It is a hard fight, but worth it in the long run. Maybe just dial back the difficulty if you don't succeed in first 10 attempts.

The berserks aren’t too bad once you learn their patterns but what makes them kinda hard is if u make 1 mistake ur done
I've gotten so close to killing some of them, like there was barely anything left in the health bar, but then they'll do a yellow-ringed attack, I'll parry, but it'll throw my arm up and they'll take me out in an instant. So incredibly annoying.

Svipdagr and the sister's is probably one of the most shockingly awful fights I've encountered thus far. Considering this game has such fun and creative boss design I'm shocked to see a bad dark souls gank fight make its way into this game.
Good God I hate this fight… I did everything else with relative ease on GMNM but this fight feels incredibly unfair with how aggressive they are. There’s so much going on that I had to disable aim assist.
It's not just one though.

Yeah this fight is straight up ridiculous. I don't know how the idea of it got passed/approved at all. I much rather have a boss that can perhaps change elements from fire to ice and then melee.

There is a shield accessory that lets you charge at the enemy by double tapping L1. If an enemy goes into a double blue charge up attack, as long as you start the charge you do not get damaged by their attack even if you don't get there in time. Very helpful for a lot of these fights. I forget the name of it.
Onslaught shield is what you're looking for
Onslaught shield yeah very good shield for aggressive players. Let's you close big gaps safely and you can get those shield bashes from super far away.

The dauntless shield is for the aggressive players you don’t have to be next to the them but you do gotta stay close to them and if you have high defense and put on the svartlheim enchantments and use stun runics they lose health like crazy, everytime they get fully stunned and have a lot of health still they loose a full bar of their health. Love seeing all these new builds people have
The 3v1 fight shafted me like 7 or 8 times in a row. It was actually worse than my fight with the king because a lot if bs went into it and not juuust skill issue 😂😂
Literally still struggling on those sl*ts and I have done all I can to beat them and still the wonky camera and bs attacks make this fight impossible

@@opossum9813 turn off the auto aim and get All close range attacks and practice using mainly the axe because you can evade throw the axe to deal with the projectiles and focus on the main one that's how i did it using range attacks is a death sentence in That fight because so much is going on
i just turn the difficulty down to story because the enemies are basically cheating anyways. and if you are using some uber build then you are also cheating so why not just skip the bs and beat them on an easier difficulty.

God that three v one fight was so tough. I remember I was super scared towards the end fighting just the sisters because they would just never sit still and I didn't want to take the risk to chase after them to hit them. I think it took me just a little bit longer to beat them than the actual king honestly

I was able to kill the sisters first and the other guy wasn't to bad.
on what difficulty? i had almost no trouble by killing the sisters first. you can easily keep them sun locked with all your runic attacks, and just occasionally dodging or parrying when the 3rd wheel decides to hop in. the game becomes much easier the better you get at juggling runic attacks
Yup, the king wasn't nearly as tough as these 3, honestly I found the fight against the 2 beserkers harder than the king as well.

Big tip. The spear is probably the best weapon in the game with its fast dps. Bias though. If you don't like it i recommend only using it for it's siphon ability. Holding R2 will take an enemies element and make you resistant to it. Used it a lot for bifrost and fire, especially for these bosses.
Bruh legit, whoever thought of putting this spear in the game is a genius. It's my favorite weapon in the game, not only dps.but also the explosion mechanic is beautiful
Definitely works and it made a huge difference
Spear with the Bonus Damage vs Sonic Status handle is absolutely nuts. Fully upgraded you'll be 1-shotting most minor enemies and hitting bosses almost as hard as your Runic attacks. Even better if you can siphon Bifrost damage, you basically do 300% damage with Maelstrom charged up, Sonic status applied and Bifrost element on the spear.

