I think it's spiritual connection to something bigger than yourself. God is a very western concept. As a Hawaiian, we are polytheistic, meaning everything is divine., the rocks, the trees, the stars, even us etc. It's the recognition that we are all part of the divine. @@Dlindo8892 What are you talking about... religion and "God" are concepts tightly connected to each other. I think you just found a good way to live with yourself, but rather than accepting it and rolling with it, you still feel the need to stick to that "God" thing.
That was actually one of the most beautiful and grounded talks I've ever experienced. Such a humble man that just about anyone with half a brain can resonate with. May God bless you, sir.
I do not know why youtube recommend me this and I am GRATUFL. As men, we need elders who can put good words and direction in our life. So thankful for this.
What a great word man. I'm sitting out on the patio with my 2 dogs. It's almost 3 am. I just looked up at the stars like I do sometimes & said to God. I don't get man. What am I doing here. I do have a blessed life, I also have 7 children & a wife. 4 daughters & 3 sons. I have definitely become unbalanced. I sat down and listened to this message. It was probably God having a little conversation w me. Very cool. Have a wonderful day.
You're very comforting. My mom passed when I was 8 and my dad eventually allowed my narc stepmom to push me out of the family. The holidays are hard. You're like an online uncle ❤️
The timing of your video couldn’t have been better. I’ve been haunted by a question posed in a sermon I heard this week, “ do you enjoy, sincerely enjoy the life God has given you?” Dewayne has hit the nail on the head. God has given us the way and the means to “ have life and to have it more abundantly “, and to have joy in God Himself. Anything apart from that will be unbalanced as Dewayne said. Thanks Dewayne, God bless you!

Thanks, Dewayne. Here’s my contribution. I assume she’s long gone now. I wasn’t an easy student for her, but she cared, and it showed. God Bless her. I became a Forest Ranger
Great video Duane. You have been blessed. I fell in love with the Salmon River area about 4 years ago. I went to look at buying a chunk of land. I am starting over. I want to get out of Washington state in a bad way. I grew up here on a farm and it has changed so much. While my Mom is still alive I will stay here. I want to do some horse riding there but haven't gotten a chance yet. When I do I may get a hold of your sons outfit. Thanks
Hi Dwayne, I just wanted to let you know that it's actually *August 5th* 😊 You may want to double check/adjust the date on your watch, so you don't get any of your appointments mixed up.
I had the pleasure of bearing witness to the granjure of The Grand Canyon. All of it was truly awe inspiring but when I got to a certain overlook near the Buzzards Roost i believe, The walls of the canyon floor opened up and there was a canyon inside a canyon and i was stopped on my tracks like something hit me in my chest...i forgot how to breathe...it felt down in my Soul that i had finally returned to a place i had long forgot and the Earth was welcoming me Home. I was Home. And the next rhing i know i was crying tears of joy and happiness at the profound beauty of that place. Im crying now as i recount it. I was weak kneed and had to hold onto the rail to stand up. It was the mosr beautiful thing ive ever seen and it awakened something in my Soul.
I so need this in my life...even if just on the weekends as a novice ranch hand or day laborer. Sometimes I feel like a caged lion spending my weekends sitting around . I'm a Carpenter by trade and a bodybuilder by hobby but I feel I need something of this nature to make me whole...

