When wiping the board and trying to write 50% on each side, instead just erase text and draw your line that bisects the circle. Instantly, you have a visualization of 50/50 without needing text. (And from the context it is assumed that one side is male, the other female.) And in a subtle way, the circle is white without the text, visually depicting wholeness. (The eye focuses upon the wholeness of the circle, not that there is a bisecting line.)

@@avo-w1s I’m almost same situation married 31 years, 4 daughters, husband in adultery and divorced me. My advice from this point I would have prayed more and submitted more to my husband , more showing him respect and trusting God only to deal with him, having a gentle and quiet spirit ( which I didn’t ). Gods design is good and for the good of husband and wife and children.
Father, i have witnessed many marriages crumble because the man tries to exert his authority for the better of the family (things like enforcing modest dress, healthy eating, extra prayer time, giving tough lessons to the kids, etc...). But the wives don't like it so they just divorce them. Idk how these men i know are supposed to handle that. I know them personally and they are Godly men. Lord have mercy
I think this goes into what father is saying. He’s making having children heavier no lighter. He’s not just supposed to dictate what someone should do but help in that process if that’s what they need. Healthy eating is fine but cooking that can be harder depending on what. Modest dressing is great but if she doesn’t like his personal style it can feel controlling because it isn’t her style of modesty.
Marty you're absolutely right. Whenever I'd try to steer my family, and gave my help trying to trying to get the kids to behave my ex wife would run off with the kids and eventually cheated on me too. We're fighting against a whole spirit of the age here and Father is overlooking quite a bit. The courts are more than happy to grant women a no-contest divorce and make money off of child support. They get their fair share with administrative fees. The women today are far beyond just wanting a shiny fruit. I've actually had to help counsel priests whose wives left them in the same manner. Our best recourse as men is to draw closer to God. This is why so many men commit $uicide or turn to drinking, and hete in America we get priests who talk big talk but don't stand up against this injustice for the sake of the families.

my husband and I believe in “happy spouse, happy house”. I honor him, he loves me. We are a team when it comes to parenting. We don’t undermine each other and any constructive criticism is always given away from our children and in a respectful manner.
Such a beautiful way of interacting not only with your spouse but also with your children. They will learn to mimic your behaviour in their own relationship one day and respect their partners as well 💕
Another sad part of life pornography, only fans, etc. is only allowed to flourish because we men keep it in demand. We men need to to do better, than these evil industries will fail
@@LuminescentShine Fewer women participate it than men do, the women are just the actresses but the producers and consumers are mostly men. It's very rare to meet a man who isn't completely addicted to pornography nowadays. Even the men who recognise how evil it is and quit often relapse, time and time again, hurting their wife and children.
Those things will always exist. In fact the Orthodox church purposefully kept prostitution legal during the ERE. Believing that majority of men can conquer sexual sin without marriage is like believing women will go for a guy on their level in a sexually liberated society. Never going to happen.
These videos are a big help. Nobody teaches these things to me in school or anywhere else. Knowing and understanding the things you teach will most probably help me when I get married. Many of the concepts are extremely useful outside of marriage as well. Thank you for taking your time to teach me all of this.
My marriage didn't workout the way I wanted. Insecurity can be a cancer to a marriage. My poor wife just could not help herself and no matter what I did she was terrified I'd cheat. Its ironic because she was terrified because she was the one who cheated and realized the guy she cheated with wasn't all that.
The same situation happened with me although we weren’t married. We were together for 4 years. It feels like you’re drowning the entire time. After a situation like this you may find yourself trying to be over reassuring to people you date. It’s then that you realize it was not a normal thing nor is it needed for someone that’s secure.
@@StMiles same. We married in 2020. I was happy for 2 months, found out 2 months after we were married she cheated 2 days before our marriage with some guy from work. Wives need to be loved. Husbands need to be honoured. Gratitude is the glue in a relationship. 4 sins tear it apart: Criticising, Contempt, Defensiveness, Stonewalling. Good advice, thank you.
Seeing my parents have these issues is sad but I pray I do not repeat the same mistakes as you mentioned over coming these proclivities through Christ and to have patience and love for my (God willing) future wife.
Amazing video father Moses. My wife watched it after me and we discussed for 20min. The concept that a woman needs to be loved and a man to be honored explained a lot of our previous frustrations.
God Bless you Father ! I was reacting to your content live and for the first time, i completely agree with a video, your words are words of truth and wisdom ! The Good Lord is with you, thanks for the great video !
I've noticed this in my parents. Anytime we asked my dad to do anything he didn't want to so we wouldn't. But then if mom wanted to he'd say "I guess." It was very annoying. Also in a couple hosting a Bible study. The women is taking the lead while her husband just sits around waiting for orders. I think a lot of guys fall into this complacency because their goals are get women and have kids. Once they achieve that, they quit working. If your goal is to live a Christ centered life, you will always be able to improve and never have a reason to quit. So this should be our focus.
It’s kinda hard to stand up to women in our modern culture where it’s considered toxic and you’ll be ostracized for it. Basically it’s what inevitably happens in matriarchy
this is all so true unfortunately. my husband and i never agreed with "happy wife happy life". Marriages are supposed to be constantly sacrificial. We please one another and that means bending and not doing everything exactly how we want it.
This was a Godsend Father thank you, baby #2 kicked our butts and I’m guilty of cowardice and the exact other issues you said. May God keep us vigilant. Many years to you and yours