If you are not a weapon switcher and plainly using the weapons then yeah the spear is strong specially for beginners.. bur if ur a gmgow player axe is still the best
bodvar and starolfr was horrendous when underlevelled but i hate walking away from a fight, stayed for hours 😭 felt harder than any boss from dark souls 💀

@AKIRAISHERE that happens to me too and then I spend however long and I just do worse lol. Usually going and doing a side quest or changing gear helps a lot to break up trying the same fight over and over

Playing in Give me No Mercy ( I just finished the main story for the first time) the berserkers were tougher to defeat than Odin himself 💀 at least for me

Yeah on No Mercy the Berserkers seem like different fights compared to easier difficulties. They do so much damage and the bifrost ticks away a lot slower

Huge tip for those of you on GMGOW. Turn off aim assist so it won’t fuck you in the duo/trio fight. Also best armor in my opinion for raw damage has to be Lundas set or the dragon set but only in fights where you’re gonna parry a lot. ( King fight is easy with dragon set)
I finished GOW ragnarok during its release and i decided to repaly the entire game in GMGOW and i just finished the trio and duo boss fights today and as soon as i finish them i see tips like this that couldve made it so much easier...
The triple fight on no mercy or GMGOW is the most rediculous shit in video games bruh. The king is hard but fair, that fight is hard, and unfair. Not even fun
I found that taking the sister's down 1st was the better way to go cause their hits seem to take much damage, this was definitely a hard fight though, I'm glad it's over lol

I tried to take the sisters down first, but got comboed so many times. When concentrating on the main boss first, it was much easier for me to avoid attacks. After the main boss died, dodging the sister's attacks was pretty easy imo. But yeah, I have absolutely no desire to fight them again. King Hrolf on the other hand was a pretty cool and fair fight (alhtough also very hard). There I actually want to go back and try other builds. Did it with Lunda's and want to try like the Dragon armor.

There's an enchantment that increases your dodge distance. Elusive something.
Comes in CLUTCH for dodging those annoying unblockables. It's not a must but it makes it so much easier.
I found that shit after I beat all the berserkers and Gna on GMGOW. I was so mad I didn’t find it sooner
for the the 3v1 fight was the hardest, i died so many times because i didn’t have a resurrection stone with me and i didn’t wanna go all the way to the shop to buy one but in the end i had to and when i came back to fight them again i didn’t even need to use the stone 💀
The 3 to 1 fight was irritating because after you kill the melee attacker the other two get stronger

I just finished GoW on GMGOW difficulty and maybe it's me but the 4th one, "BOLD" one to be precise was the hardest Berserk to defeat because of those mobs he keep respawning. Even those Double/Triple Encounter wasn't that difficult. I don't know why, one of two/three Berserks was fighting me and the other/others were fighting Freya. Still i was very satisfied to achive the Platinum Trophy :)
Shield and Spear are OP
I disregarded the Spear my first few hours after obtaining it, but once I got used to it it quickly became my favorite weapon for any and all encounters. I did the King, a few other Berserkers and Gná basically Spear only (switching to Axe occasionally to disrupt AOE attacks). And for every normal enemy encounter I just stick to the Spear entirely as well. It’s such a good weapon, I love it. GMGOW too.
I’m playing on give me no mercy and I got clapped for an hour straight. Definitely just got pissed after that especially with all his shit talking he’d do after his fuckin swarm finished me off every single time
Lunda’s set was only route to take b/c of the poison effect & constant mobs. Taking the eye balls out was a must & using either Atreus or Freya runic ability to wipe them out as quickly as possible. Then Bold the bearded ass is grass. Also yes on GMGOW he was the 5th Berzerker slayed such a pain in the ass.
You can pop rage to get out of being guard broken then immediately deactivate it, it only costs a tick of your rage meter.
That’s what got me through all these fights really good tip
I used the armor that turn ur rage into a second health bar also buffs melee dmg on total rage
There’s also an enchant that’s reduces the cost of activating so u can spam it to cancel there moves too and go back in for some more hits. On give me Gow I had to use that plus the unarmed poison armor to beat the secret musphliem boss

The king was definitely a monster. I honestly think the bifrost status is a bit OP on these bosses. The attacks cover your entire health bar and are a death sentence like no other attack if it lands. I found the Guardian Shield to be an absolute must because of how they chain yellow attacks together and it's the only way to break tempo aside from a runic attack.
Don’t get hit then
Spartan rage breaks their tempo too, the wrath mode in particular was so good to get out of a failed parry without taking damage. It also completely removes the bifrost status. It makes the game much more forgiving.

