This episode is incredible! I love the fact that blitz finally realizes he wants to change and even got to apologize properly to verosika. Honestly I would love to see blitz and stolas become good friends and heal on their own while they find separate partners that make them happy.

In this moment, he doesn't want to talk about his feelings, he wants to yell and argue, and when suddenly it veers off into feelings talk again, he just flounders like a fish on land. It's like, the most desperate and quick attempt at throwing up a wall. Stolas walking away simply gave him the opportunity to catch himself and continue digging this hole like he's searching for burried treasure.
Head canon, I think most the exes at the party did move on, there are a few that likely thought it was true love, maybe it was their first who knows and are clearly upset or the party is making them relive those memories, but a bunch of them give this vibe of they did move on (and hooked up with each other in some cases), and are just there because its a party in the human world hosted by a rich pop star. Verosika however you can tell it stuck with her, not just the whole an ex she felt she could be vulnerable with in human terms, she's a succubus. A demon whose very nature is carnal, uses sex just for fun and as a means to honey trap her prey, for her to actually love someone and feel comfortable enough to make herself vulnerable and express that...and then its thrown back in her face...the level of embarrassment, and animosity she would have to feel after.
To add to that point, something I mentioned in another video about her. During her introduction in episode 3, she express how he left her there, stole her car and wrecked it. And maxed out all of her credits cards. So right after getting vulnerable and trying to build up a genuine relationship as a succubus, likely for the first time. What awaited her most readily for her skill sets, was likely a lot of transactional sex related stuff. Doesn't mean that's what she ended up doing. But way to have the nail and get the point hammered in the most wounding manner.

While it's true that in the beginning it wasn't Blitz's choice to be his friend, it's worth noting that after Blitz completed his mission and gave the treasure to his dad, he continued to hang out with Stolas cause he found himself actually having a good time with him. It also happens the first time they sleep together. Blitz says "I can do this real fast" but winds up staying all night. I still have faith they can be good for each other eventually. After they both heal and get to know each other better.
The fact that Martha and Miss Mayberry are a couple in Hell raises some interesting questions about the real nature of the contract in 'Murder Family'. Hear me out; isn't it just possible that Miss Mayberry wasn't mad that her husband was cheating on her, but was actually mad that her lover was cheating on her... with her husband? That would be a double betrayal, and all the more reason for Mayberry to want Martha to join her in Hell. Just my own headcanon, mind you. But you have to admit, it's an intriguing theory.

My problem with the party is that *this isn't coping.* It's picking open scabs and reveling in the blood. Yeah, I'm sure SOME people are being helped, but... I don't know. The whole party seems like Verosika making everyone else around her face her trauma with Blitz so she doesn't feel alone.
I'm really hoping that one of the upcoming episodes does address the class system between imps and higher demons, and maybe Stolas has his own moment of realization on Blitz' perspective, somewhat similar to what we see Blitz go through here. If this series does end with them not getting together, I would actually kind of applaud the show for going against expectations. Love the end song. Also, poor fucking Dennis.

Do you think Stolas is more understandable when it comes to his issues? His only other basis for comparison for a relationship was Stella, he had a very sheltered and controlled life, and I feel the taste of freedom from those bonds might've influenced a lot of his negative actions towards Blitz. Blitz has trauma but he has had time to work on his issues but actively chose not to.

