INFP 4w5 -> I tend to be a bit more analytical than INFPs are usually described. However, it’s pretty common for INFPs to be 4s and both types have a lot of overlap.
MBTI: INTJ, INTP, INFJ are the rarest personality types. The whole comment section: INTJ, INTP, INFJ. No wonder our social life basically means social media.
@@acez2331 actually, because they are the rarest types, they are the most likely to look for personality types as a way to relate to people because they feel ostracized and like they can't relate to others. They are also all introverted. This leads to a high population of those types in UA-cam comments of MBTI videos, especially the videos of an INFJ like Frank here.
@@uprisingsun9105 yeah, I feel like the rare types are more likely to feel misunderstood so they get into this stuff to try to understand themselves - intp

Yeah. This is what I’m concerned about with my INTJ friend... who might not really see me as a friend, just more like an associate. Or maybe that wasn’t a real conflict though, and I’m just overthinking. 🤔 Hi. I’m INFP. ☺️

@@dctdude3342 9w4 isn’t possible because your wing can only be a number next to your main number. 9w8 or 9w1. This video won’t type you. It’s just about the MBTI types likely to identify with enneagram types.
The Enneagram was designed to show how our personalities developed in relation to how we were raised and what trauma we experienced. The Meyers-Briggs was designed to show how our brains are naturally wired. Anyone can experience any trauma, so instead of looking at what types act more like certain Enneagram #s, we should instead focus on what caused us to adopt these survival strategies, and how our MBTIs were subtly affected
Yes, the correlations are not exact and enneagram seems to be affected a lot more by the conditions you were growing in or even are now (FJ makes a point about mothers in type 2, and I'd imagine other types of life changes can force adoption of new motivations and strategies). So while there are preferences, there probably are some representatives of all MBTI-enneagram type combinations.
Type 1: Introverted Sensing (kind of) Type 2: Extroverted Feeling Type 3: Anyone who is ambitious/driven Type 4: Introverted Feeling Type 5: Introverted Thinking Type 6: Supposedly the most common type, seeks constant love from others Type 7: Extroverted Sensing Type 8: Extroverted Thinking Type 9: Avoids conflict at all costs
Type 1 is more TeFi axis, and 6 seeks *reaffirmation*, not necessarily love, the ones that are warm and friendly (Self-Preservation subtypes, more precisely) do so to garner protection and seek seccurity in loyal connections n stuff. Type 7 is more extraverted perceiving functions in general (ExxP types), tbh Se is way more type 8 than 7 given this type's fixation on "planning", that as specified by Naranjo, refers to this type's tendency to neglect action in imagination and gluttonous antecipation, contrasting woth 8's presence and immediate reactiveness. Not all ambitious/driven people are 3s, but rather those who use ambition to have success and create an image of achievement that gets them external validation and recognition.