I just powered through that, when you first fight it seems ridiculously unfair because if they hit you with all that bifrost... You're done. But I developed the mindset of "bifrost only hurts you if you're hit twice...but who tf said you were gonna hit me?" 😂 Then I just killed them.
I literally thought my controller was not working. I had my wife next to me and i was asking " do you see me spamming the dodge and not happening"? She said yes it doesn't work , i wanted witnesses😂🦃

Yes, I agree, especially when you have the over the shoulder perspective, which make multiple bosses fight feel more frustrating to tackle. And they set up walls around the arena as if the camera hasn’t done enough to mess up your viewpoint already.
The only thing that drove me nuts about these fights and Gna are the full arena AOE blue attacks. You shouldn't die just because you happen to be too far away to get to them in time.

2:58 I personally found sprinting away from the annoying ass air attacks to be a much more viable option because it's easy to get the dodge timing wrong and then end up with a huge hunk of health missing bc they either landed a millisecond too early or too late (from my experience playing on Give Me No Mercy)

These where sooo freaking fun figuring out each of thems patterns. Was the challenge part but once you get them memorized and have patience so you don't get punished for trying to get a extra hit in
I forgot about Resurrection Stones while fighting the King on Give Me God of War. Got it done but made it so much harder than it had to be.
I've been doing these on Give me No Mercy... And Oh Boy, I can't imagine the horror that would be facing them on hardest difficulty 😵💫

tbh it took me much longer to beat the sisters than the king but he was still a tough fight but i just felt like by the time i got to him i was too ready for him
for me, switch 3 and 2 and youre good. i fought the illska sisters/svipdagr with purple health bars and way easier to take them out than svip because once its just him, he cant even touch you (attacks very predictable and little)

I’d like the gank fights a bit more if the. A. I. didn’t break and it goes from you switching off one to the other to you fending off attacks from all of them rushing into melee you at the same time. I mean it can be kinda helpful if you have large AOE runic attacks and the realm shift relic but when those runout suddenly it’s not so helpful.
I made it through all the berserkers on give me god of war got to the three, got clapped, turned the difficulty down to give me no mercy, got clapped for another 3 hours, turned the difficulty to the easiest one, died one more time on the easiest difficulty, then beat them with the help of a resurrection stone before putting the game to no mercy and beating the king on my second try. WTF where they thinking with that bullshit ass triple threat boss.

I think on my 3v1 fight I got so sick of the projectile spam that I spent 10-20 minutes running around the outside of the arena throwing spears and waiting for my axe runics to recharge to get rid of the sisters first
I recommend you to use Stonewall Shield and Valor when defeating King Hrolf Kraki. I fought him with Vidar's armor set and max upgrade my Leviathan axe and Blades of Chaos. I always use L1+(triangle) on the Blades of Chaos because it deals crazy damage. I don't use the lock mode on the berserker. use my max level realm shift relic which is 5 seconds long. If it's still not enough, put it to "Give Me Story".
When fighting the 2 sisters and Svipdagr I recommend you to make Svipdagr's health low. Take down the 2 sisters first and finish Svipdagr. (It's a hard fight.)

The 3v1 fight had me reliving the godskin duo fight from ER
I hated it but it wasnt too hard compared to the godskin duo
So thankful to see everybody hated Svipdagr and the sisters so much. I raged so hard on that and I just ended up lowering the difficulty for that one cause I was so done with it 😭😂
I agree. The sisters were tough than the brothers. Even though they share same health bars, they’re a nuisance.
I use the stone wall shield 🛡️ and build up Permafrost or Immolation to strike them down harder and faster.
I also use a couple realm shifts with Radiance gauntlets and and waistband. Use that Alfheim’s amulet for more realm shifts and you’re good.
Number 2 took me two hours to beat. My character was at Rank 5.

Honestly one of the best tips i can give for berserkers is if your guard gets broken, use valor type rage. Gives you extra health if you time it right and gives enough time to dodge the next attack and gather your bearings
I’ve been using wrath type. Does the same this but you don’t really have to time it and you get free damage
Only problem with Valor is you still take damage if you get hit or miss the timing

That particular secret fight post-game in muspelheim is easily 2x more difficult than the Berserker king. He really just felt like another berserker with just some beefier HP.

