I just made one and watched you do it as I did it. Turned out great. Thanks so much!
What an awesome project! This would make a perfect gift for anyone who sews! Cheap to make, cheap to mail, and not going to arrive broken!
I just made 3 of these in a row while following your tutorial. So amazing!! I was nervous to cut my fabric for boxing the corners. I've never done it that way before but it worked so well. I will be doing it that way from now on. And they turned out great!! My swap partners will love them!!
Totally impressed with your tutorials and product info section! As a new subscriber and sewer, I so appreciate all the help I can get relative to products that 'work' best. I'm not a Circut person (yet - I recently upgraded to get a good beginner's sewing machine), but appreciate all that it can do. I'm just thrilled to finish a beginner's project with it looking like the 'model'. I'm looking forward to making this project. Thanks, Lorrie. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your tutorial videos!!!
I enjoyed making this, I really needed one for all those thread scraps! I used adhesive vinyl (from the zippered makeup bag tutorial) on the liner piece to keep the threads from sticking. It doesnt look quite as nice but better than having sticky threads! Thank you for the tutorial!
I just finished making this and I love it! The instructions were so easy to follow and easy to make! I can't wait to make some more!
Great idea using the strapping from boxes! We just got a new fireplace insert, and got a few boxes with the strapping on them! Now I can make many of these! I made one years ago
I have made 2 of these and they are fun and easy to make. I like using a light weight interfacing. It seems to made it hold it’s form better. Thank you for the video. Great job!
Thank you for the clear detailed instructions. The way you top stitched the pincushion was so much better than another video where she top stitched after filling it. I have thrown out so much of that plastic strapping never dreaming I could use it. Thanks for a great job.
B an
That really worked a treat, now I intend to advance to a Sofa /TV remote organizer. The Pet Shop was amazed as to what I intended to do with the walnut shells.THANKS for ;your valid instructional video
I made one years ago and use it every day. I just made your pattern and am putting in by my embroidery machine. Thanks for another awesome idea!
I made this and your instructions were the best of any I have seen!!! Thank you much!!!
This is an awesome project to make on a rainy day. You are great in giving easy to follow instructions. Thank you so much for sharing!
Awesome as always. I've been wanting to make something like this but was put off by the circular shape but watching this I now feel confident to give it a try. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for a great tutorial! By making a pair of these bags and attaching webbing strips to connect them instead of the hinge and pin cushion, I have been able to use this pattern to make a great car holders for 40oz water bottles. They hang over my center console somewhat like saddle bags.
GREAT IDEA,RHONDA!!!
Lorrie, this is adorable! Thank you so much for your clear instructions. I always feel like I can make anything after I watch your tutorials. Hugs and blessings.
You are a great teacher!! Thanks! Such a fun thing to make. :)
OK I tried it!! I didn't have boning so I took a piece of cutaway stabilizer, folded it in half and in half again. I slid it in that slot (like you did with your strapping) and yes, it stands up!!! :D I'm so happy with myself! I have a pattern to make this but I can't understand it! This one?! So EASY!! Yes, I have you broadcasting on my tv and watching from my machine, pausing a needed!
I was thinking of doing this until I saw my neighbor was throwing our some strapping from a box.
Sometimes I use the strapping that goes around boxes. It works great
You're so gifted. Thank you for sharing your talent!
I just found your channel and I love your tutorials! You make everything super clear and easy to follow, thanks!
Thank you so much for the very clear tutorial instructions. I really enjoyed making this. I did make one minor adjustment when I saw your label. Instead of the label I changed it by just stitching the two sides so I could slip my small snips scissors into it as I am always losing them in class.
So cute!!!!! I just love you and your tutorials!!! You do such a great job explaining. Thanks so much. Take care.
What a super video and so well explained I'm new to sewing and am looking for quick and simple items to make for my family and friends and because of you kindness in sharing your knowledge can't wait to have a go wishing you joy and blessings Doreen
Love mine . I made it it a couple of years ago. Couldn’t sew without it. Ann from Va.