@@fairyfellermasterstroke uh, I don't know if I'm truly able to explain it, especially 'cause my spoken/written English is not excellent. Well, I am always analyzing. What I see, what I hear, I read... Sometimes it's in an active way, others in a more unconscious one, but I realize my mind always do it. Facts, things, behaviors... I rationalize everything, I compare it with what I know, I then very often "see" the implications of what I'm observing in the future. I mean... For every action, for every event, I realize I generally find myself inevitably foreseeing the possible outcomes, and to "select" the most likely amongst them. Sometimes I verbalize my thoughts, sometimes things come to my mind as a sort of "illumination". Same in problem solving. I don't know how to explain it, but I often find out the way in a intuitive way, as if there's a part of my mind that sees better or think faster than the conscious one. It's not uncommon that when I find difficult to find a solution while concentrated on it after stopping actively thinking the solution clearly appears, easy as it was under my nose. I don't know if it is what you wanted to know, I'm sorry if I missed the point. I must say it is sometimes hard 'cause I lose myself so often in thoughts, about the most different things (from science to literature, from cinema to music, from funny things to very serious), that time passes without realizing it.
Perhaps maybe I am too, I initially thought I was a 9 because of laziness but then I started seeing things of the 4 in myself, but nowadays I just feel too cynical and rational from a typical INFJ but I'm still not INTJ because those functions doesn't make sense either
Interesting, INFJ and INTJ seem so different in person. Yes their Ni must be that significant but the differences in their Fe vs Fi and Te vs Ti is imo a dead giveaway when differentiating between INxJs I'm an INFJ 5w4 too and I'm more likely to be a mistyped INTP because I seem to have high Ti use.
Whole comment section: *talking about MBTI* Me: Man I appreciate how Frank warns when an AD is coming up(and thanks us for sitting through it right afterwards LMAO), legit no other UA-camr that I watch does it and it's amazing how it doesn't feel like it's interrupting the video at all. Thanks Frank, really appreciate it! :D INFJ gang!
@@chhavisukriti2237 That’s exactly the sentiment which I was looking for. I think that the problem with getting too invested in MBTI is that people will start to look at very specific individual acts and say “Aha! That’s because you’re XXXX. And it becomes more about trying to categorize and “understand” things jn a bit of a superficial way. Also, every single comment is “As an XXXX, I think this.
“TJ’s say they don’t like conflict but somehow run into conflict” as someone who’s an INTJ 1w9 I can confirm that no matter what I do I somehow get into drama that ends up being a waste of my time
I was in the same boat. But it's probably because no one expects contemplative people to be the mediator very often, or listen. So when people see that, they all want to get validation from you because it would serve their side. But no one likes truth, so you spill it and then everyone is mad at you. Right? I could be projecting, I've just been there so often.
As someone who isn't TJ (but my most likely judging type is INTJ 🤔) I think this is most people. Most people dislike drama (unless it's internet drama where they either are an outsider or despise one or more parties who f---ed around and found out) but if you frequently interact with people, you'll often encounter it. My mom is likely an INxJ and she can't STAND drama outside of reality TV (which is her guilty pleasure, she's otherwise a natural intellectual) but it's always happening in groups she's part of and she's complaining to me "these are people my age and they're acting like it's middle school"
@@_lil_lilI'm an INFJ who can't stand drama of any kind, including on TV, so I avoid those trashy reality TV shows like the plague. Just as bad as the news for me 😂
That's me! INFP/9w1 Although as I've aged and done a lot of personal growth work my personality is more apparent. I've developed better boundaries and self+care. I test closely on 2 and 4 as well, but when I look at the wounding, fear and motivation associated with 9s (which I feel is comparable to ilooking at the cognitive functions vs just a test w/ 16 Personalities) I am definitely a 9.
I’m the exact same!! Trying to work on myself and showing who I really am… because I get upset when people don’t “get” me even though it’s my own fault for not letting them in 😂
Fun fact! 2 actually takes on some negative traits of 8 when stressed and some positive traits of 4 when secure and healthy. That's what the arrows and connecting lines on the Enneagram mean.
My thoughts: Type 1- Ni (always thinking of how’s things should be) Type 2- Fe (always caring for others) Type 3- Te (high achievers) Type 4 - Fi (deep feelers) Type 5- Ti (deep thinkers) Type 6- Si (traditional/loyal/always prepared) Type 7- Ne (wanting to experience and learn about everything) Type 8 - Se (extreme sensation seekers/always reacting in the moment) Type 9- any type cuz they deny their type
So basically type 6 is Ni type, which makes more sense. It's like intj are known to be stuck on conspiracy theories and being type 6 practically means same. They have to have N to create assumptions. They have trust problems. I have troubles explaining it but I understand it...
INFJ type 9w1 here! I mean when I think about it, it just makes sense. Conflict avoidance, a bit of a perfectionist, trying to fall into the background and have the least amount of negative impact as possible, feeling upset when witnessing people being treated unfairly, being generally polite and spacing out into our own world a lot of the time.... yeah, it just kinda makes a lot of sense.
INFJ 4w5. Love the video Frank. I am creative, like a fair share of solitude and am drawn to psychology. Years ago when I was first introduced to the Enneagram and read the description for my type, I cried. Relieved that there was an explanation for how I experience life. Thank you for making the connection between the Enneagram and MBTI. More videos focused on this would be great!
I am an INFJ 4w5 too and as well I'm drawn to psychology.First time I got into it was because of Tarot cards,I started reading about Carl Jung and watching videos on YT.Looking forward to continue my studies in psychology.

I love how the Enneagram gives a vertical "how are you" spectrum as well as a horizontal "who are you" one. The so called "Levels of Integration" give amazing insight into how people act at different stages of mental and emotional health. I like to think of the MBTI as the General Relativity and the Enneagram as the Quantum Mechanics of personality. They show who we are outside in and inside out.
I mean, if you dig in to the MBTI framework (including things like grips, loops, integration, etc), it definitely goes beyond a big picture look. But you’re definitely right about the Enneagram.
I'm an INFP and I got type 5. Ideas and abstract thoughts are everything to me, but my approach to thinking may be more feeling driven than I previously believed😅 I always thought I was really logical, but no one could ever follow along even if they agreed with my conclusions, then I learned about the Ne and Fi cognitive functions and it all made sense.