Well said. Born in 74. My wife of 29 years born in 76. You dont become a man or woman at 16 or 18 or 21. You must earn it. Everything you said is what it takes. Very few left who have the desire to do so. It seems its a lot easier to pretend to be someone or something else then to go out and earn a hood. Soft and squishy is not adequate enough to describe whats happening out there today. More like confused and unbalanced, unsure and lack of discipline. Great cigar and awesome chat. Cheers from the north.
@GoldenMars actually they both died in a car accident when I was young. What does parents in a nursing home have to do with being a man? I dont agree with that system. Dewayne, you made my afternoon when you said, "Read some poetry, and listen to some classical music." I'm a 25 year old man, and I have a great appreciation for both of those things.
I'm in the military and I'm deployed and I recently started going to church and running outside. I feel so much better appreciating the purple skies and hearing some encouraging words
Thanks brother. You touched my heart. As I lay down to sleep tonight, I shall review Psalms with a new open mind. I needed that. My heart is broken and heavy. I have a window always open to the beauty of his magnificence. I know that HE is there. And I know that is the glory of His creation. Consider me to be a follower. Ps. I like the small cigars.
I’m glad to finally have this feeling put into words and explained. Recently I’ve been feeling that emptiness, like there’s nothing for me to do, nothing to achieve. And I think it’s because I was neglecting my body too much. I never really cared about my physical self, I always just thought it was more of a “vessel,” that didn’t matter, especially since I’m gonna die some day anyways. But now that I hear this, I understand why I feel so much better whenever I go camping, or work on cars, or just go outside for a walk. This video genuinely helped me and really made me reflect and think. Thank you, genuinely.
Thank you! I have been in balance and done everything I can to stay there. It's not easy, but, that's what makes it all worthwhile. I am a wanderer, a writer of poetry, and a visual artist. I stand my ground and praise God for the life he has blessed me with. Thank you again!

I love these kinds of videos. I was raised in the city all my life. I have dreams of someday moving to the farm area. Even if it's just one acre. I'm thankful I have an opportunity to be able to do a lot of those things you mentioned in this video. I saw my seeds in my little backyard garden, I work on my car, I do landscape witch is my full time job and I take a walk through nature. I'm blessed to be able to take trail walks once a week in a place called Lodi Lake located 10 minutes away from where I stay. As for giving thanks for everything in my life I try and do that everyday.
The fact that a man has to give a disclaimer before speaking a few lines of religious text says a lot about the current state of the world we live in. That so many people get so upset simply by someone sharing views that they don't agree with, rather than just sifting through it and taking what applies to them, or opening their mind to new concepts, accepting that not everyone holds the same views and that that's okay, or at the very least, simply ignoring it if they really can't tolerate listening to it. Somewhere along the line people forgot that the fact that we don't all think exactly the same or hold the same views or beliefs is one of the many great things about humanity, and has saved us from some pretty horrible stuff or at the least, put an end to it. And I have a feeling that many who would have a problem with those verses being spoken would be the same to speak of "progress", not realizing that that very same progress only takes place in the presence of differing opinions and beliefs. I guess my point is, your videos couldn't have come at a better time. You are speaking words that need to be spoken in a time they need to be heard maybe more than ever.

You know it already, but you are truly blessed Brother! I truly enjoy your videos. But food for thought my friend. My wife of 37 years has dementia, a horrible disease. Still, every night I try to remember to thank God for all the blessings he has given me, starting with the 30+ years I got to spend with her before this happened. Find a reason to thank him every day…and keep up the great work.
Dewayne, been listening to a numbers of your "spiels" (Yiddish for "talks"), enjoying every minute! It's encouraging to hear someone discourse on being self-reliant, developing their own opinions, standing firm in the face of adversity, being respectful of others' "territories" and ways of life, valuing physical labor and the work we are placed to do; even from an East Coast city slicker it all resonates! Honesty facing our own self is the key to having honest relations with others, thank you also for bringing up what might be some uncomfortable topics for some. You are welcome to have your say, I don't think anyone should begrudge you that although they in the end they may chooser to differ. I think you've become a source of common-sense information for many and we are all the richer for it. Peace and blessing, be well.
Not sure if anyone added this yet, but I believe you’re referring to a painting by James Tissot, “The Widower”. It’s beautiful, and haunting, and you’re a more complete man if you can allow things like that to speak to you. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you - this video was confirmation that I need to get back on track and set a solid plan to move out of California. I lived in rural Colorado from 2007-2011 and it was the best time of my life. I miss that country lifestyle. I was surrounded by amazing people, we were all friends. I have no friends here in CA. My family has pulled me in so many directions with a career and college I feel drained and depleted. I want to sit outside on a patio until midnight smoking cigars like you and your wife. I hope I can make back there in time before it’s too late. Thanks.
I've never heard it put that way . Well said. I need to find this in my life. I don't think I have ever had all three at the same time. It sounds peaceful.
This touched me deeply. I’ve had that mountain top experience!with my daughter, looking down the mountain watching the deer walk by,surrounded by rocks and tall trees. I know God was there because I could feel his touch in the wind. Thank you for the reminder❤️

