By far their best. Its the only album they did where I like every song on an album. The use of synthesizers was done perfectly and the melodies to songwriting to the whole epic feel is just incredible. Its actually my personal favorite album of all time. There is no album I listen to more then somewhere in time. These guys were on point as a band with this album. Epic shit lol

I love this tutorial Euge! Somewhere In Time is my favorite Iron Maiden album without a shadow of a doubt! The tone is also one of my absolute favorites! So thank you for this! It's a shame they stopped making the Gallien Kruger 250ML and 250RL's though..
When I'm able to recreate this tone I'll grab a Marshall JCM800 2203 and a Marshall 1960B 4x12 Cabinet (Same cabinet Adrian Smith uses)..
As for effect pedals I'll use the Boss Super Overdrive SD-1 and the Boss Chorus Ensemble CE-5 along with a Boss RV-6 Reverb.. But I want your opinion on a couple of things.. What do you suggest I use for the Micropitch sound since I prefer using effect pedals? Would a Boss PS6 Harmonist do the job?
And last but not least.. Do you recommend using either a Boss DD-3 or Boss DD-7 Digital Delay for the sound as mentioned?
    Cheers Euge!

I have both DD-3 & DD-7 and they both sound the same to me but DD-7 has just more different delays. I use the basic digital delay - mode always anyways on both so they both work 👌.

@@EugeValovirta230V Awesome! Thank you so much man I'll definitely check those out!

Can’t remember what I said but the chords are pretty much fifth chords so you can do pretty much whatever you want with them like playing a Phrygian lick on top 😎👌.

Euge, put "The Sword" on your list? Great band from here in Texas.

You killed that song!! Loved this album when it came out. The guitar tones sounded a mile wide to me back then. You've reproduced them fantastically. Thanks for the video, loved it!! 🤘🤘

Nice video! Here's a suggestion for a similar one: Painkiller by Judas Priest. The guitar in that album sounds extra sharp and crispy, and I have NO idea how they made that sound.

Great video Euge! I used to play parts of this song a long time ago, but I always had trouble with the solo. Thanks to you, I will take another serious look at it. I am a little better than I used to be, so I think I can play more of this one now. It's a great song, and a great album. A true classic. C-D-E formula Maiden is known for! I had forgotten about the Gallien Krueger ml250 they used on this album. Thanks for making this video. You nailed this one! Fun song, that is not too hard to play. ( At least the main parts. )

They`ve been used Gallien Krueger solid state amps with stereo speakers and inbuilt analog stereo chorus on Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son of the Seventh Son. :)