You probably find yourself trying to mediate between 2 or more people several times, you do not like fights, the 9 in the enneagram are those people who try to mediate between two people to avoid fights and conflicts, that is something particularly great, you should to be proud 👏👏
I have always known that the Enneagram Type 9 would most likely include an INFP (me). I recently confirmed my type (9) and bascially found out my core personality--an overthinker but keeps it all in and avoids conflict whenever possible. A ticking time-bomb in the making.
INFP 9. I've read somewhere that 9's have the hardest time typing themselves correctly. I can say for sure this is 10000% true. I used to think I was a 5, but only after reading a lot more into it did I realize this was not the case. There were qualities in all types I could be like "Yeah, some of that fits" (obviously some less than others). It's been about a half a year since I've started looking into personality stuff that I can now be pretty sure that I'm a 9 through and through.
Why do 9s have the hardest time typing themselves? I don’t know much about 9s, but I see that 6s will type themselves as anything except 6. Coming from someone who mistyped as 9, 4, and 7. And I can see it with the 6’s constantly questioning everything and having doubts.
@@yourself8184 Yeah, I've read 6's have a hard time too. The single biggest issue for us 9's stems from our need to keep the harmony and cohesion of the group can basically lead to a bit of an identity crises once we eventually decide to actually address what we do to ourselves. It's basically a part of our nature to modify and/or adapt our identity to match our surroundings in order to avoid conflict. We then form multiple perspectives (different from multiple personalities) within our personality as a result making the distinction of who we really are a bit harder at times (the longer we've worn each mask, the harder it becomes). But, it allows us to effectively be a social chameleon of sorts to suit different groups. We can essentially assume the characteristics of all the other types depending on the situation at hand and our frame of mind at the time. This is how I understand it at least. I hope that answered your question.
I thought I was a 4w5 for quite a while too. Something just didn’t feel right, but when I finally found 9, it just felt so much better. Still struggled with wings for a bit though, felt INFP 9w1 fit most comfortably

MBTI: ENFP Enneagram: 4w5 I was hesitant to watch this video simply because I assumed Frank would be pairing specific Myers Briggs personalities with Enneagram ones, but he didn't do that! I always hate it when people try to do that because personalities are so much more complex than that. And Frank did a good job explaining that and showing how different personalities MAY correlate. I feel like my MBTI personality type is a very good description of how I behave around others and where I tend to get my energy (although, there have been a few times when I've been moody and tested as a INFP). But the Enneagram really describes what's going on in my inner world. Kind of the more introverted side of my personality (I'm only 50-60% extroverted anyways). I love your videos, Frank! Keep making the incredible content you've been putting out since day 1! 🙃
Oh wow, as an INTP 4w5 I clicked on the video thinking the same thing. But he did a good job comparing the two as a way to explain what the different types are.
Thank you for clarifying that Type 4 can be mapped with NTs as well. I am an INTP, Type 4. I have been trying to understand how that is possible since everywhere on the internet it says that the combo is unlikely. You are awesome, thanks!
@@dctdude3342 Frank only talked about being a probability, nothing is impossible here. I recommend you read the type descriptions on the enneagram institute website and see if you identify with the motivation of 9s and 4s, don't worry about wings at first.
I'm an INFP but also a 7. So I'm constantly conflicted over taking things slow and enjoying what I have but also trying not to miss stuff and take every opportunity I get. I have always felt this way and had no clue why I was an introvert but always wanted to go out and do fun things. I just recently discovered The Ennegram types and it makes so much more sense. I would love more videos on the Ennegram types!
I feel your confusion. As someone who's extremely comfortable being alone, but is very extroverted around company, I used to believe I was an INTP based off of the online tests and because the lettering typology by itself describes me fairly well. But the supposed lack of 'introverted feeling' and expressiveness characterised by INTPs was what always threw me off. After understanding MBTI functions and the Enneagram, I realized i'm actually an ENFP 5w6. I was just very emotionally/socially underdeveloped as a kid due to poor circumstances lol.
@@TestTest-dd4qb It's definitely possible, but very rare. The enneagram is more based off life circumstances rather than core personality. Perhaps OP felt deprived as a child, and might be motivated to seek out pleasure and novel experiences despite their personality not indicating such an inclination. I've noticed this trend in more ambiguous MBTI types, like those who might consistently type as INFP/INTP or ESTP/ESTJ. Or even strong NT types with weak Introverted and Perceiving traits, for example.
Its 100 percent possible for Ixxps. Just rarer. I've seen wierder though but I've seen this combo before. Its just on the rarer side. It dosent conflict anything like a Esfj 5. It just means you have a higher developed Ne than most infps. You may be a Ne dom introvert. Its possible.
You know what? Forget it. Never mind what I said. Life's too short to let myself be defined by some pseudoscientific nonsense. Personally, I think that the reason it's hard to fit a person neatly into any of these categories is because human personalities aren't so static and definable. People change all the time. And why is it that _everyone_ on this channel is a freaking INFP? They're like, the second worst personality. Sensitive crybabies, the whole lot of you.
INTP and most probably enneagram 5 here. At first I thought I was a 4 because I discovered the enneagram during a very dark time of my life and I think 4s, 5s and even 9s have a lot of things in common so it's easy to get mistyped. I learnt about the dynamics between the types and that's when I realized number 5 fitted me the most. Although I prefer to present myself as an INTP rather than Enneagram 5 because the mbti speaks to me in a much more personal level. I don't quite love how some reduce the 5s to the "cerebral type", I think I feel as much as I think, and I think a lot.