Father, I thank you for what your teachings you give to this wicked world. You know more about why my own marriage is in turmoil than me. God bless you and your kin.
Dude. Explain what "responsibility" men are running from? I'm the one who prioritizes church. I'm the breadwinner. I work full time and run a business. I'm the one my son respects. I'm the one planning a future. I'm the one who takes all of my wife's mental and emotional abuse. She's obese and can't even manage one child. She's hopelessly dependent on her parents and wants to live next to them because of their money. I don't play video games. I don't do drugs. I'm dying here man. I'm drowning and I just need a break. I feel like I have no control over anything and everything is my fault. I'm constantly being blamed for anything and everything not just by my wife, but by people like you who don't even know me or my situation. And anytime I ever did marital counseling I always took a brunt of the beating because she was always handled with kid gloves
Do what did. Tell her to her face that she is the problem and tell her, literally, to shut up when she is verbally abusing you. If she escalates to physical, get her arrested and file for divorce. Accuse first, file first, and do not let her take the kids with her if she leaves. They do not have the right to do that without your consent.
He wasn't speaking directly to you. He made a video addressing a common problem, it would be impossible for him to comment on every person's unique situation. Why take such offense?
Dude, I was exactly where you were! What you're describing: running a business, living by her parents and her constantly complaining, NEVER happy blaiming me for everything (and her putting on weight all the while me in damn good shape working out regularly). She was the proverbs 21:9 woman. She was the evangelical pharisee. Here's my advice! Get your financial shit together because that lazy self righteous entitled fat pig will come after your shit and take your kids away from you! Take sometime to spread your business through several LLCs - but if you can make someone else the officers and not you! In my case the entitled pig kicked me out of the house. I finally started getting laid again! Life got waaaaay better for me but the diabolical ex did everything to divorce rape me and turn the kids against me (doing psychological damage to them in the process). If I get married again, I'm doing it with a contract stating shared custody with the kids, all medical decisions made by me, and percentage of alimony low as an incentive to not play games. The problem is not with men its a coordinated attack on the family by Hollywood, the CIA, government laws that empower family court, family court and the parasitic system that has grown up around it. The attack on the family is percise and its directected at the man.
The last woman who let the man control the relationship was my grandparents. Things were not perfect for them, but they complimented each other and stayed married I don't think a relationship like that is possible in this day and age.
I anticipate Fr. Moses’ videos as though my favorite band is coming out with a new album. Absolute bangin’ truth every single video! Thank you Father! ☦️
If you want your family to survive use your nesting instinct to make your home a place he desperately wants to get to not a place that he wants to avoid and stay away from.