Don't know why but for me the Muspelheim fight was easier even than some of the berserker fights, definitely easier than the king
Lil late to the party but I just beat the Berserkers and Gna myself like 5 hours ago my biggest complaint is how dang evasive they are like holy crap I lost track of how many attempts I utterly failed because they evaded out the exact second I did a runic attack and wasted a cooldown, Good thing I was rocking the most defensive armor in the game combo that will valor at max rank plus the valor enhancement and you pretty much got god mod enabled but despite that these guys still shredded me out of existence especially those magic spamming ones.
Lil side note: the King felt damn near impossible until I read a tip on the death screen that says theres an option for mini-boss check points (This is no joke I never once died to anything other than berserker bosses and Gna...ever so I never saw that tip til post-game), that one thing turned my 30+ deaths on the king to a 2-3 attempt run the issue I was bumping into was just being so drained (Mentally with like 10,000 thoughts and inputs racing through my head) in the last health bar then I make a stupid mistake and die.
You may think its cheating to enable an option like that but I dont play the game for the gut punching challenge and im a completionist so I HAVE to do the Super Bosses, that said they are remarkably well coded my biggest complaint for the King fight is when he pulled out the duel blades and did the room wide wipe out attack I was never near him....EVER, that and it seemed like 90% of the crap he threw at me was unblockables despite all that I would 100% do these fights again in new game + when or even if that feature gets added.

These gank fights are absolutely garbage and annoying, relying on rng way too much, the hrolf and the valkayrie fight is way easier than them. I can't remember the number of time I got stabbed in the ass because other enemies are out of my field of view and I wasn't able to see when and what attacks are coming, and just get combo-ed to death. I fought the guy with the sisters right after watching one of the more emotional moments in the game, and all those emotions were just gone in an instant, a big minus on the overall game experience.

I dont think it takes away from the game as the main story is very well done, but yes those gank fights are HORRIBLE! I can't believe that's actually a fight that made it into the final product!!
I found a way to kill the sister fight pretty easily if you have the realm shift hilt. Essentially run in and get a full combo off on a sister, then pop realm shift and unload, soon as you come out dude is gonna jump on you roll away and hit Atreus wolfs, they distract and interupt long enough to get another full combo on a sister, then just run and hit sister until dude leaps then run past him to hit the other sister
Eventually you will get low from getting clipped pop rage and punchy the sister, repeat until you die, pop berserker stone immediate rage and unload on sister and by then they should be dead if you dodged well enough. Killing either sister immediately kills both.
With the mages dead the remaining axe weilder is literally the easiest berserker. The fact there is three is the only reason it’s hard.
Did this on gmgow btw. Ludas armor. I was level 8 I believe. Hadn’t beaten the game yet.

I can't even beat the first one on the easiest difficulty.......I guess I'm not getting the platinum trophy if I have to beat the king for a trophy. Might as well just concentrate on the story now and forget about the collectibles.

Beating the Berserker just filled me with frustration. I beat Hrolf and the "that other boss I don't say the name because of spoiler" in the same day and were exactly the last two trophies before platinum.

theirs a shield rond that can transfer status effect by shield bashing and it works on bifrost so i would recomend using that on the bifrost guy you get it from a chest on the way to the norns

Some of these fights are terribly imbalanced, and it seems like they had no plan for NG+ and just decided to add "hard stuff" for people to bang their heads against. Some of them are brick walls when it comes to health pools and these are FAR harder than most of the Valkyrie fights from the previous game. In the previous game you could essentially kill the Valkyries as soon as you came upon them. Not true with the berserkers, since they require arbitrary power and skill levels to even make a dent. In this game they are either one or two levels higher than you *minimum* when you happen upon them naturally and not "post-game".
Not true. Just do side quests. I haven’t even beaten the game yet I’ve killed every berserker besides the niflheim one for not being unlocked yet and by proxy the king. Highest level diff I had was 1 level above me.
@@derrickpanciera5644 Cool story, yet I've been doing all of the side quests (only three main plot chapters left), upgrading my gear and I'm still stuck at level 5.
The next to last fight in this video has purple health bars (2 levels), and the double fight in the Apple Core has RED (3 levels). It literally takes almost a hundred hits to remove a single health bar, and they kill me in 1-2 hits. Playing on No Mercy BTW where levels are raised.
Played the last game on that difficulty for my first playthrough and killed all of the Valkyries as I stumbled upon them, which was just over halfway through the main path.

