Thank You Cheryl for this easy sewing machine cover. It's simplified instructions are easy to follow. I like the simplicity of it,
it just covers over the top. This way I can still keep my sewing machine plugged in. I will be making this for my present sewing machine that I'm using. And any future machines I have. 😁

I made this sewing machine cover and then adjusted the pattern and made a cover for my serger. I didn't put the pockets on the front because I have an accessory mat which holds my accessories. The covers turned out great!

Thank you! This was a great video; it explained everything and looks like an easy project. I had some pre-quilted material, bias tape and ribbon that were just sitting in my stash - now I can put them to use! I really like all of your videos.

Omgoodness...love this project! I have avoided making a cover because of the side measurements, etc; but, this is so quick and easy...Many, many thanks! Peace.

I am always amazed by the neatness of your projects. I follow several channels and must say you are patient and really explain techniques well. I often learn techniques from you that other youtubers use simplified alternatives that give that amateur look. You are professional all the way.

Hello, I really love your videos. You are very precise on your instructions. I'm a novice and trying to learn how to sew after retiring. So, that tells you how old I am Lol! Do you have videos to show how you actually are sewing the pieces together? Thank you so much. Maria

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel

Hi Maria. I do sometimes will show a few sewing steps at the machine. I do so when certain sewing steps require a particular set up and/or a special placement in the machine. The majority of the fabric sewing steps require insert the fabric, step on the foot pedal, and guide the fabric under the presser foot. I recommend you read the sewing machine instruction manual so you are completely familiar with all parts of the machine. There are guide lines on the throat plate (under the presser foot). Line up the raw edge of your fabric on one of those lines and as you press on the foot pedal keep the raw edge of the fabric against the line you have selected. Most clothing use a 5/8" seam allowance which is the first line (1.0). Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

When measuring the length you need to add the height of the thread spindle. It's not removable on my machine. The alternative would be to make a hole for the spindle which can be done with the buttonhole maker.

Hi Coris. I think I got this fabric at Joann Fabrics and Crafts. Look for the sewing machine print fabric in the novelty fabric section in the store. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