I am a INTJ 5w6 sp/sx 513. I'd love to see more enneagram content. When I here type 1 I think of XSTJ types. But can be any MBTI and any enneagram these are just typically what I think of.

Because we people love being able to see and understand ourselves and others from different perspectives.
I'm an ISFJ and am type 9. I literally have no opinion, or if I do and know it will be an opposing opinion, I don't share it so as to avoid conflict at all costs. 🙃 I'm always go with the flow.
I am an INFP and my top three results were 4, 5, and 7 in that order. 4 makes sense to me personality wise. 5 makes sense since I am studying archives/library science. 7 was kinda weird and not super clear but I could see it.
I am an INFJ but typed as a 1. I have to have a pretty dominant 9 though. Conflict makes me nervous. Which is funny when I am disagreeing with another INFJ. We argue SO POLITELY!😂😂😂
INFJ 2w1. Sometimes it feels like there’s an entire world of emotion and care inside me that people can’t see. But I’m also appreciative of the relationship I have with my own emotions! Thanks for another great video Frank 💞
I’m an INFJ 2w1 as well. It’s a hard type to be, at least for me. I rely so much on being needed that it’s easy to feel empty and obsolete. I don’t agree with the way he made us seem selfishly motivated though. I mean yeah it does have something to do with how it makes us feel, but we enjoy seeing other people happy because of our help too
INFP here, being categorized as Type 4 is very, very fitting to me personally... and I realized I couldn't lie to myself while answering the questions honestly and ended up feeling a little disappointed in myself being a Type 4 but relieved in how how many other people are this way too for personality reasons.
More enneagram content please! My take: Type 1: IxTJs most likely, then ExTJs and IxFJs. And no, IxFP 1s are not unheard of, when isolated, Fi is the most 1 like function. The only issue is, when it's the dominant function, it's accompanied by an extroverted perception function which isn't very 1 like. For this reason, Fi child users are the most common type to be 1s. Type 2: xxFJs. A lot of ExFPs claim to be 2s as well, but I think they're usually just social 7s Type 3: ExTJs most likely, runner-ups are INTJs and, in contrast to stereotypes, ExxPs. Type 4: IxFPs first, ENFPs and INFJs next. A lot of the INFJ fours, however, are mistyped IxFPs. Type 5: IxTx types. The concentration of Ti doms and INTJs in this one type is absurd (and possibly exaggerated). Type 6: Most variable, but ISxJs first followed by xSTPs. The counterphobic sixes tend to be the latter (sexual subtype, typically). Type 7: ExxPs. ISTPs and ENxJs 7s are two very distinct and interesting groups that aren't all too rare either. Type 8: ExTJs, then ExTPs, than ISTPs. ISFPs 8s are another very distinct group that is more common than people think (and contrary to stereotypes). Make great protagonists/antagonists in stories. Type 9: IxFJs and IxxPs, for different reasons. This is why 9s are said to have the most internal diversity. An ISFJ 9 is not going to be much like an INTP 9.
This is so accurate cuz I'm an INFP and my enneagram is type 9 but 4 is also a close second (I personally don't think I'm that much of a type 4 but the tests say it so)
INFP 9w1! I would love to see more enneagram content, both systems are so fascinating and showcase different parts of ourselves (cognition vs fears/desires) 😋
“Trying to bring people together.” Type 9 Peacemaker for harmony makes so much sense now! INFP, 9w1 Peacemaker-wingReformer on the Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicator, One-to-One instinct/subtype, guessing from Enneagram Institute 459 Heart/Head/Gut Center tritype though I haven’t read about that yet.
I’m an INFJ and the results for my most accurate, relatable types from the test are 98% like a Two, 97% like a Four, and 92% like a Six. Everything else was below 90%.
I'm INTP 9w1 ;) (952 tritype) my type 9 and type 5 actually 50/50 but more like 1% more type 9. 😂😂😂 I think it's common for INTP to have 5w4 because as stereotypes intps are thinkers.