If you're truly repenting then you should pray for them and give alms in there names. Also go and confess to your spiritual father and do the penance he gives you.
Sociological reasons: 1. Secular, individualist-based, competitive society based on ungrounded classical liberal values. 2. Materialist presuppositions for human "value" as the roots of the modern attitude of the social sciences to persons, such like the 'homo-economicus.' 3. Lack of community due to modern utilitarianism, self-interest, and egalitarianism. No emphasis of necessary spiritual hierarchy or objective Orthodox spiritual quotas to be filled by denizens. 4. Lack of social-based architectural planning reflects the competitiveness of a community and the idea of "making it to the top" at the cost of organic unity. 5. Lack of shared spiritual values. America is relativistic and utilitarian to the question regarding faith, folk, or fatherland. 6. The rise of liberal femenism in corporate America. Now, even women compete against men. The liberal market knows no morals. Usury, greed, pride, and envy, are all technically "good" for the market game. 7. The privatization and capitalistic subversion of the traditional Christian extended family system, and its transformation into the modern 'nuclear-family' innovation of the mid-twentieth century.
Yea. I have a GF I love to death but she told me she hasn’t been happy the last two years with me and our son is two. I don’t like to argue when she wants to start an argument because I grew up with it all my life watching my parents argue all the time and things get violent. I’m a pacifist and just stay quiet and let people say their piece because I just don’t care anymore and don’t want to talk to people when they’re irritated
Very illuminating video, thanks father. You're right on your criticism about us the men, I think men implicitly know that authority goes together with responsibility, so we gave up the former to get rid of the latter. In the end, we're lazy a lack a direction in life.
In the end, we got rid of our authority but we still bear all the responsibility and we're paying for this. I don't think our unwillingness to take on responsibility is what led to this, though - on the contrary, it's that we didn't understand the immense responsibility which comes with authority, so we thought that hogging all of the authority for ourselves is somehow "oppressive" towards the ones we lead. Or maybe I'm just projecting because this is how I used to think before I understood what authority really was.
I totally agree. Feminism harmed our society and now we ended up with men getting intimidated by women and running away from commitment. I wish God blesses me with a good man someday who knows how to lead and make decisions without having to point anything out to him.
That's not the way either, sister. No man is perfect, and there are endless occasions where I appreciate my wife's input on something I've forgotten or a perspective I've overlooked. He should have the final say, not the only say. As his wife you'll be his support, it's your responsibility to use your wisdom and intelligence to help him, and his to let you help him without letting his ego make him think he's always right the first time.
This is exactly where I'm at. You are always on the mark. We literally had our 1st child and 2 years later she's talking to another man and saying "she loves me but she doesn't love me".
this is one of your best ones yet I’m trying really hard to lead my family. I have improved a lot over time. but, to be honest, I fear divorce. I fear the modern legal system that will take my kids away from me if my wife becomes “unhappy”. sometimes this fear prevents me from acting.
The defining characteristics of a leader, in my opinion, are 1) the courage to make necessary decisions and accept the responsibility which comes with them, 2) the humility to admit mistakes and learn from them, and 3) the cooperation to listen to the feedback of the ones he leads - we all have some blind spots for our mistakes. Of course, taking feedback into account does not mean following it - there is only one thing for a leader to follow, which this video already covered. If you do all this and she's still "unhappy" without being clear about it, she's either a bad communicator or has ulterior motives - not your fault. As a follower, it's her responsibility to understand the weight of a position of authority and that it's impossible even for an experienced man to always know what the correct course of action is - only an omniscient being would be capable of that. Also, she has already joined you *and* had a child with you - as a mother, it's her responsibility to devote herself to the marriage and if she abandons it just because she doesn't like a (thought-out and good-willed) decision you've made, it's *her* who has failed, not you. Even more so if she leaves for even more frivolous reasons such as her own lust. And then, if the legal system takes your children away from you on a whim, then it's the system which has failed. If it comes down to that, you must still fight for as much custody as possible - we have already seen what happens to children with no father figure.
i might not be an Orthodox Christian or very deep into my faith yet, but your videos help everytime i see them. i haven’t even graduated high school yet and you’re already helping me learn important things about life. thank you Father.
Father, bless. The pre-marital counseling class my wife and I were required to attend through Goarch (surprisingly enough) included a lot of the stuff you cover.
Authority does not mean fulfilling a woman's luxury wishes. In my case it got to the point where the children had nothing to eat because of her shopping addiction. I was tired of fulfilling her wishes until I took control, but she resisted extremely even though we had a good standard of living. She got divorced and now she is bankrupt because of her behavior.
Father Bless! Perhaps you should consider writing a book on these topics, a lot of Orthodox brothers and sisters would benefit from it! Thank you so much Father Moses, I've really benefited a lot from your videos this last months! God bless you, your family and community! ☦🙏Amen.
Great word, father. Thank you ☦️❤️. I’m 41. I watch a lot of men at my age still whining about getting to play video games and smoke weed. It’s what running from responsibility looks like for my generation. God bless
In the name of the Father The Son and the Holy Spirit Amen great video Father Moses, I am so grateful to hear these messages from someone within the institution with a critical thinking mind, your perspective and preaching is so valuable.
I love that you point out that men have given up their authority. So true. “Men need to bear the responsibility of all things.” Otherwise chaos ensues.
The thing is if they do decide to get married, it’s still legal to divorce them. Ask any man: they aren’t afraid of marriage, they’re afraid of divorce. At least the bottom 90% of men anyway.
@@edm-london1660Yes in an authoritarian way. Authority means exactly that. Same with obedience. Humor and kindness won't solve a disagreement. Authority and submission will. Meaning the wife ought to submit to the authority of the husband at all times.
The experience I have of leadership is at work. I have had situations where I was leading a team of a couple of people and with only one exception it was fine, the relationships were fine, there was good communication, they did the tasks I delegated them etc. But with one person right from the beginning it did not work and it lead me to wonder sometimes "what did I do wrong?". After reflecting a lot I could not find a particular thing I did and my conclusion was that the person was not in the mood or was irritated with something else or just plain deranged, because with all of the other persons it was fine. So my conclusion was that there is just so much that you can do as a leader, the subordinates must also be willing to play their role. Unless you are in a situation like you are an army officer at a war that can execute a soldier that refuses to attack the enemy, there is just so much you can do, the person you are leading has to be willing to play their role too.
Father, how to be the authority when not allowed? Women these days only recognize authority in sadistic, manipulative men, they live in such a horrible world that any act of kindness is seen as a weakness thus a lack of authority. I believe the advice is good for the small percentage of women that haven't fall for this modern day culture. God bless you father and thank you for your content!
authority does not ask to be "allowed," bud, you've got it all wrong. That's literally contradictory to what authority entails. Authority _commands_ respect and submission, it does not ask for it, otherwise it is submissive to the other. If they do not willingly submit, you don't associate yourself any further with such women. Because we don't live in an Islamic world, we wouldn't beat her to death or stone her, we simply move onto the next dog. Let the wolf search out its food in the wild, it shall meet its end in the wild. Let the dog enter the home, for it knows where the food is to be found, from the hand of the master which feeds him.

