There's a midi FX plugin in logic called transposer and it automatically transposes whatever you play into a specific key. It also makes it impossible to play any wrong notes so if your not a very skilled pianist like me it helps a lot.
You're so musically talented...I love the harmonies you come up with and the syncopated rhythms. Bach wrote music in this style with many voices where he did variations on a theme. Have you heard his sonatas and partitas? You're naturally gifted at doing this all by ear where you are able to beautifully harmonise your contrapuntal melodies..so cool 😎
Yo ocean, a cool addition to your channel that i haven't seen anyone else do on their tutorials is having a space somewhere on the screen and somehow showing what keys your pressing in real time. so people can learn your key shortcuts and things of that nature. would be innovative and helpful. keep it up!
I took this right of Timbaland’s book, but I’ll beatbox the sound I’ve got swimming around in my head and record it. Then I use that as a reference to go back to when I start having a hard time translating it
Try recording yourself whistling or humming the melody. Then open up flex pitch to see what notes you were humming. You can then use piano roll or keys to input this on a midi track.
Logic is deep! So much to to learn and master but simplicity is key! Can I get any free helpful plugins from anywhere? I enjoyed the vid and was it very helpful keep up the good work👍🏼
Oceans peace from the US. I don't know if that website is sponsoring u or what but logic has a built in transposer you can just pick which scale and no matter what key you play it will only play the scale. Keep up the good work brother peace
Yo how do u change the sounds there? So many dope things I wanna learn do u use a plug in for that or something ? And also the effects bro teach me plz u lit 🔥 if you could do more videos of how you do that it would be super dope !!

hi...i just want to know how did you get those kicks and snares ...are they in logic..i noticed you dont use the drums in logic...pls am new to music production.....all do i have to get those drum else where
For me it was buying a guitar and a bass and learning to play a bit. It gave me a different way to visualize notes and rules. I wasn't actually even looking to understand music theory at the time, but I started to catch on the more I played and and learn to play
Bro i just bought MRythmizer and dont know how to set it up. Can you please do a video on it or something because I went through the guide and am still clueless.
1:25 "They got it done a bit differently", dude it's called a harmonic minor scale' it's one of the basic things in music theory. don't get me wrong, I really appreciate your work and I'm learning a lot from your videos but bro, you're a musician, especially a producer, make your theory knowledge better and I promise you it will make your workflow better and open your chakras.
Hey man I really enjoy all your videos! I’m having an issue when using Ultrabeat. I’ll drop a sound into ultrabeat, create a pattern and drop it into the arrangement; however, when I try to change the pitch of a sound in the piano roll, it doesn’t do anything. You do this a lot with hats so I was hoping you could help me out. Thanks!
You should do a series where you break down one individual plugin for each episode so we can learn everything about that plugin
Custard I’m curious about that one he said was like gross beat for logic.
Ocean: I want to keep it simple
Also ocean: makes three octaves of counter-melodies
Exactly

Hey Ocean what did you find was the best way for you to learn music theory? I’ve just been doing online courses.
For me it was buying a guitar and a bass and learning to play a bit. It gave me a different way to visualize notes and rules. I wasn't actually even looking to understand music theory at the time, but I started to catch on the more I played and and learn to play