These are the exact feelings I feel whenever I go on solo hikes… just playing music, enjoying the environment, and letting my mind at ease. Thank you for this video
Not even finished watching, but you hit a sharp point with me here. I got kicked out of my church in 2003ish by asking the pastor to explain to me how the Trinity can be Three when there is only One. He could not answer except that the church can not help me for I’m on a different path. Little did he know (or maybe he did) I was indeed on a more spiritual path. You sir, ~20 years later, have just made me whole by sharing this perspective. It’s like I had all the pieces to the puzzle but needed someone to help complete the border; like I did the puzzle backwards. I am son of David 💪 and David is in the name I am known by. May you be blessed for all your years. Liked and subbed, I’ll look through your other stuff tomorrow, going to sit on this for a bit. Thank you sir, from the heart.
The Sun is a good example often used to help us understand the Trinity. God-Father is the Sun, Jesus is the light coming from the Sun and the Holy Spirit is warmth. These three always exist together. Yet it's only one - the Sun. We can't be in direct contact with the Sun, as we will die. Same with God - the Bible says that no human being can be in direct presence of God and stay alive. But we can be in contact with light and warmth - Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jesus calls Himself the Light, and the Holy Spirit is called the Conforter, so warmth represents Him well, too. It's warmth that we feel in our heart when it is touched by the Holy Spirit. I hope this analogy will help you to understand the Trinity better.
Thank you. Those moments of feeling completely integrated are rare and very special . I found myself in the Arctic and in volunteering in Latin America. Those experiences changed my life forever.❤❤🙂🪶🪶

@@Dlindo8892 What are you talking about... religion and "God" are concepts tightly connected to each other. I think you just found a good way to live with yourself, but rather than accepting it and rolling with it, you still feel the need to stick to that "God" thing.
Its not a religion its a relationship with our creator. Big big difference
That was actually one of the most beautiful and grounded talks I've ever experienced. Such a humble man that just about anyone with half a brain can resonate with. May God bless you, sir.
This man is uniting us… so many from all walks of life being nourished here, by one person being authentic. 🙏🏼💛✨
I do not know why youtube recommend me this and I am GRATUFL. As men, we need elders who can put good words and direction in our life. So thankful for this.
I’m officially adopting you as the dad I never had. 💕🙏🏻

🇺🇸🇵🇪🇵🇷😎 Thanks for reminding me that I'm 75 and that my life hasn't been a waste 💖,thanks again!!
Same here, I’ve been going through Ecclesiastes and it’s like someone put a magnifying glass right over me
No, I tried to enjoyand love God but always something get back to depressing and nihilism.
@@josephang9927 Ill pray for you Joseph. I know life can be tough (a lot of times, too much it seems) but know that God loves us all. He suffered the same pains we do so that we can be pain- free one day. Try to look for the beauty and look for God, just because the devil is here too doesnt mean Gods message need be lost. He loves us, he tests us too, look at these troubles as tests and you as a soldier of God. Keep pushing forward brother, we got this🙏🏻
God also gives babies cancer
You are life, and nothing is apart from God.
This guy is better than Tate
Thank GOD for the "tough times that we are currently living in so that we may see more clearly the light of GOD"
Amen brother

