When he moved in close, the bokeh went from bokehlicious to bokeliciousosaurus-rex, KING of the bokehs. With that speedbooster, the f1.2 lens transformed into toniature madness.
what's sad is ..not only do no camera systems have anything worth buying currently...but the old models are still insanely priced. The 5 year old Sony A7Siii is still $2600 (body only), and no modern camera does what it can do for slow motion or low light .....utterly ridiculous. I'm either sticking with new phones or getting a 5 year old flagship until things hopefully improve.
8:08 wow that autofocus is genuinely smooth. I have the EF 50mm f1.2L as well, paired to the Fuji X-S20 with the Fringer adapter and it never focuses that smoothly. It always focuses using pulsating steps. I also have the Viltrox speed booster and it's significantly worse than the Fringer. If I hadn't seen this moment with my own eyes I would have been convinced this old lens is incapable of smoothly racking focus.
The C70 has so much better dynamic range than the Z6 III. It's most evident I'm the shadows on your face. I think the R6 III will be great, but I'm a Canon fanboy. Side rant: you'll always struggle with color grading with that lighting. The red background seems to reflect all the way to your face. Turn it down a notch. 👍🏿
What new features would you want in a ZV-E2? 6.2k open gate? The autofocus already works. So does the 4k 120p. You can bake in LUTs so you don't even need to edit on a computer. I'm sure they'll put in something new we "need" I'm just not sure what that could be.
Now let’s talk about the market share of all three camera makers, Canon leads with 46.5%, followed by Sony at 27.9%, and Nikon at 11.3%. Overall, Canon and Sony again lead the market, and Nikon needs to introduce a more creator-friendly lineup and advanced compacts to gain more market share.
I expect Nikon will rule 2025, the z8 is amazing, z9 ii is incoming, z6 iii decent and who knows what from the red side of thing maybe RED R3D by way of firmware would blow the doors off the mirrorless video market. Sony will be strong as always, Canon have lost their way so who knows.
Your skin tone look weird to you (only you). But us black people love Nikon skin tones... THANKS NIKON for thinking of us without really thinking of us 😂😂
I have high hopes for Sony this year. It is possible they could release a dozen super tele's this year and then, maybe, they can be in the conversation with Nikon for best wildlife gear for the first time ever. All Sony has to do is release a 100-300 f2.8, 300 f4, 200-400 f4 TC, 400 f2.8 TC, 400 f4/4.5, 500 f4, 500 f5.6, 600 f4 TC, 600 f5.6/6.1, 800 f5.6, 800 f6.3/7.1, a better 100-400, a better 200-600, a better 1.4x TC, and a better 2.0x TC. That's all. Just release all that in 2025 and then maybe I'll go back to Sony.
I expect Z9ii to be released or announced by the end of 2025, with a Z5ii soon before or after. I still doubt a flagship apsc will come. Lens wise, i hope they make an affordable 85mm 1.4 z
im so happy I ditched my Canon 80d back in 2017 & got my a6500 ,ive been invested in Sony ever since including buying an a7riii in 2018 & in 2025 , wow so many lenses available , the newer Sony cameras both full frame & APS-C are everything id ever want & more . The amount of 3rd party lenses are incredible & im spoiled for choice on my options especially as I don't have a grand or two for a lens . the A7V & A7sIV or Fx camera with built in ND I think will put Sony top of the tree for sure when its released this year
can anyone who knows something tell me if lens sharpness even matters when filming 4k? aren’t all modern lenses sharp enough to at least resolve something as low-res as 4k? don’t you need like at least 30MP to start noticing lens sharpness difference with modern higher end lenses?
I know you're not a fan of the micro 4/3, however, I do think the Panasonic GH7 is a very interesting camera. I don't think that I would ever use pro res raw however, I do like the Arri log. Color profile I would like your opinion on that camera and that profile. Maybe you can get a hold of one just for testing. I don't know, but I do think that it would be better than the C70. I understand the c70s and Netflix approved camera, but that only means so much in my books and it being a super 35 versus the micro 4/3. Not too much difference there. As far as depth of field is concerned. You could probably find a lens for the micro 4/3 and I know that you're a big fan of lenses and micro 4/3 lenses are a lot cheaper. I don't think you should discount this. Gerald undone did a video on the gh6 and he said micro 4/3 is dead. I don't think Michael 4/3 is dead. I think that it does have its place and I think that if you compare the stabilization and you're also a big fan of the slow-mo, I think you should explore that camera. There is no perfect camera, but honestly I think the gh7 is about as close as a professional UA-camr would get. We're not shooting movies. We're just shooting UA-cam videos and you're all about stabilization slow-mo footage. I think Panasonic deserves the second look. Tell me your thoughts
I have hopes for Nikon. At some point the Red tech will work its way into the regular cameras and then Nikon will rule the world. Back in the days of prehistory, Nikon invented the F mount and made all the best lenses and cameras. Nikon was for the smart people and everything else was for the dimwits. Resting on their laurels for far too long they were lapped by Canon and then Sony. All they need to do is use the superior tech they bought and we will come running back to our first love, waving wads of cash and pleading for more.
Let's be real. Fuji won't release anything major soon, they are slowing down their release cycles. Panasonic is due for s1ii Nikon is due for their entry levels and z7iii Canon? Probably won't release any hybrid this year OM? Haha, they are just recycling Sony is probably the most update from a7V, a7s4, etc
This the problem with Canon mirrorless right now either fat expensive lenses or cheapo 1.8 lenses with funny image quality and holy shit there is no third party. If Canon offered like Nikon Z lower tier lenses the Z 1.8S and the new 1.4s I would gladly switch to Canon. But now HELL NO.
Paying $5,000 for a camera for UA-cam. Not including the lens. Seems like budget Overkill. You did bring up a lot of other things like lighting, microphones. There are a lot of factors on top of buying the initial camera. We need someone to test more budget alternatives, things that don't cost a lot of money and give you the best Pro results Panasonic gh7 before. I need an honest UA-camr to test this camera to see if it is just hype or if it's the real thing. I know that stabilization. Slow motion . 3d pop is important to you. I love when dooshtubers use the worst, slowest lenses to complain about AF. Then compare them to the best lenses from another company. This is why nobody takes you seriously. The Fuji as well. That 35 1.4 is the worst focusing lens they have probably.
The older lenses are actually more reliable, the new ones hunt more. None of them are smooth and you lose all the pop, so you have literally no argument lol.
@ have you tried all the lenses? The 1.4 lenses are basic stepping motors. S line lenses are faster in every way. Maybe watch some videos on how to setup AF on Nikon cameras. And how to use NLog. You can’t set up all manufacturers the same way. You never say what your settings are in detail. I get the engagement farming but again, damn.
@@JET-Photo Maybe try them yourself, and watch other people's videos shot with these lenses. I reviewed the 18mm f1.4 it lost me quite a bit, and many people shoot with these modern lenses and they are hunting all the time. Go watch Philip Peck's videos, constant hunting on his modern lens. Not sure why you're being an asshole telling me nobody takes me serious, when it's your advice that is wrong. The 85mm f1.2 S lens lost me a lot and has a flat rendering. My settings are perfect for not hunting, -1 speed, 5 tracking. Changing anything causes Nikon to lose me, I've experimented a lot.

DJI is in L mount alliance so they'd be using L mount if they were to in mirrorless market

Easily the Sony. That Nikon has no stabilization