He was able to bond with Fizz becouse he was ENGAGED with saving his life, once the adrenaline started flowing so did the words. Which actually makes me nervous: some of the S2 trailer looked like something was attacking Stolas and Blitz, is THAT how thier gonna break down this barrier?
Loving the realness at the beginning. Love all these people, but they have all fucked up plenty, and desperately need to grow as people. I'm still hoping Stolitz work their relationship out, but I think they both need a lot of growth and self discovery to get to the point of being ready to try again, and I'm happy it doesn't seem like the team is rushing it toooo much, at least so far. I don't think Blitz's yelling itself was an issue in that moment- Blitz is a loud person, that's just a trait of his whether he's mad or not, I don't think it's particularly malicious for that to come out in that opening situation- I think the toxic element that screams "not ready for a healthy relationship" was more in the way he disrespected Stolas' vulnerability. I think Stolas' gaslighting* about his internalized biases about imps and how that's affected their relationship is just as unhealthy, but firstly both of them being wrong is obvi MORE reason for them not to hop right back into their relationship, but secondly UH, BRO WAS CHILLING TRYING TO DECOMPRESS?? Blitz came here looking to rush that conversation on Stolas, and yet Stolas still gave Blitz a chance to have it, a moment of vulnerability that Blitz then mocked as unduly sappy and emotional when HE prompted the discussion. Sure Stolas was being a dick about Blitz's (poorly stated) insecurities, but that doesn't change Blitz's stubborn, immature refusal to actually engage with his feelings and voice his frustrations in a productive manner. He could've jumped on Stolas' willingness to talk and pushed back on Stolas' refusal to accept accountability, told him "Look I get now that you love me, but it's pretty fucking bullshit you're acting like my feelings about this are coming out of nowhere and aren't a direct result of how you've treated me. How can you say you don't look down on me when you wouldn't even let me think things through and speak for myself last night and just assumed what my answer would be bc I got confused? When you're sitting here giving me shit for TAKING CARE OF MY DAUGHTER when we both know you'd have done the same in my position?" etc etc. Instead he had to act like he was above talking about his damn feelings. Which he hasn't gotten ANY better at despite this episode, which is fair, that's not what this episode was about. But I'm really hoping they don't just hop to his communications issues being fixed. I really wanna see him actually work on that before they approach getting back together! And I wanna see Stolas have to face he did actually fuck up and confront his internalized biases too! I personally wouldn't want to see them get back together any earlier than the end of the season, and I'd honestly prefer if they're not even officially back together by then, and rather just getting to a place where they both understand their failing and could consider getting back together in the future and they were on shaky footing going into season 3. That'd feel like a good place to leave season 2 imo. Give our boys time to heal and grow, together but apart! (*side note: I'm calling it gaslighting over just simply denial because Stolas pretty clearly admits to knowing these issues are present in their relationship that he's responsible for in Full Moon, and has stopped acknowledging them now that it makes the break up easier for him to deal with. He knows at least to SOME degree he didn't fully treat Blitz with respect in their relationship, and is now denying that and invalidating and dismissing Blitz's feelings about it. I know some people get very particular about using that term, but no, I'm not saying Stolas would be on the hook for purposely doing that if he genuinely at no point understood he fucked up.)

Hopefully it’s something to do with Verosika because this episode, in my opinion didn't do Verosika much justice. She was sort of rushed along with this episode, like ‘Hazbin Hotel’ which sort of just cut to moments months later. Like it would’ve felt nice to drag it along slightly and give us just hints towards future episodes. It sort of feels like the writer’s trying to finish it all in under a schedule. Hope the new short coming out will address some of the questions I have, such as, how did Blitzo run out on her? (Feels like a nervous response he had, without much thought, caused by his trust issues.) Why does Blitzo have such bad trust issues? (I understand it might have to do with his Father manipulating him but i want to understand whether he just left them, or he blamed Blitzo for his mother’s death which was the last straw.) And perhaps some additional info as to why Barbie Wire has so much aggression towards Blitzo? (I doubt their mother’s death was the only factor that led to her hatred, perhaps the final straw but i feel there’s more that Barbie blames Blitzo for.). If anything I want the short perhaps be a flashback of Verosika and including Barbie Wire, which is possible considering that both went to the same Rehab Facility and perhaps we can see the two bond? It would feel like something nice to focus on that would distract us from the amount of story we are currently being introduced to. Perhaps a little late but Happy Pride month, Didn’t get to see much after that Murder Drones episode dropped like months ago. But enjoyed your analysis on that too. 🔥
5:59-6:20 about that.....28:45 + 33:30 yeeeeaaaaah you kinda called it. as Stolas puts it, "Do you know how much you have to care to do something as stupid as that?". it is not just about the hate, it is a safe place for these people to let out their anger, their grief and not be judged. its not about hating Blitzo...it's about helping themselves. And honestly the biggest person that would hate Blitzo the most...is himself. 19:37 if you noticed that Blizo they were burning was a stock image of the real Blitzo plushie cropped in. that is just a funny little joke. Tex is mostly there because Vorsika is on earth and thus being her body guard. even then it wasn't personal like the others he was just backing up his boss. And finally we get Blitzo and Stolas sitting down and actually talk. not dance around the issue but put the cards on the table and try and hash out their feelings. even if Stolas is drunk, he is being the most honest while Blitzo is opening up even admitting he is afraid that anyone can care about him. And Blitzo is trying, even going to hold Stolas' shoulder in comfort. and while 'Better the Blitzo' (yes that is the title used for him in the end credits) came to cut the moment, it wasn't out of malic but to guniunely ask Stolas to dance and see where that goes. and Blitzo wanted to say more to Stolas, he needed to say more but he saw that this would cheer Stolas up so he allowed him to go. he clearly didn't expect the kiss but felt that this might be good for Stolas. I do believe that Stolas and Blitzo will get together offically and fully at the end of the series at the latest, but a moment apart where they can sort their feelings and spread their wings will be good for the both of them. and finally we have the biggest moment with Vorsika. from her words she knew Blitzo was here for a while. maybe only after the song maybe before that but she never called attention to him. she allowed him and Stolas to talk in somewhat privitely and went upstairs knowing Blitzo will follow and get them to talk without other listening. We also get to hear her say it. we knew the feelings were real, for both of them even if Vorsika might have had more. you don't have the person's name tattooed on your arm unless the feelings were real. and she outright said that she told him that she loved him. and it's more of a big deal because of one simple detail...she's a succubus. yes succubi and incubi are famous for sleeping with men and women to steal/eat their souls, and here in Helluva/Hazbin Hell they show that while not completely the same they are still very sexual creatures. they are very sexually active, they crave and have sex with humans and demons freely. but any creature, even sexual creatures, can have guniune romantic feelings and they are even more of a big deal for them. and the fact she still cares about him, and hates that she hates him so much. and to think she throws these parties not out of spite, which is understandable but to help everyone else start to heal. it shows she is more then a sexy character that is all about drinking and rage. and I'm all for it. and this hopefully will be the thing to lite the fire under Blitzo's ass to get him to change. to realize that if he doesn't his fear of him dying alone will be true. true he will have Loona, Fizz as well as Moxxie and Millie, but he needs to change in order to be completely healed.