I've stumbled across this channel, I'm so glad I have! As a combat veteran it's hard to find perspective, hard to seek help and at times hard to take advice. I'm glad I've "listened" to your channel...I appreciate your candor and honesty and down to earth vital advice....
I've been in a weird way as of late..and listening to your channel has been an "aha" moment! God bless you and yours sir! Thank you so much for your channel and what you do!
Manly P. Hall and Anthony De Mello are well worth checking out as well. Thank you for your Service.
thank you🫶🏻
i mean it dearly
Thanks, Dewayne. Here’s my contribution.
There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more.
- Lord Byron
I was encouraged to read Byron by my HS English teacher. I assume she’s long gone now. I wasn’t an easy student for her, but she cared, and it showed. God Bless her.
I became a Forest Ranger
Not sure why this talk brought me to tears, but it did. And I'm not to manly to admit to that.
Thanks
I cannot believe that I stumbled upon your channel. This fed my soul. Thank you so much. It felt like you were talking straight to me.
That’s so funny you brought up Wally!! I’ve been saying that’s the way America has been going for the last 7 years at least!!!
Hi Dwayne, I just wanted to let you know that it's actually *August 5th*
😊 You may want to double check/adjust the date on your watch, so you don't get any of your appointments mixed up.
This guy's channel fills some of the void I've felt since my Grandfather died. I forgot how much I missed him, until I started watching him.
I loved this one especially, wow
I actually listened this start to finish. Really good stuff. This guy has 7 kids! What an accomplishment.
Every man needs to appreciate art, in all its forms. Even the samurai took time to write haiku, and do calligraphy and paint.
I don’t much about horses at all.
It’s interesting, but I’m listening to Dwayne’s message on life.
I appreciate you 👍🏻
I so need this in my life...even if just on the weekends as a novice ranch hand or day laborer. Sometimes I feel like a caged lion spending my weekends sitting around . I'm a Carpenter by trade and a bodybuilder by hobby but I feel I need something of this nature to make me whole...
I started watching you, Dwayne, for the horse info, but you sure have taken it up a few notches with these talks. Thanks.....
Great wisdom! Thank you for bringing it all into focus for us. Glad you got away. I treasure those pack trips. Gonna do one soon with my kids.
One of the very best videos you've posted! Thank you!
I thank Almighty God I found your chanel. Your videos are saving me bit by bit. Much love from South Africa❤
I absolutely love your channel. It settles me. I now start my day with your videos to center me even though i can't afford horses or go to wrangler school. Thank you for your material.
This is me, appreciating art. Your channel in its entirety has been that for me.
Thank you once again, I’ll be back next time.
Well said.
I believe family should stay together on the homestead. As will my kids.
But thanks for caring enough to reply. You have a great day.
Hi Dewayne thank you for your program .I'm from South africa and always wear boots and have a stetson .beside that I'm always told You are not a Cowboy .so what in my heart I am . Thanks again for all your advise .I'm 64 years old and I learn so much from your videos. You are an inspiration in my life . These are tough but when I look at your videos I feel alive again . Thanks again for you and Mamma .Danie Scholtz South Africa.
I've really come to appreciate these talks, I came for the horsemanship and tutorials but I stayed for the chats. I sit and paint while listening to these videos and find it gives me a great deal to chew on as I work. Thank you.
Sir my father passed some time ago. A lot of your words is the same as my father. Thank you so much for your kind words and wisdom.
The Widower and His Daughter. By Joseph Tissault, I believe.
Thank you, for being real, speak to the heart.❤
God Bless You, Your Family and Business.🙏🏽💞
Thank you! I have been in balance and done everything I can to stay there. It's not easy, but, that's what makes it all worthwhile. I am a wanderer, a writer of poetry, and a visual artist. I stand my ground and praise God for the life he has blessed me with. Thank you again!
I'm so grateful I found your channel. I'm watching your videos and you have the wisdom of Solomon which is a rare gift these days. Thank you for sharing the blessing of your wisdom. Take care and God bless you and your household 🙏

I had a realization a few months ago of almost exactly what you said. Hearing it come from a well spoken good souled man really is powerful. Im 26 and started getting into collecting antiques and finding nice art pieces I have a small antique lamp collection and they are all works of art. I started playing piano and overall real self improvement. Deleted social media except UA-cam and Snapchat. I even open my bible up way more often. It’s a wacky world in todays society with social pressures, political wars and media nonsense. But he’s spot on in this video.
I’ve been living on Snapchat and UA-cam for about 5 years now, UA-cam shorts has now ruined UA-cam as it is addictive
delete Snapchat.
Hi. Can I connect with you?

