult to say when is the best time to travel. October is generally quieter, but can be stormy. Early October probably best, before the school half term holidays.
Dear poppy, she wanted to do the ending bit!!! Love the autumnal colours and scenery. You commented on sadness at leaving Bunree, would you consider full time living in the van? Take care and thank you
The Caravan and Motorhome Club website on the Avtex Tourer Two says "Please note the sat nav will not necessarily route based on Club recommended directions and cannot guarantee all routes will be caravan/motorhome friendly. " So always check the route first and use your common sense.
Yes, Jenny thought she might have seen your van. We got very muddy feet when we ended up on the Forest Road. We went to Clava Cairns after watching your vıdeo, so you get a mention in the next one.
We were away before the Tier 3 restrictions started and therefore the following applied My home address is in a Tier 3 area but I haven't been there since the three-tier system was introduced, can I stay on all Club sites? If you can provide proof that you have been away from your home address for longer than 10 days, for example a holiday booking confirmation, you will be allowed to stay on all Club sites in Tier 1 and Tier 2 areas. Please advise site staff so they can add a note to your booking, confirming that you are eligible to stay.
@@jennyearnshaw7892 we had to cancelled, but not being defeated, we booked Southport Club site. OK its 2 miles down the road, but we are still away LOL
Hi Bob and Jenny we are heading towards buying a motorhome at some point within the next 12 months just curious just watching one of your videos what satnav to use is it a special one for motorhomes thank you
Jenny Earnshaw thank you Jenny, you both have inspired us so much , we have hired a couple, and love it, are mission is to buy one next year. My wife loves the look of Scotland sites you go to ! X Thank you again,

Another great one guys 🥰 and thank you for the useful information of motorhome parking at fort William 🤗
Watched this one at work too, and you'll know exactly where i am.

Yes, we stopped on that lay-by in February when we were too early for Somers Wood.
Brilliant journey thanks for sharing your video 🥂🐕🐾🐾
Loving your trip!!! Looking forward to your next installment!!!Enjoy!!! 😊😊
Thanks!
Phil from VW Adventures. Love these video's Bob & Jenny. We are hoping to get to Scotland next year. It looks beautiful.
It is, even on an overcast day.

Sat navs always get mixed up at that junction in Inverness turning right to culloden
Too many left right lefts...

Yes, but think we would like some base to come back to.
Another great vid. If everyone that was going to Scotland this year but cancelled and goes next year it is going to be a bit of MH scrum
Yes, maybe avoid the NC500, could be a procession.
Does that Sat Nav use CAMC directions when getting closer to the site?
The Caravan and Motorhome Club website on the Avtex Tourer Two says "Please note the sat nav will not necessarily route based on Club recommended directions and cannot guarantee all routes will be caravan/motorhome friendly. " So always check the route first and use your common sense.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Sorry i was only asking. I was watching one your your videos and hadn't even looked anywhere else for details about that satnav!
do you wave at other motorhomes when you are driving or just don't bother ?
Yes I always try to wave 👋 but not when they are on dual carriageways or motorways!
Think we must have just missed you, some of these moho's were there when we were there. Hope you didn't get lost in the dog walk🤣
Yes, Jenny thought she might have seen your van. We got very muddy feet when we ended up on the Forest Road. We went to Clava Cairns after watching your vıdeo, so you get a mention in the next one.
Very possible Jenny saw us, we were there 3 times because of crack in windscreen. Thanks in advance, will be watching next one but always do anyway👍
What is the number on the back of your Motorhome at the top? Never seen it before.

No, I stick below speed limits, the wide angle always makes it look faster than it is. The sat nav would be going loopy if I was speeding!