You mentioned Stolas had him earlier with the question 'why are you here then'. Well, honestly, he had him again. Blitzø literally just didn't know how to counterargument this. In this moment, he doesn't want to talk about his feelings, he wants to yell and argue, and when suddenly it veers off into feelings talk again, he just flounders like a fish on land. It's like, the most desperate and quick attempt at throwing up a wall. Stolas walking away simply gave him the opportunity to catch himself and continue digging this hole like he's searching for burried treasure.

Head canon, I think most the exes at the party did move on, there are a few that likely thought it was true love, maybe it was their first who knows and are clearly upset or the party is making them relive those memories, but a bunch of them give this vibe of they did move on (and hooked up with each other in some cases), and are just there because its a party in the human world hosted by a rich pop star. Verosika however you can tell it stuck with her, not just the whole an ex she felt she could be vulnerable with in human terms, she's a succubus. A demon whose very nature is carnal, uses sex just for fun and as a means to honey trap her prey, for her to actually love someone and feel comfortable enough to make herself vulnerable and express that...and then its thrown back in her face...the level of embarrassment, and animosity she would have to feel after.
this is such a heartwrenching but potentially true interpretation; I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case
To add to that point, something I mentioned in another video about her. During her introduction in episode 3, she express how he left her there, stole her car and wrecked it. And maxed out all of her credits cards. So right after getting vulnerable and trying to build up a genuine relationship as a succubus, likely for the first time. What awaited her most readily for her skill sets, was likely a lot of transactional sex related stuff. Doesn't mean that's what she ended up doing. But way to have the nail and get the point hammered in the most wounding manner.

While it's true that in the beginning it wasn't Blitz's choice to be his friend, it's worth noting that after Blitz completed his mission and gave the treasure to his dad, he continued to hang out with Stolas cause he found himself actually having a good time with him. It also happens the first time they sleep together. Blitz says "I can do this real fast" but winds up staying all night. I still have faith they can be good for each other eventually. After they both heal and get to know each other better.

I’m probably gonna piss off some people but I don’t care I hope Blitzø and Stolas don’t get back together their relationship has been very toxic since the beginning it would honestly be better if they moved on from each other since they constantly make each other feel shitty for fuck sake Blitz has a entire party that is devoted to hating him and the amount of Exs he has is unbelievable Fizz is dating the literal embodiment of lust and yet their relationship is WAY healthier.
I do agree that they have mistreated each other far too much to realistically curate a healthy relationship, but I don't think Blitz' body count is cause for them to separate. Do you think Stolas is more understandable when it comes to his issues? His only other basis for comparison for a relationship was Stella, he had a very sheltered and controlled life, and I feel the taste of freedom from those bonds might've influenced a lot of his negative actions towards Blitz.
Blitz has trauma but he has had time to work on his issues but actively chose not to.