I’m in the middle of a cabin build as a means of doing physical work. I have bone on bone in my right heel joint that is painful 24 x 7. I’m over 55. I wake up most mornings without the ability to put weight on my foot. I spend time with the Trinity each morning. I’m so imperfect, but I know I’m improving. There is something about getting yourself balanced that is deeply satisfying. I sleep tonight with gravel and dirt embedded in my knees…it’s the stuff soap won’t touch. Blessings brother. We all love you.
I absolutely enjoy listening to you while doing random stuff around the house, grocery shopping or even working on my laptop.
Support from Morocco!
The grace of appreciation. Thank you, DeWayne.
God bless you my friend. I’ve only just recently been led to you, but you’ve changed my life. We all need redirecting back to what’s truly important, so thank you and blessings to you and your family.
Amazing! Thank you for sharing this. You made me reconsider what is important in life. Please keep talking about God.
Your wisdom reminds me so much of my dad. I'm heading home now for Thanksgiving and I just can't wait to hug that man. Thank you for your amazing words
I believe that will PREACH Brother!! Carry on.
Wow, bless you for recognizing the moment and sharing with others. I've been there too my friend.
❤Hey DEWAYNE NOEL! Just listened to this one a second time and heard things I didn't hear the first time. Liked it very much. KATIE ❣️ KENTUCKY😊!
Really spoke to me! Thank you for another excellent video
Often times when I’m with my family, I feel the “soul filling” feeling you mentioned.
I am a 55 year old man and Dwayne’s videos and advice have helped me a lot. One of his videos answered a question about life that I had carried with me unanswered of years and he answered it. God bless this man.
This was beautiful brother.
golden advice every single video:)
I am a man and i grow flowers and a garden. No shame in ny game haha. I am an internet amd gaming guy too. But i love being outside. i love taking walks and listening to the sounds of summer. The birds, the jar flies, the katydids are music to my ears. i always feel when I'm outside i am at my "church". Amen on your message sir, you are on point. 💛
Thanks Dwayne, I'm not a religious man but I'm starting to see the beauty in uncorrupted faith, not just that but see the beauty in myself. Thank you
What a special message. Thank you. God is sooo good.
Its good to hear people who have gained wisdom share it.
Glad to hear that you are enjoy our wonderful Idaho. I used to herd cattle on the range near the lodge and know how beautiful that country up there is. Now live in close to your son.
Just found this guy... he is awesome! Keep up the great work my friend!
Not sure how I stumbled upon your video but has a father of a 5 year old boy and 2 year old girl along with a beautiful wife, I'm glad I did sir.
Thank you so much for all the stories all the wisdom and knowledge your providing not just to the WORLD but to us MEN
Not sure if anyone added this yet, but I believe you’re referring to a painting by James Tissot, “The Widower”.
Thanks.
Thank you for being the grandfather I never had a chance to get to know.
Underrated channel on this platform.. the wisdom and knowledge this man shares with the world is beyond incredible.
I've never heard it put that way . Well said. I need to find this in my life. I don't think I have ever had all three at the same time. It sounds peaceful.
Out of the hundreds of hours of videos and TikToks I’ve seen this year. This one rings the most true and sincere. Great orator, great message
Tiktok is garbage
This touched me deeply. I’ve had that mountain top experience!with my daughter, looking down the mountain watching the deer walk by,surrounded by rocks and tall trees. I know God was there because I could feel his touch in the wind. Thank you for the reminder❤️
I could listen for hours and hours. For me, surfing checkmarks all 3 boxes 🙏🏼
If you wrote a book and made an audio book version of it...I would buy it. Couldn’t care less about the subject...got a great voice and message 🙏
heck, i would read the physical version too, lots of wisdom too
Absolutely loving your videos buddy. I’m a little surprised they haven’t thrown you off the platform for speaking such truth. Please keep up the great work your inspiration.
These are the exact feelings I feel whenever I go on solo hikes… just playing music, enjoying the environment, and letting my mind at ease. Thank you for this video
Same ! Issue for me now is having these feelings when I work, for now I'm lost in what to do.
I wish you were a preacher at a church so I could gather with my family and gain knowledge from you weekly
In stead of waiting 20 years you cóuld find an answer yourself. I mean, there is oh so much information to find on the internet....
What can I say. May the Lord bless this man and his family! May God bless all honest men in God's world!
Hold the line!
Full of wisdom.
As an Idaho native I'm glad to see our state still has good people in it. Thank you for the words of wisdom sir.
Well said, pretty deep and pretty smart for just a ‘ cowboy’. ❤️🙏
Thank you. Those moments of feeling completely integrated are rare and very special . I found myself in the Arctic and in volunteering in Latin America. Those experiences changed my life forever.❤❤🙂🪶🪶