Fr Moses a good follow up video may be specific actions that a man can take to get out of the danger zone that you presented. Once a relationship has gotten all the way to the danger zone that you mention, with the woman having dominated the relationship for years, a man suddenly trying to “take control” could be disastrous.
Hmm, this exactly the opposite of what I thought I was supposed to do as a man. I’m 29, and single. I have not dated much, only 2 previous relationships one in Highschool one in college. Something I noticed from women is it seems like they don’t want a man to take charge. Honestly I think most women I’ve interacted with kinda wish men did not exist deep down. In my case, it was like the more I tried to do for my last girlfriend, it was never enough for her; it was like pouring nectar in a sieve and trying to hold it in. I am deeply frustrated with women, and am reaching a point of hopeless celibacy. I desire relationship with a woman, but I seem to repulse them, it deeply hurts me.
@@dimitrisgakis9206 I believe I have heard of MGTOW before, but to me it just seemed like dudes that had a disdain for women. I love women. I desire to be with a good woman and to love in a productive marriage until the day I die.
Father, I stepped up, I lead, pretty well for a long time ... 21 years ... But I still ended up loosing my family for just these same reasons ... 21 years ... That's how much of a sickness this really is ... And now I'm totally alone and nobody speaks to me ... At all ...
A relationship where the woman puts a ring in the man’s nose and leads him passively around is one of the ugliest things I’ve ever seen. I agree with the replies, the unspoken fear of every married man who wants to change the dynamic is that she’ll reject correction and headship and leave with the kids. I can only say I’m sorry. If you’re an unmarried man, learn to be as picky as a woman about the important qualities of your spouse. Feel out whether she can take correction and defer to your leadership when you disagree about something; if not, drop her like a hot potato. Do *not* expect to “fix” fundamental disobedience and disrespect. You’ll eventually find a woman who will respect you - I know I have.
Men are running from working hard because you work hard and give all your money to women in marriage or through taxes or through divorce. Also, you work incredibly hard, and then the job goes to a female DEI hire anyways There’s literally no incentive.

You’re allowed to be divorced in orthodoxy - even 3 x !!
@@jenniferprull1887 Great! If you’re happy… but if you’re miserable it’s ok to divorce…
We are not Catholics!
Not even kidding I just prayed to God about this not even 10 mins ago Glory to God
Knoks and he will answer.
Modest dressing is great but if she doesn’t like his personal style it can feel controlling because it isn’t her style of modesty.
... and above all love your wife (hardest commandment of all). being tender, gentle, etc. it's what the father emphasized towards the end.
@@despairknotI hope my book will help men understand the feminist brainwashing women have endured since the sexual revolution… soon it will be out Lord willing! Women MUST see themselves as the biggest part of the problem rn given the current society…. It’s the stance I took that helped

my husband and I believe in “happy spouse, happy house”.