Type 9 seems to resonate with me the most. Kept mistyping as 5 and 4 for a while (as well as INTP and INFJ) and thought it was weird because some people said the whole emotional harmony thing isn't an INFP thing at all, but what I found out was that it can be quite the opposite. Felt fake countless times and to be honest, it's always easier just going along with what others want and changing colors whenever criticized.
Its so true😭 you are correct. I just took the test, came out as 416. I dont know much about the tritypes cause i just started the test maybe 2 hours ago but i know a lot about mbti and the functions because i find a lot of fun through studying that. You said 4"s are NF types. I am INFP and perhaps i am 416 as well. I tried my best to answer truthfully in all areas without hesitation like it told me but sometimes i forgot about hesitation and wanted to make it the most correct, either way i think i did the best i could with it. I take the tests seriously to end up with accurate results.
ENTPs’ heart is seriously underrated! They are usually depicted as some heartless assholes who does things just because of pure wonder, and don’t really care much about what people feel as long as they are enjoying… ok, I worded that pretty badly but anyway, ENTPs are more than their lust for new discovery/things, they also have great empathy and want the world to be a better place for everybody, that’s why they constantly look for improvements that can be done, they stay neutral as much as possible to see both sides of the coin before stating their opinion or making a decision that would involve other people, they also feel responsible for the experience, or feelings of other people and would always try to find things/ways that would make people around them feel and experience better. ENTPs are more selfless than most people think they are, they are willing to fight a powerful body if they know that it would benefit/free an oppressed body. When an ENTP is in tune with their 'caring' side, they may be mistyped as an F-J, INFJ seems to be a frequent one to appear. I’m happy to see your comment! I don’t see much ENTPs speaking more about their caring side or something similar. I’m an ENTP too and got an ENFJ on a personality test online about 5 days ago, my friend and I were trying to figure out the types of the people we know, they already did some test here and there but I’m certain that they got missed typed because tests are usually inaccurate, anyway, long story short, he made me do a test and I got ENFJ… which is quite far from my actual type. In general, ENTPs are quite tricky to type because they generally want to focus on everything and so they kinda have many 'personalities' that seem different with one another in order to attend to the many things that they want to do (this is a seed to perfectionism that has a tendency to become paralyzing, thus, the "lazy" stereotype we get). My eneagram type is actually 1w9 which is also uncommon to see with ENTPs. My type is most likely due to my potential tendency to lean on my shadow which is an INTJ... well this is just what I think, I can't really consciously switch, but what I'm certain with is my perfectionism and I -love- like rules as long as they are actually useful and helpful for the common, so contrary with our stereotypes, we also like boundaries as long as it don't prevent our grow, and don't oppress anybody. Edit: I accidentally pressed post while typing so... yeah, thanks for listening (reading) to my Ted Talk XD
INFJ (borderline INTJ) and I got 1 on the test. I took it a little personally that I didn't get a 2. I'm a mom, I'm a teacher and pretty much all day everyday I'm happily taking care of others 😂. Excuse me while I contemplate my entire life.
I've always been comfortable as an INTP 5w6, but I think you made me question whether I may be a type 9. I always keep my personality hidden as much as possible and try to shape it to match the (perceived) situation and the people around me, and I try my damnedest to avoid conflict. But I think the difference lies in my motivation for such behavior. I don't necessarily want others to approve of me or to keep emotional harmony. It's just incredibly inconvenient and annoying when people are angry/upset with me or someone else or when they hold a grudge against me, and it sparks some repressed, deep-seated insecurities when I perceive myself as having failed or disappointed someone, insecurities that I'd prefer to stay bottled away so I don't have to think about them.
