- This is a short video on how to get your Mexican Citizenship. I was confused going through the process with the other videos on youtube so I tried making it short with as much information to get you feeling confident and knowledgeable. In this video I talk about:
The Docs needed
-Your birth certificate, passport, and drivers license, application
-Your parents Mexican birth certificates, passports and drivers license
*Also their marriage certificate if they got married before having you.
-How to schedule your appointment with the consulate
Getting your dual citizenship and passport on the same day!
-Pros and cons of being a dual citizenship
This is the link for the application you need to fill out: chrome-extension://hbgjioklmpbdmemlmbkfckopochbgjpl/file:///C:/Users/ab301/Downloads/SOLICITUD%20RC%20v090418.pdf

Thats wassup vato. Ponte las pilas and your channel gonna blow up my guy. Thanks for the information.
Appreciate that primo going slowly but surely 💪🏽
I scheduled my appointment on the internet for at the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles on 04/11/2024. I selected "Passport etc" (it was wrong). I took they day off. They turned me away for not selecting the correct choice "registro Civil" was the correct choice. They told me to call again. It takes days before they have appointments available. Parking is $20.00 across the street..
You have to get your Mexican citizenship first BEFORE the Mexican passport, re watch the vid so you can see the proper steps. Sorry you missed work bro🙏🏽
Where you able to get the passport after all
Thanks for the help. This really helps out.
Glad it helped!
Insanely valuable and amazing quality video!
Question, were you under 18? I read that on the consulate page you dont need to bring your parents just their documents with you.
Secondly, were you able to get the passport and INE the same time?
Lastly, did you make one appointment for both or two seperate for the certificate and passport?
Very informational video, have a quick question. What about if one parent was born in Mexico & the other was born in another country and is living in their country
i got my acta de naci, like you i am a us citzen with a parent born in mexico.. i have been able to get my ine but recently tried to take out a loan and found out my acta wasnt certified.. whatever that means.. do you or anyone else know? or the process to getting certified.. i might go into another bank and try again.. alot of people that just make up randoms shiz in mex.. good content btw. thanks
I have a complicated situation.. both my parents are born in Mexico but in 1999 both became USA citizens.. I think both renounced their Mexican citizenship… it might become more difficult for me now.. I know they have their birth certificates but the other documents negative.. any advice?
Oh man. Same here. My parents don’t have a Mexican passport. They gave up their Mexican citizenship when they became US citizens.
When you said PASSPORT AND/OR DRIVERS LICENSE. , could it be just the drivers license? I've had a passport but lost it so could I just take the drivers license?
Thanks
So I have the long birth certificate but I also need to get the short one as well? And do I need to make copies of these all these papers or no?
Thanks! Great content!
Does it make a difference if I was married thus my Maiden name is no longer , as I use my married name now?
Thanks man, I gotta say… the consulates, MEXICO THEMSELVES, the websites…. HORRIBLE 😂 I know Mexico is a 3rd world country, but it’s so hard to schedule an appointment. I cannot believe how much bs there is.
Thanks broskii
What if your Mexican parents don’t have passports b/c they aren’t U.S citizens? They both have the Permanent Resident Card aka green cards.
Literally wondering the same 😕
What if you have one parent American citizen and the other Mexican? Or does it have to be both.
I am going to get mine as well. But I'm wondering if I can get my wife and kids a passport also all at the same time
Ok what if my parents are divorced ? And I don't have any contact with my father? Can I only use my mothers info ?
What about if it’s my grandpa?
Question What if i was born before my parent Marriage, Can i just use one to be present? both my parents are going through a divorce and cant see eye to eye..
Do base partido arquada contrato corte petenson
how about if both parents are no longer alive? what documents would i need to prove for mexican citizenship?
Same, mom passed never knew my dad but they were both born in Mexico
What if my parents where divorced how do i go about this
If they were legally divorced then they’d have to bring the official papers
yo, i saw you got a Palau id, but i was wondering if u couldve used your mexican passport to replace that.
Yeah I realized it too late tho but my Mexican citizenship would’ve worked because of my passport
What if my mom was born in Mexico and my dad was born in El Salvador ?
Entonces puedes tener 3 ciudadanías.
Most probably a stupid question my wife and kids are Mexican, thus my immediate family. Do I need to take the test and everything to become a citizen of Mexico 🇲🇽? Is there an easier way to claim mexican citizenship as a father and husband?
So if i become mexican birth certificate and i work in the USA i pay both to us and Mexico???
If you mean you'd have to pay taxes to both countries then no. If you have income coming in from Mexico INTO the US or vice versa then yes but I'd recommend talking to a consultant about that.
Hey how much did the dual citizen cost ?
What if the long form is long gone ?
If you mean the long form birth certificate then i would go online and search up "get long form birth certificate" on google and it should take you to a page with the county or with Social Security and you can go through the process to get a new one. I believe you have to pay a small fee for it so I'd double check
Hay bro quick question if you're parents are divorced??
If they’re legally divorced then they have to bring the official paper, my parents were never legally married so I didn’t have to bring any. Make sure it’s the original aswell
What if my grandma was born there? Can I still get citizenship?
Yes
🇺🇸🇲🇽
What if only one parent is Mexican?
Now u can do it with only 1 parent. Before it wasn’t like that. You just need them to go with you to ur appointment make sure you make an appointment to become a citizen before you get a passport. If you make the wrong appointment they will not give u the chance to switch it last minute.
Are you in a cave? lol
