    Hi, I just found your site today and have been watching. We have questions about what we can and cannot bring with us on our next trip to Mexico as a Temporary Resident. We want to make sure we declare everything correctly and avoid problems with customs considering our new status.

      Hi Linda. Congrats on your Residency! 🥳 That's a huge accomplishment! As far as bringing items into Mexico as a temporary resident, it depends on what all you desire to/plan on bringing in. I have heard of several individuals just bringing in all of their items in a few of their luggages without being stopped, while others have been stopped and questioned. Here is a resource for the official [untaxable] legal limit, if that is what you desire: consulmex.sre.gob.mx/reinounido/index.php/es/contenido/79-customs-and-migration-information
      As a Resident of Mexico, you do qualify to import household goods. If that's the route you desire, here is a helpful resource from the Mexican Consulate of Houston: consulmex.sre.gob.mx/houston/index.php/visas/menajedecasaextranjeros
      Hope that helps! 😊 Congrats again!

      Thank you! On our next visit we are trying to get our RFC and that will help us with our journey. I appreciate you addressing RFC for Temporary Residents, since it’s that in-between area that most don’t address.☺

    Hi, i have a question please. Only countries that don't need visa can fill this form???? Or even country requires visa or not. They can still travel through this form as a tourist??? ???

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      Hi. Whether your home country requires a VISA for travel into Mexico or not, the FMM form will be needed by all travelers if you are flying into an airport in Mexico that is not participating in the pilot program to eliminate the use of the form. You will be provided with the form upon entry, if it is needed. I hope this helps!

    hi , I am entereing mexico through Mexico City's Benito Juarez Airport, and in the "by air" section of the online form of the FMM there is not Mexico City Airport. What should I do?

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому +1

      Hi @Bubble Beats! I’ve been hearing from multiple subscribers that the Mexico City Airport is now participating in the pilot program to remove the need for the FMM form; maybe that is why it has been removed from the online form? Either way, no need to worry 😊 if the form is required, you will be provided with it on the aircraft or upon arrival. I hope that helps!
      Let me know how it goes for you! That’s a popular airport; I’m sure many others will benefit from knowing first-hand what the process is, presently.

    Does this also apply to people going into Mexico and back to the US on the same day by car? The FMM is very confusing and the answers very on different websites. Some sites say yes even if it's less than 72hrs, and others say no.

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  7 місяців тому

      Hi @Seijir0 yea, honestly it depends on the custom's official you get at the border if you're driving in; but (generally speaking) if you are traveling by land or by sea, an FMM form will be required regardless of the amount of days in the country. They could waive the cost of the form if your trip is less than 7 days; but that may depend on the mood or knowledge of the immigration official. I hope that helps!

    The FMM link is for land only if there’s one for flying? I’m flying in Puerto Vallarta to complete my permit residence.

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      Hi Randall. That's great! Congrats!! The FMM link is for both by Land and by air; but Puerto Vallarta is among the list of participating airports in a pilot program to eliminate the need for the FMM. For more information on that, I did make a video on the subject: ua-cam.com/video/i8Mc0k9t6Gs/v-deo.html
      I hope it helps! Let us know how it goes for you; and feel free to reach out with any other questions you may have. We'll try our best to answer them!

    Hi, I am from Texas, I’m going to cross the border to Reynosa and fly to Cancun, I have my passport book and I’m only gonna be there for six days. Do I still need a FMM form ? Or am I OK with just a passport book?

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      Hi @DanielRecio If you are crossing the border by land prior to your flight to Cancun, you will still need to fill out an FMM form upon entry into the country. They should provide you with the form at the border; and usually if you arrive by land and leave Mexico within 7 days of your arrival date, there is no fee for the FMM. I hope that helps! Enjoy your travels!

    Hello. Nice and very informative videos! I have also a question: can a pregnant woman(lets say 6/7 mounth) beeing denied entering Mx if they susspect she's willing to give birth there? Do they have issues with so called "birth tourism"? Thank you and a Happy New Year!

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому +1

      Hi @FDadu I have not heard of any pregnant women ever being denied entry into Mexico due to the fact that she is approaching her due date. I, of course, cannot speak for all Custom's Officials across Mexico; because they have the ultimate say in how many days any individual may or may not be granted to stay in the country at any given time. If "birth tourism" is the goal; it is a possibility that a pregnant woman's granted amount of days in Mexico may precede her due date, depending on when she arrives. I hope this is helpful!

    where is the IM officials located at? And also do we still need the FMM form into Mexico City?

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      Hi @RM. If you fly direct to Mexico City international airport, you will not need to fill out a physical FMM form; one will be generated for you electronically after speaking with the Immigration Officials as you go through customs. (They will be the workers behind the counters, that everyone lines up for.) I hope that helps!

    I have a six month trailer release how long can i enter mexico

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      Hi Jamel. I’m not sure what a six month trailer release is, so I can’t answer with certainty; but generally all non-residents and non-citizens of Mexico are allowed a MAXIMUM of 180 days at a time in the country. I’ve heard of individuals being granted less though; it all depends on the custom’s official you encounter upon arrival.
      I hope that helps!

    I'm confused because the FMM website says you don't need the FMM in select airports like Cancun and Cozumel.

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      That is correct! Because of the current pilot program going on at select airports, the physical FMM form is not being utilized (unless an individual has special circumstances). Cancun, I can confirm, has removed the use of the FMM form. Maybe Cozumel is also being added to the list; I can’t say with certainty at the moment.

    • @MixedinMexico

      Hi @Rolex No, you will not need the FMM form to go to Cancun. They are currently participating in a pilot program that removes the need for it.

    You'll only get arrested if you get caught by the police, army or INM. If you manage to make out then all you do pay at the airport not sure how much though.

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      True. I’m not sure how much the fine is either, but the cost of the new FMM form will be around $30USD at the airport. Some who have admittedly overstayed their granted days have reported that the INM officials at the airport have also “threatened” flagging their passport (which may slow the person down upon re-entry into Mexico, if the threat has any real substance).
      Thank you for sharing your insights!

    Why Mexican immigration deport tourist at airport entrance

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      Hi @gerami There could be a number of reasons why that may happen; I can't speak for every individual's unique circumstance but for the majority of people, if you follow the advice of this video, you should have no problem upon entering or exiting Mexico. 😊 I hope that helps!
