I agree on batteries that you get what you pay for. And with batteries you want reliability and longevity. They can save a life. Also do not buy generic ones at Dollar stores like Dollar Tree and Dollar General or generic ones at Walmart. Pay the money and get name brand. It’s worth it in the end. You can rebuy your batteries frequently or buy once and they last a long time and withstand changes in temperatures. God bless!

🛠️Good job as always! I am an Inside Track Member because I’ve bought a number of things including a Predator generator that has been excellent. Members get extra discounts, early access to sales, & special offers like 25-30% off with no exclusions. They are NOT a hardware store. They are a tool store that does have extra things like garden hoses for example. There are levels of several various tools. As a former professional mechanic who owns many Snap-on tools, their Icon brand really gives the professional grade tools a run for their money. Pittsburgh is their entry level offfering & you often get what you pay for but if you only need to do an occasional job, they are quite adequate in most cases. Like someone else mentioned, I have too many tools to list that I’ve gotten from them. If you’re discerning, it’s a good place to find some useful resources at reasonable prices. I’m a fan.

I have tried their batteries which were not worth half what they sell for. I tried them two times just to see if I just got a bad batch the first time. Don't waist your money on their batteries. I have used many of their tools, both hand and electric. I've never had an issue with either. I am an inside track member and yes it's well worth the price. One year I had saved half my membership cost by my second trip to the store. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is not always true. I have some expensive, high quality mechanic tools and some expensive mechanics tools that are not up to the quality of my harbor freight mechanics tools. All in all it's a great place to shop. Good selection, good prices and mostly good quality. Some items are poor quality but you can usually spot those when you look them over.

I’ve been using Harbor Freight’s batteries for years now and they are great for the price. Just don’t leave them in your devices for extended periods of time because they will leak acid after a long period without any use and destroy your equipment.

For your questions you asked during your video. The inside track membership is worth the money if you plan on purchasing items from them on a regular basis. The batteries I would stay away from, although I have not used their more expensive ones, they may be worth it. As far as the hand tools go; Harbor Freight uses a good, better, best model. Pittsburg brand tools fall into the good range, and they are good but not great. Where as the Icon tools, can rate up there with the snap on tools. The majority of the hand tools have a lifetime guaranty. Power tools fall into the same realm of the good, better, best. The predator engines are excellent which makes their generators top notch. Go to a camp ground and look around at which generators the campers have, you will see that a large number of them are predator's. The biggest thing to remember is do your research prior to buying things.

One thing you may have missed is their super cheap greenhouses. They have one 6'x8' that is hard plastic walls and aluminum framed that looks really nice for the money. Their tool boxes are the highest quality I think I have ever seen, you will pay for those though. The hand tools that are forged are just fine. The power tools are passable if you get the warranty, burn it up and take it back, they give you another no problem. I have a cement mixer, works just fine for a few small jobs. They sell a concrete vibrator that makes placing concrete a dream! Highly recommended even for small jobs. 10 or 15 years ago everything sucked there. Now some of the stuff like the tool boxes are really good.

Harbor freight has lots of useful things, unfortunately most of them are really low quality, so we mostly consider them disposable. Still, good video, and some of the stuff will last a while, just don't expect years of service from things you buy there. However, things like extension cords, padlocks, and ammo cans from there are all good. I use ammo cans for my First Aid kits- they hold things better (chest seals, tourniquets, israeli bandages, naso-pharangyeal tubes, etc) and can be set on the ground in nasty environments without affecting the things inside. I have one in every car and in our travel trailer.

Harbor Freight is great if you know what brands to buy. They use a base, better, best marketing practice. Hand tools, for example, Pittsburgh, would be their cheap base brand, Quinn would be their better brand, and ICON would be their best hand tool brand comparable to Snap-On. All my hand and power tools come from Harbor Freight. My welder too.

I've had Harbor Freights near where I live for decades. I agree with other commenters here that they are not a hardware store; they are a tool store. I have several of their hand-held tools such as mauls, axes and such; my favorite tool is their hand-held pick axe which I use to dig up trailing blackberry and whatever else I'm trying to get out by the roots.I actually liked that tool so much I bought two of them so I don't have to walk so far on my property to retrieve one. Their tarps are great also; I've purchased several and unless I treat them really poorly they last. I have their metal cart and their large blue hand-truck. All are good quality and have lasted a long time although I don't leave them outdoors. Consider yourself lucky to have a Harbor Freight near you.

When I saw the title of your video I IMMEDIATELY thought of Harbor Freight.
I first discovered them when I moved from the midwest to California. I still have (in my pocket) the $3 10' tape measure I got as one of their cheap leads as I walked in the door (I took the magnet off the back because I knew I wouldn't need it).
Since we left California I've found Harbor Freight everywhere I've lived.
Sure, you can pay a lot more and get tools of better quality, but these tools are cheap and plenty good enough.
Sometimes you don't want their cheapest offering, but their next more expensive version of basically the same tool will be just dandy.
They have just about everything you could want as far as tools are concerned, and they have a lot of stuff you just won't find anywhere else.
It's rare that I go to Harbor Freight and end up going somewhere else for what I want.

I’m not sure what the namebrand is but they’re yellow and black. I’ve also gotten a few other things like the pop-up lanterns, I got a ax from there And utility knife, some tarps, rain, jackets, and headlamps. They all seem to be pretty good. I am not a super prepper. I’m actually a beginner, but I feel like they have quite a few items that are very useful. I’m actually planning to go back this week and restock the batteries because, my family has used them over the Christmas holiday and with everything going on. I recommend signing up for their email coupons. You can save sometimes 30% off of things and they give free stuff as well.

I live in S.C. and have been a HF customer for years. They also sell some gardening tools and nozzles. They sell a semi-decent machete for around $6!! I have never noticed their tools were poor quality. I like their little rectangular magnifying glass for around $2. Their most reviewed new item is the multitool. It is a direct copy of the Leatherman Wave which is $120. The HT version is $40 and with a coupon is $30!! Their 4 sided diamond knife sharpener is a good prepper item. Yes, use those coupons whenever possible. The 588 lumen zoom flashlight with a crenulated bezel is an EXCELLENT light.

We have shopped at HF for several years. We did get the predator generator at a great price and we also purchased a great safe, many small lights, roller carts for my plants and many other items. Great tour Jara. 🛠

I love HF! A lot of my go bag is from there. The tarps are great. Several of the flashlight options are available at Dollar Tree cheaper. Definitely get their shopper card for the discounts, not talking about the one you pay for. Get the weekly ad and you will find several free with purchase items. I have flashlights, tape measures, magnetic hooks, tarps, extendable magnets since I drop everything, and more that was free. It does require a one freebie per purchase, but you can just go through the line again.

The yellow batteries are good enough for low power devices like remote controls and wireless computer mice, but that is about it. Worth grabbing if you have a free with purchase coupon, but I wouldn't spend money on them. The blue ones are as good as name brand.

🔨 I love Harbor Freight. I go every couple months to pick up a few items. They have these great Hardy mechanics gloves that I use for all kinds of hand work. You mentioned most of the things I get. But i never saw a battery tester, which I need! Maybe I'll go tomorrow and pick one up. 😊

Their tools are grossly underrated, I'm a Automotive tech by trade and 95% of my tool box is Harbor Freight tools with "buy cheap now and upgrade as it breaks" and it 12 years later they are still going strong. The ONLY thing that didn;t start out with was torque wrenches and that's because I got a tool voucher from the tech school I graduated from and bought a snap on set that does both Foot pounds and Newton-meters.