@@navilahauva3591 I am INTP and the test said: tri type 516, or 6w5. Which is more like INTJs, even at the test I saw some questions and said in my mind like: "The INTJ would go with that choice but not me". I feel like XNTX types are between 5 and 6, and also between 9 and 1, espically the INTX. But I still can't find any enneagram type is more accurate to my personality, but MBTI does. Maybe because MBTI has 16 types rather than 9. And, logically the more types there are, the more accuarte it is. Like if we divide people into 2 groups according to traits/ signs, people on that group won't be more like each other comparing to if we divided them into 100 groups based on more traits and signs they share with each other.
My INTJ: Let's overthink everything and try to figure out ourselves and the world and the future and let's be prepared for any and all circumstances. My 5w4: ...If you're waiting for me to disagree, we're gonna be here for a long time
INTP - Definitely a 5w4 first, but I also hang out in 7 & 8, especially in my professional life. 3 of my 4 family members are 5s, but all a little different. My husband is INTJ, and definitely 5w6. My daughter is INT- but on the line between J and P... is closer to a 4w5, very artistic and craves being different. My son is still young, and I'm having a hard time typing him. He hangs out in ENFP/ENTP land most, but sometimes I see him INFP. He is our peacemaker. A 9 for sure.
I think this will be the video that helps me either have confidence in my type (ENTP), or could potentially throw me into a loop (of self discovery, possible existential crisis for how I've lived and perceived it, and more discovery of me). I'm a 3w2.
I've taken the 16 personalities test 3 times with over a year between each time, and I've always gotten ISFP, which honestly feels right to me. Also, one time i took an enneagram test and it said I'm a 9 wing 1, so what you said in this video fits perfectly for me, i feel very related to the description you gave
I'm an infp 4w5 469 and I got different results when I test for enneagram between 4 and 9 and I always preferred to be 9 because I felt like 4s are just over dramatic depressed people but I read deeper into these types and realized the truth of 4s and 9s and I saw that I was clearly a type 4 but because I am kind of a people pleaser and I avoid conflict I confused that with being a type 9. I mean I have them both in my tritype definitely but my actual main personality is definitely 4. Also I would loooove to see more enneagram content from you
@@sunnie8954 you can't have that, wings are supposed to be the one beside your type, like 4w5 or 4w3, you can have both high enneagram score to the two, but it's not your wing.
Yeah I'm ISFP 4w3 and what he was describing was clearly Fi so I find it odd that ISFP was left out since it's one of the two dominant Fi types. Don't necessarily wanna call out intuitive bias but...
@@Maggie-Gelderblom ISFP 4 is common but it is in no way the most common MBTI for type 4, nor is type 4 the most common Enneatype for ISFP. ISFP 9 and 6 are extremely more common, and so is INFx for type 4. Not everything is intuitive bias.
I took the test and got 100% on the 9, peacemaker. MBTI used to be INFP originally in my 20s, as I recall. I'm 42 now and have been scoring as INFJ over the past decade or so. I also scored as ISFJ once and INTJ once recently when I was going through a deep depression (probably not thinking straight). I think I can relate to the idea of being a peacemaker type. Actually, a psychic friend once told me I had the gift of peace, back when I was 21 years old. I often feel a deep conflict within myself, though, when I really want to speak my mind about something I don't like, vs. staying quiet so I don't offend the other person. It's hard. I guess that can piggieback onto one of your other videos about the MBTI types being bullied. The INFJ just stands there, staring. I actually did that once when someone was talking to me. She just kept talking and talking, however, and not going away like in your video, lol... I'm still kinda angry that she didn't appear to be catching on that I hated her so much. >.