I made this. Good instructions, nice design. The only thing I personally will do differently next time is make the pin cushion/ weight a bit larger. It is barely staying on the table and is empty. Just needs a bit more weight. The other detail is that the color coordinating pieces are not correct. (The hinges and cushion are mislabeled)
Thank you I've wanted to make one for a while but didn't know how. Your step by step tutorial is so easy to follow.
I love this darling thread catcher. Can’t wait to make one. Thanks for the tutorial.
So cute. Can’t wait to make it. For years I have been taping a plastic produce bag to the edge of my sewing table
Excellent video, Lorrie!!! You've done an outstanding job of explaining every step. I made these a couple years ago, but the instructions (from the video of another person) were horribly confusing. Thank you for your excellent video!!!
I have seen a couple ways to make these. I really like your intructions. Your fabric is so pretty. Thank you for your video😊
Thanks for the easy-to-follow tutorial. These are really cute and the instructions are clear. I use a different method for boxing the corners, because I find it easier, and takes less time. I attached a piece of rubber webbing to the bottom of the pincushion to keep it from sliding off my table; it works nicely.
What a great idea. You can get a roll of it at Dollar Tree
Great tutorial. I have one that I purchased and now I know how to make one. Very handy for my sewing and craft areas.
Thanks so much for the great tutorial! I have some guild members who this would make great gifts! Very clear instructions !
I always love your videos, Lorrie! Can't wait to make this, I'm always needing somewhere to put my threads.
Can’t believe I missed this one! Very nicely done. 🎊
Amazing tutorial! Very thorough! I will be making a few of these for some swaps I'm doing. Thanks!
If you want to sew it by machine but don't want to spill walnut shells all over, use some fabric basting glue to hold it secure whilst sewing. ❤🌅🌵
Great tutorial! Will be making some of these for sure. Thanks.
VERY clear explanation and demo. Makes me want to make some for gifts:)
Thanks so much for this video tutorial. I made one (without the pincushion) and attached to my non-slip grip pad that my serger rests on. Perfect for catching those serger clippings as I sew. Then I made 3 more (with pincushions) to use in sewing workshops. I cut them 16.5 , 16, and 15.5 widths so they could stack when not in use. Your design and tutorial are flawless.... I have shared your link with many friends. Thank you!
I love this so much. Yay. Thank you so much for the SVG. You are an awesome instructor
I love this! I only gave a Silhouetre Cameo but as much as I have seen using the cricut, I will be buying one!
Love it thanks so much . I have been looking for this patteren for years.!
Lorrie thank you so much for the included SVG!
I like the way you sewed the bag and liner together. I have watched several tutorials too. You can also use plastic tubing instead of boning. Remember, all fabric has a right and wrong side. In this scenario it is not necessary to be exact. You can put a little “notch or snip” to mark the center.
Great instructions...I’m a beginner sewer and you make it so easy to follow, I only wish I could see you sew it! 😊
Lorrie- Wow another great project! Thank you for sharing with us! This is super cute & looks great! You are so very crafty & talented!
Those are super cute! Very easy to follow tutorial. Thanks for sharing!!
Excellent tutorial! Clear and concise, well done.
LORRIE Tnks for amazing tutorial an thank you so much for the clear instruccions..
Great video!! I added a plastic tub inside of my thread catcher to catch all the threads. All you have to do is remove the tub when you want to empty it. I didn't make mine but now I will have your video to watch when I want to make one for my sewing friends. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Your instructions were so clear. Definitely going to make this and follow you in the hope to make other projects
I just made one and it's beautiful! Too bad I don't know anyone besides me that sews because that would have been a great Christmas present. Thanks for the tutorial! I couldn't have done it without you!
I made several and gonna post them on local Facebook ads to sell along with my sewing machine presser foot rubber matt pad that goes under the foot so that it doesnt move all around when you are sewing
I just finish my first one. I will be making more. Thank you for this awesome video ❤️
Loved this tutorial! im not a very experienced seamstress but i made this with ease. wish there was a place to post the result!

I am a definite newbie (never too late to try, right).
I would like to get an ironing mat rather than run back & forth to my laundry room where my board drops down from a cabinet. Can you please tell me what kind to buy. I also love your pink iron....can you please tell me where to buy one-or what kind it is.
Looking forward to making these as Christmas gifts....for the seniors I make cards with.