Women also participate in creating it. But I agree that we men need to do better.
Satan's industry has impacted our minds and society more than we realise.
Those things will always exist. In fact the Orthodox church purposefully kept prostitution legal during the ERE. Believing that majority of men can conquer sexual sin without marriage is like believing women will go for a guy on their level in a sexually liberated society. Never going to happen.
This doesn’t make sense. Around 40% of corn watchers are women. Even if all men stopped watching it, it wouldn’t fail.
I’m sorry to hear that dude
The same situation happened with me although we weren’t married. We were together for 4 years. It feels like you’re drowning the entire time. After a situation like this you may find yourself trying to be over reassuring to people you date. It’s then that you realize it was not a normal thing nor is it needed for someone that’s secure.
Yeah, my wife did the same thing.
@@StMiles same. We married in 2020. I was happy for 2 months, found out 2 months after we were married she cheated 2 days before our marriage with some guy from work. She had a whole relationship with him. But I forgave her. The problem was that she was scared I would cheat as revenge. I didn't. Thought about it and then realized that it would solve nothing and just make me evil. So I tried to get past it. She became worse, and worse and worse until I had to leave it all behind.
@@theorigami3685 I feel for you brother. I am so glad you didn’t sink beneath your character to seek control or revenge. We might be dealing with a lot more to unpack if we leveled with people like this. My ex also had an affair with a co worker. You can feel the change in them when it’s happening but you bypass your intuition for the sake of love and trust. I truly am hoping and praying for all of you fellow men like myself that have gone through something similar. I pray that you regain trust in your god given intuition again, that you forgive as Jesus did, not for just them but for yourself first and foremost, and I hope that you all choose to believe in a love that can hold a person with love and faith as you once did.
This got me fired up in the best way. I’ve spent so much time being a passive husband. But now I get “why” it’s a trap I fall in to. I appreciate the breakdown and message. Thank you!
Wives need to be loved.
Husbands need to be honoured.
Gratitude is the glue in a relationship.

They are simps and likely effeminate.

You my man are part of the silent majority of married men. I’ll pray for you brother. Keep God in your thoughts don’t let the darkness win.
Brother he is not speaking directly to you. He's not blaming you for anything, he doesn't even know you.
Things were not perfect for them, but they complimented each other and stayed married
I don't think a relationship like that is possible in this day and age.
I anticipate Fr. Moses’ videos as though my favorite band is coming out with a new album. Absolute bangin’ truth every single video!

Sociological reasons:
1. Secular, individualist-based, competitive society based on ungrounded classical liberal values.
2. Materialist presuppositions for human "value" as the roots of the modern attitude of the social sciences to persons, such like the 'homo-economicus.'
Wow, your comment is awesome 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Very short and accurate observation of modern stuff ✅✅😥🚨

@Creedonator that's true. I agree.

I’m trying really hard to lead my family.
Thank you for your insight Fr. Moses, you hit every nail on the head.
i might not be an Orthodox Christian or very deep into my faith yet, but your videos help everytime i see them.

"Happy wife, happy life" is poisonous to a marriage. The phrase never sat well with me and this confirms my feelings.
This is very tragic and sad…

Perfect timing. God bless you Father! Thank you so much.
@@edm-london1660thank you. Hope you have a good wife 🙏
@@edm-london1660Yes in an authoritarian way. Authority means exactly that. Same with obedience. Humor and kindness won't solve a disagreement. Authority and submission will. Meaning the wife ought to submit to the authority of the husband at all times.
Father, bless. You've been watched in Serbia. You're awesome!
Great insight thanks for sharing. Rev. Moses, man need to stand up. May God help us!
I hope he see this one here and comments. I feel the same way it's hard to navigate it.
You can't lead unless the wife submits. Imagine a company where no one submits to the boss.
Women have always wanted that kind of man. Female programming has never changed in the entire history of the world.
authority does not ask to be "allowed," bud, you've got it all wrong.

Fr Moses this video was excellent and you covered a lot of ground quick. This could definitely be broken down into a series.
Great video!! God bless!!
Men are running from working hard because you work hard and give all your money to women in marriage or through taxes or through divorce. Also, you work incredibly hard, and then the job goes to a female DEI hire anyways There’s literally no incentive.