11:30, touching back on my previous message, the reason why he's able to have thos breakthrough with Stolas is becouse he's ANGRY. He was able to bond with Fizz becouse he was ENGAGED with saving his life, once the adrenaline started flowing so did the words.
Which actually makes me nervous: some of the S2 trailer looked like something was attacking Stolas and Blitz, is THAT how thier gonna break down this barrier?
Loving the realness at the beginning. Love all these people, but they have all fucked up plenty, and desperately need to grow as people.
I'm still hoping Stolitz work their relationship out, but I think they both need a lot of growth and self discovery to get to the point of being ready to try again, and I'm happy it doesn't seem like the team is rushing it toooo much, at least so far. I don't think Blitz's yelling itself was an issue in that moment- Blitz is a loud person, that's just a trait of his whether he's mad or not, I don't think it's particularly malicious for that to come out in that opening situation- I think the toxic element that screams "not ready for a healthy relationship" was more in the way he disrespected Stolas' vulnerability.
I think Stolas' gaslighting* about his internalized biases about imps and how that's affected their relationship is just as unhealthy, but firstly both of them being wrong is obvi MORE reason for them not to hop right back into their relationship, but secondly UH, BRO WAS CHILLING TRYING TO DECOMPRESS?? Blitz came here looking to rush that conversation on Stolas, and yet Stolas still gave Blitz a chance to have it, a moment of vulnerability that Blitz then mocked as unduly sappy and emotional when HE prompted the discussion. Sure Stolas was being a dick about Blitz's (poorly stated) insecurities, but that doesn't change Blitz's stubborn, immature refusal to actually engage with his feelings and voice his frustrations in a productive manner. He could've jumped on Stolas' willingness to talk and pushed back on Stolas' refusal to accept accountability, told him "Look I get now that you love me, but it's pretty fucking bullshit you're acting like my feelings about this are coming out of nowhere and aren't a direct result of how you've treated me. How can you say you don't look down on me when you wouldn't even let me think things through and speak for myself last night and just assumed what my answer would be bc I got confused? When you're sitting here giving me shit for TAKING CARE OF MY DAUGHTER when we both know you'd have done the same in my position?" etc etc. Instead he had to act like he was above talking about his damn feelings.
Which he hasn't gotten ANY better at despite this episode, which is fair, that's not what this episode was about. But I'm really hoping they don't just hop to his communications issues being fixed. I really wanna see him actually work on that before they approach getting back together! And I wanna see Stolas have to face he did actually fuck up and confront his internalized biases too! I personally wouldn't want to see them get back together any earlier than the end of the season, and I'd honestly prefer if they're not even officially back together by then, and rather just getting to a place where they both understand their failing and could consider getting back together in the future and they were on shaky footing going into season 3. That'd feel like a good place to leave season 2 imo. Give our boys time to heal and grow, together but apart!
(*side note: I'm calling it gaslighting over just simply denial because Stolas pretty clearly admits to knowing these issues are present in their relationship that he's responsible for in Full Moon, and has stopped acknowledging them now that it makes the break up easier for him to deal with. He knows at least to SOME degree he didn't fully treat Blitz with respect in their relationship, and is now denying that and invalidating and dismissing Blitz's feelings about it. I know some people get very particular about using that term, but no, I'm not saying Stolas would be on the hook for purposely doing that if he genuinely at no point understood he fucked up.)

