HOW TO UNLOAD SAMPLES (WORKING 2022)
    - go to Logic Pro X in the left-hand corner of the screen
    - go down to sound library
    - select "Open Sound Library Manager"
    - go to "Drum Kits"
    - check the box and press install
    - once it installs, reboot Logic Pro X
    - open ultrabeat
    - click the dropdown menu next to the power button on the top left-hand corner of ultrabeat
    - go down to "Drum Kits"
    - find the drum kit called "Drag and Drop Samples"
    - go back under the dropdown menu next to the large power button on the top left-hand corner of the ultrabeat tab
    - select "Save As Default"
there you go, you will always be able to go directly to a drag-and-drop sample preset!!!
    hope this helped

Another one useful thing about ultrabeat is multi-output mode. You can create ultrabeat once, assign samples to different sub groups and then create tracks for each of them. It will save your CPU resources

all of the samples in ultrabeat say "sample 01", like they're the same sample, and that's what's allowing you to pitch shift. how did you get it like that? i've set my default to "drag and drop samples", but i still have sample 01, sample 02, sample 03, etc., and it doesn't allow me to pitch shift

Hopefully you got this figured out but it doesnt really matter. Just make sure that you select the very top sample as the one you drag the drum sample in and then open the keyboard roll and you should be able to pitch it up. If you want to be able to pitch down too, make sure to detune the original sample by an octave

Thanks! This was a quick way to make it all happen. Don’t do what I did and make separate Ultrabeat sample banks for kick, snare, hh etc and then mess with your library locations and delete them all 😐 this a quick and easy way.

I use ultrabeat for Snares and Clap, The normal AuSampler for Hi-Hats and Kicks and Alchemy for 808s, because it automatically pitches the 808 to C and I can play it like a piano on my Keyboard. Also Alchemy has good distortion and Glide tool/plugin

Great video - I’ve only ever used the exs24 for my drums but will definitely try this! Although when you explained about the long way with the pencil tool you can change the tool to the brush tool and change the quantise to how fast you want the bots and then just drag and it places them quickly:)