This felt so spot on! I'm an ISFP type 9 and this fits pretttty well. I think because people expect us to stand out in our tastes and aesthetics, they kinda forget the more laid back elements

I’ve typed as both INFJ & ENFJ on different tests at different times in my life. @@gabriellebarnard707 I think that the comment was about the instinctual variants (social, sexual and self-preservation) not about tritypes. There are 27 types because it's really different a 6sp from a 6sx and some like a 4sx can look like an 8 if you don't consider instinctual variants.
i’m ENFJ and last time i took the enneagram test i got type 8, and i still see those characteristics in me, but less about bossing people around and more just having control over my own life by having those leadership qualities
Yes also I am a 2w3 (typical enfj description) and the corrolation is the unhealthy 8. So I tent to be all independent and strong and saying shit like I don't need anyone. But that is a coping meganism when people dissapoint me and have trust issues. I also strongly relate to my 3 wing because I am very ambitious and goal oriented. The 3 can also appear like an 8. And last but not least. There are a lot of enfj's that are 9's and you could have a strong wing 8. So there are 3 other options. Best to type yourself by your fears/weaknesses otherwise you can relate to almost all. And latest option is you haven't typed yourself by cognitive functions but by doing a test. And you might not be an enfj but an entj for instance (tests are more likely to look at letters instead of functions so the T and F can easily be mixed up). Entj's are mostly linked to 8's.

I'm INTJ 8w7, although due to being the Self-Preservation subtype, can easily be mistaken as a Five. My primary fear/motivation in life is one of protecting my autonomy.
Fives are usually more about privacy and setting boundaries so they aren't over-exerted by having too many demands and responsibilities placed on them. Eights are much more direct in this regard. They directly concern themselves with their freedom and preventing themselves being controlled and subjugated
INTJ Type 5 with a strong 4 wing. I love the enneagram for how it helps me recognize my fears, my hunger to acquire knowledge and books, and it was the first to tell me my feeling of isolation was more self-fulfilling than necessary . While I love what MBTI helps me recognize, I don’t fit many of the stereotypes (I have borne my husband 7 children and I’m going for a masters in counseling); saying I have a “4 wing” gets a lot of my softer side across in a few words. The enneagram even helps explain what happens to me when I get commanding like an 8 (my Ne coming out?) or just want to bury myself in fun distraction (Fi?).

So interesting I'm an Enfp with a 4 ennegram.. what you said was so fitting

Type 9: Avoids conflict at all costs

Just wondering - can you explain how you see yourself using Ni? I just wanna see in what way people understand mbti

Fun fact! 2 actually takes on some negative traits of 8 when stressed and some positive traits of 4 when secure and healthy. That's what the arrows and connecting lines on the Enneagram mean.
My thoughts:
Type 1- Ni (always thinking of how’s things should be)
Type 2- Fe (always caring for others)
Type 3- Te (high achievers)
Type 4 - Fi (deep feelers)
Type 5- Ti (deep thinkers)
Type 6- Si (traditional/loyal/always prepared)
Type 7- Ne (wanting to experience and learn about everything)
Type 8 - Se (extreme sensation seekers/always reacting in the moment)
Type 9- any type cuz they deny their type
Type 8 is definitely Te, very exxj like, they are bossy, the leaders.
Type 7 definitely Se - they basically synonyms to an ESFPs, it's like their middle name
I would say type 1 is an Si type, rules and order is everything for them, they like systems and structure.
So basically type 6 is Ni type, which makes more sense. It's like intj are known to be stuck on conspiracy theories and being type 6 practically means same. They have to have N to create assumptions. They have trust problems. I have troubles explaining it but I understand it...

I was hesitant to watch this video simply because I assumed Frank would be pairing specific Myers Briggs personalities with Enneagram ones, but he didn't do that!

I have always felt this way and had no clue why I was an introvert but always wanted to go out and do fun things. I just recently discovered The Ennegram types and it makes so much more sense.
Cognitively Introverted types can't be 7s, it's in opposition to the descriptions of 7
@@TestTest-dd4qb It's definitely possible, but very rare.
My take:
Type 1: IxTJs most likely, then ExTJs and IxFJs.
A lot of ExFPs claim to be 2s as well, but I think they're usually just social 7s
Type 3: ExTJs most likely, runner-ups are INTJs and, in contrast to stereotypes, ExxPs.
I'm an INTP 4w5, which is very odd. My sister is an ESTP 8 (idk her wing), which I think fits perfectly

"the most common type 2s are the FJ types"
Me: *Laughs in ENTP 2w3*

I'm still kinda angry that she didn't appear to be catching on that I hated her so much. >.
i'm an infp 9w1 (926) and figuring out my enneagram type/other personality placements like being the phlegmatic temperament helped so much in understanding myself :) i find myself relating to a lot of aspects of characters or people in terms of enneagram and aspects other than just my mbti type, which has really broadened my horizons and validated my thought process and view of the world so it's super cool!!!