Finally beat those 3 sisters in the Barrens of Alfheim and the paired Berserkers in the Svartalfheim Pitmines on Give Me God of War…. Dont ask me what condition my controller’s in
I must say the one with the sisters is the most difficult boss I’ve encountered so far, the light elf at library being the second.
I tried so many things but the only thing that worked was rolling a couple times, throwing a spear at the sisters then rolling away from him again. Once i killed the sisters he wasn’t thaaat hard to take down
I’m gonna use this as the official order to these in bc it was the first ranking I saw
Shjothendi was a pain in the neck with the bifrost honestly the best way to cheese it was max out my rage and whenever I was at risk of losing a lot of health since I'm a terrible player is to use healthstones and heal with rage just to cancel out the bifrost honestly the the king was more of a pain to me to me than the valkyrie queen since Im so used to battling sigrun that when I fought her I took. me less than an 20 mintues to finally beat her the first time unlike the king it took me around 2 hours. At first I was playing it on normal but because Pokemon was almost out I just changed it to story so I can blitz through it and get my platinum. Great Video Love your content

For some reason I had a really hard time with Beigadr the Feared. The electric ⚡ one. Offcourse the worst was King Hrolf and the one with the sisters
Gna was also hard for me. More than Hrolf tbh. She flew around constantly couldn't even get my rage attacks connect
The king gave me much less grief than the 3-0n-1 fight.
That low battery notification in Hrolf made me look for my charger....

Svipdagr and the sisters were something else man had to change my difficulty to deal with them
I honestly feel like the double berserkers were the hardest. The trio was annoying but manageable, and the main berserker of that fight didn’t seem to have much health, and King Hrolf is definitely difficult but he feel fair, compared to the duo where whenever they like, especially mid combo, the other one just decides to hit me and I die. No indicator of what attack they were doing like the trio sometimes has, I just die. One time I was combining the lady one, and the big guy did the aoe attack that I have to shield bash, but he was way behind me. And then after I get hit and almost die, I look and can’t find him. That’s when he does a dash punch completely obscured by his partner and I die without anything I could’ve done. At least the King requires skill and not luck.

For Bodvarbthe Fierce and Starolfr the Troublesome. You can manipulate who you are fighting when they switch just hit the one fighting Freya and that will make them attack you . And from there you can lay the beat down on
The Sister of Illska actually I found it easier to take on a specific sister. I went after the fire one (red) with the Axe and then just played sound til I won. This fight was the hardest to me. The king was easy
I used the axe and blades on all the beserkers sometimes but I mainly used the spear so that I could land some spears on them and dodge and attack from a distance while dodging their bullshit attacks.

King Hrolf is the only time I used a resurrection stone the entire game. I got real close without it, but that bifrost aura just kept screwing me over, and after like an hour and a half of attempts, I ended up using one
2:12 what I did was use my rage and after he roars I go back into normal mode to save the bar. Got me like that all the way through the beserkers and the king
Siphon the elements from enemies and use it against them - works best for bifrost.
Or use fire and then leviathan or vice versa
I once had a glitch where hardrefill the callous just stood there while I spammed r1 with the blades of chaos until he died
I ran a permafrost build with the undying pyres set and with the pommel and grip and round of the nine realms so I could get insane dps on the occasional opening of permafrost so I was able to beat with no ressurection stones and 2 levels below him
1:16 The move when they jump up and splash down on you while tracking is so annoying. So, I found out instead of timing your dodge you can simply just run away. When they jump up just keep sprinting in any direction.
You should use the onslaught shield for hjalti the stolid because it does not matter if your far away and you have to shield breaks because the onslaught shield rushes to him or her

I personally found Hardrefill the easiest of them all, since his leaping abilities were easier to predict and react to than Fraekni’s charges for me.
Bodvar and Starolphr were the most difficult aside from Hrolf for me. The 3v1 was easier since the twins had shared health bars, so attacking one would hurt the other too
For me I never used a resurrection stone, but you can also just turn on mini boss checkpoint in your settings. It helps so much through these battles lol 😂 I only beat I think 4 of them so far. But I might need to use a resurrection stone for the more difficult berserkers.
