This short was written by sallie mays va! It's so awesome to see a trans character simply be herself, and literally no one in the show judges or denies her identity. Absolutely loved thus short so much! Sallie is so chaotic and fun, plus she's so damn pretty!!! Her relationship with millie was adorable, her outfit was incredible, just everything about this was perfect!!!!
that's so awesome! I completely agree; having a trans character who's just as is and their being trans isn't used as a catalyst for drama in the show is so refreshing to see. I love her design and everything about this short, too
I didn't know her VA wrote this, that's awesome! No wonder it was so good, we just wanna live our best life and that was portrayed excellently, just two sisters bonding.
The fact she's trans has nothing to do with the short, you wouldn't even know if it weren't for the horns, and that's the rep we want.
Subtly let the audience know their trans but don't focus on it. We've had enough struggle stories, we need more it's accepted but unimportant stories.
I really hope she becomes a regular in the series, I'd love to see her make friends with Octavia and Luna, I can see the chaos and wholesomeness in those dynamics.
Plus I'm so gonna cosplay her in that outfit!

What does that mean? I think I have heard part of that but I don't think I have heard this whole version?
The original saying is, "Blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." This means that the bonds you form with your friends are stronger than those formed with your family. However, imo, that isn't always the case with everyone! Some people have no covenant, but a supportive family while others are vis versa, so I included both while talking about it in my outro ^^

Look at the spa they went to. Bathory's Day Spa. It's said that Elizabeth Bathory bathed in blood for its supposedly rejuvinating properties. Setting aside the fact that blood may have STDs in them, that is an amazing historical reference. Of course she'd have a spa in Hell, and that special mud probably has blood in it. I'd personally think she's an overlord with some vampiric theming as well. However, huge missed opportunity to call it Bathory's Baths.

what i love about the show is they are buidling such a good trans charaktere like she got personalyti. manny shows who just put the charecteres in for ther "quote" to say "hey we have a charakter who ist trans" and then the characters personality ist just "im trans". So im open for trans chars in series or movies just make them fell alive and not just "trans"

Hey, I am trans myself and I was wondering what it took to get you voice like that, I have been wondering where to start? You Sound Amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️😁😁😁😁
being enby, I just kinda talk the way I talk ^^' I have always had kind of a higher pitch voice and am actually trying to practice expanding my range deeping more so than raising it, buuuttt~
THAT SAID! I had to practice a LOT to get my voice to become capable of hitting pitches higher than my standard range and it took practicing expanding my it for about 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week (shoutouts to choir). Your larynx is the most important thing in voice changing, whether you're trying to sound more feminine or more masculine. For a more fem voice, you want to raise your larynx. Not sure what that feels like? try swallowing, but stop halfway through the motion. That area of the throat that you feel is your target area. I have a couple exercises to share to help! If at any point during your practice your throat starts to hurt, then STOP. Pain is not progress in vocal training!
larynx rise training exercise:
whisper a breathy "ho" sound
whisper a breathy "ha" sound
Now hang onto that "haaaa" whisper
Turn it into a regular volume "haaaa" while keeping that lightness best you can
FairyPrincessLucy on UA-cam had some great tutorials that are a lot more thorough than I'm being btw! (she's where I got the first exercise from!)
something else than helps, or at least did for me, was practicing your Octave range via singing! I'm talking those "do re mi fa so la ti do"s! it's easiest if you have a piano to follow along with, but essentially the goal is to keep doing your scales, up and down, then going up a starting note, and repeating that cycle until your sound isn't really coming out anymore bc its too high out of your range. It might be slightly uncomfortable feeling and may not sound pretty while youre singing the note, but it should never hurt! doing this everyday, you'll notice that you'll be able to reach higher and higher notes and therefore gain access to them with speaking as well ^^
I'm sorry if this reply was kind of haphazard or hard to read, I've never tried giving someone instructions on this before, but I hope it helps at least a little! much love!! 🏳️⚧️