Omg I'm an 8w7
Me too 😑
Hurts but true. Another 8w7 .
Finally! Every time I look for enneagram 5 I come across INTPs, I’ve never found a single person like me that is a 5 - ISTP. Nailed it there.
As a 8w7 ENTP, I don't even know how I ended up this way, but I'm not complaining.
As an Entj 8w7 your words resonated 😂
Yeah as an INFJ 5 I feel like I was naturally a social hermit and felt drawn to libraries. I wasn’t really conditioned to be this way.
That's a rare core type for ENTPs. I've only met one ENTP who's 8w7. Acts almost like an ENTJ. Almost...

This felt so spot on! I'm an ISFP type 9 and this fits pretttty well. I think because people expect us to stand out in our tastes and aesthetics, they kinda forget the more laid back elements
I'm an INFP and honestly I'm torn beetwen 4, 5 and 9
Yeah, I'm a 4w5 but I definitely have some 9 elements as well.
I think you should study the tritype theory :) 459 is a possible tritype and it would explain why you relate to these three types. I'm personally a type 9, but I identify a lot to the type 3 too. That's because I'm 935
SAME, LITERALLY EXACTLY THE SAME. 4,5 and 9
I’ve typed as both INFJ & ENFJ on different tests at different times in my life. I recently took the enneagram test and my results are strongly #1 with #’s 4, 5 & 9 closely following. #’s 6&8 are next followed by a weak #7. Category #3 barely registers.
The whole thing is interesting. I’m in my early 50’s. I imagine life experience plays a role in my results. I’d love to find out what my results would have been when I was in my late 20’s.
ISTP 7 here. Introverted, doesn't like doing nothing because I'm impatient and get easily bored.
Bruh literally another ISTP and 7
I related to this so much
ISTP 7 here, too! We should start a club! Oh, wait, that involves people...ewww... :D
Infp here who's impatient and gets bored whenever doing something. I'm wasting my money on games I don't even finish or play only for a week.
@@JaneDoe-cz5oe Just checked this video out again after 2 years. Didn't even remember leaving a comment here. After having more understanding about the cognitive functions, especially intuition, it turns out I'm actually ENTP lmaoooo. Weird but my girlfriend made me realize my extraverted and intuitive tendencies. I'm pretty confident that I'm 7w8 though.

Slytherin, here.
INFJ, 8W7.

I love the way you talk about personality, the language you use and the way you say stuff is just so funny and insightful at the same time 😂 ENFJ type 9 here! I'm a social subtype 9 though which means I can look more like a 2 or 3, which would fit your interpretation :)

Yes 🙌🏽 Tritype is a great way to dive deeper into personality typing!
@@gabriellebarnard707 I think that the comment was about the instinctual variants (social, sexual and self-preservation) not about tritypes. There are 27 types because it's really different a 6sp from a 6sx and some like a 4sx can look like an 8 if you don't consider instinctual variants.
@@laomedeia5957 alright, thanks.
shall we include tritypes?
i’m ENFJ and last time i took the enneagram test i got type 8, and i still see those characteristics in me, but less about bossing people around and more just having control over my own life by having those leadership qualities
it could be possible, many enfjs are 8w9. however, tests aren't 100% reliable, the best option is to study enneagram by yourself
I'm an INFJ-T and yesterday I took a few test. One test said that I can be in 6,7, or 9. And another said my highest is 6..
To be honest I'm a bit torn between 6 and 9..but after several test said that I'm 6 I become more convinced that its true..
As for the wings.. Idk man.. I'm just torn.. But I think I more leaning to 6w7... but sometimes I'm afraid of new exciting things and kinda can predict sth bad will happen...
Thanks for those people who read my absurd rant.. Idk I can talk abt this to.. Since many people seem to more familiar with MBTI
INTJ and 8, most people think I’m an ENTJ
Edit: I’m also 11 so I’m kinda a mess

I’m an INTP Type 5w4. I would like to see more enneagram content from you, especially how it relates to the MBTI. My family and I are trying to enneagram type ourselves and struggling with a few people. I think understanding more about how MBTI relates to Enneagram will help us.
I'm also intp 5w4
@@0tuken982 Who cares, rando out there in the world?
I'm INTJ 8w7, although due to being the Self-Preservation subtype, can easily be mistaken as a Five. My primary fear/motivation in life is one of protecting my autonomy.
The fear of protecting your own autonomy is a 5 trait.
