Playing out of key can be one of the coolest sounding things you can do! There’s all kinds of chromatic/modal possibilities that will give your melody/chord progression flavor. But of course in the early days that might not be applicable. Loved the vid!

Quick tip for you Ocean: When you press CMD+R on a highlighted region, it duplicates it forward. I use a lot when arranging, faster than click-dragging with the mouse.

Ocean, do you know how songs/tracks switch between that Lo-fi sound and the clean sound? (without making a separate lo-fi track of the same instrument e.t.c). Like right before a beat hits or something. I would guess they're able to manipulate sections of the whole song in a channel EQ but IDK how to do that?

With Alchemy, the only option is Stereo. Because of this ive been meaning to ask you since you first mentioned alchemy and 808 combo- how am I going to use my 808s in MONO where they usually belong.. I’ve had to bounce the whole region out and do a bunch of channel bs and I still don’t even believe logic telling me it can ever be mono.