Also apparently there’s a new short coming out. Hopefully it’s something to do with Verosika because this episode, in my opinion didn't do Verosika much justice.
She was sort of rushed along with this episode, like ‘Hazbin Hotel’ which sort of just cut to moments months later. Like it would’ve felt nice to drag it along slightly and give us just hints towards future episodes. It sort of feels like the writer’s trying to finish it all in under a schedule.
Hope the new short coming out will address some of the questions I have, such as, how did Blitzo run out on her? (Feels like a nervous response he had, without much thought, caused by his trust issues.) Why does Blitzo have such bad trust issues? (I understand it might have to do with his Father manipulating him but i want to understand whether he just left them, or he blamed Blitzo for his mother’s death which was the last straw.) And perhaps some additional info as to why Barbie Wire has so much aggression towards Blitzo? 5:59-6:20 about that.....28:45 + 33:30 yeeeeaaaaah you kinda called it. as Stolas puts it, "Do you know how much you have to care to do something as stupid as that?". it is not just about the hate, it is a safe place for these people to let out their anger, their grief and not be judged. its not about hating Blitzo...it's about helping themselves. And honestly the biggest person that would hate Blitzo the most...is himself.
19:37 if you noticed that Blizo they were burning was a stock image of the real Blitzo plushie cropped in. that is just a funny little joke.
Tex is mostly there because Vorsika is on earth and thus being her body guard. even then it wasn't personal like the others he was just backing up his boss.
And finally we get Blitzo and Stolas sitting down and actually talk. not dance around the issue but put the cards on the table and try and hash out their feelings. even if Stolas is drunk, he is being the most honest while Blitzo is opening up even admitting he is afraid that anyone can care about him. And Blitzo is trying, even going to hold Stolas' shoulder in comfort. and while 'Better the Blitzo' (yes that is the title used for him in the end credits) came to cut the moment, it wasn't out of malic but to guniunely ask Stolas to dance and see where that goes. and Blitzo wanted to say more to Stolas, he needed to say more but he saw that this would cheer Stolas up so he allowed him to go. he clearly didn't expect the kiss but felt that this might be good for Stolas.
I do believe that Stolas and Blitzo will get together offically and fully at the end of the series at the latest, but a moment apart where they can sort their feelings and spread their wings will be good for the both of them.
and finally we have the biggest moment with Vorsika. from her words she knew Blitzo was here for a while. maybe only after the song maybe before that but she never called attention to him. she allowed him and Stolas to talk in somewhat privitely and went upstairs knowing Blitzo will follow and get them to talk without other listening. We also get to hear her say it. we knew the feelings were real, for both of them even if Vorsika might have had more. you don't have the person's name tattooed on your arm unless the feelings were real. and she outright said that she told him that she loved him. and it's more of a big deal because of one simple detail...she's a succubus.
yes succubi and incubi are famous for sleeping with men and women to steal/eat their souls, and here in Helluva/Hazbin Hell they show that while not completely the same they are still very sexual creatures. they are very sexually active, they crave and have sex with humans and demons freely. but any creature, even sexual creatures, can have guniune romantic feelings and they are even more of a big deal for them. and the fact she still cares about him, and hates that she hates him so much. and to think she throws these parties not out of spite, which is understandable but to help everyone else start to heal. it shows she is more then a sexy character that is all about drinking and rage. and I'm all for it.
and this hopefully will be the thing to lite the fire under Blitzo's ass to get him to change. to realize that if he doesn't his fear of him dying alone will be true. true he will have Loona, Fizz as well as Moxxie and Millie, but he needs to change in order to be completely healed.
Tbh, i do hope Blitz and Stolas fix their relationship and end up back together at some point, not rn both of those dummies need time to heal and works things out but once they get their shit together, nothing says they shouldn't try again
Blitz needs the most amount of self reflection and healing because even tho he now realized how shitty he was, he finally needs to get it in his head that he's worth loving and that Stolas actually loves him for who he is
I mean Stolas also wasn't fully innocent either as he mostly set up the relationship and it's "trems", leading Blitz on with the whole thing they had going on, before Stolas actually fell head over heals for Blitz, so it was reasonable for Blitz to think the things he did about their relationship
Both of them are dummies and both need some time apart and need to heal

3:55 I'm pretty sure the all of those examples were before Ozzies and ever since the 'date' at Ozzies, Stolaz reflected on their relationship in S2E1 and hasn't teased Blitz or called him 'Blitzy' once, during the pep talk before Blitz's sticom in S2E2 he calls him Blitz, during the phone call on the horses back in S2E4 He calls him Blitz, S2E8 and S2E9 he never calls him 'Blitzy'. Stolas has actually been very respectful and patient ever since Blitz made it clear he thinks Stolas only wants him for sex at the end of S1E7 Ozzies.

Stolas only called him a "little bitty imp" one time to his face in S1E5, He did say "Follow me, Imp" in S2E1 after they first met in 2 decades, but that was mostly acting for the bedroom reveal that stolas remembered who Blitz was.
