Damn you handled that well for the camera. I freaked out more than you did when I saw the scratch.
Same here!
Same
Me too
So glad everything is coming together on the 65, It's looks Amazing, sounds Amazing, and now Performs Amazing, 😂you should try to Catch Popa T in a first ride, first full pull, video. Absolutely 💯 great job fellas, a lot of Blood Sweat and tears, hard work pays off.
Thanks brother! I’m definitely going to try to get his reaction on the first ride along 😎👌
Sounds Amazing!! I can't wait to see where it goes from here!!
Dude it only gets better every video I'm so jealous 😂😂. I'm not sure it could look any better..
I've been building 347s for nearly 20 years and I'm quite fond of these mighty engines. I always run the same cam in the carb'd versions because it runs so good on the street. I actually put one in my friend's 65 Fastback several years ago. It made 404rwhp on a Dynojet Chasis Dyno and pulls enough vacuum for power brakes too. It was a handful at WOT. Nice looking Fastback you got there!
What cam and heads did you have on that 404hp motor?
@@ktga67ish I thought I replied to this last night...strange. Anyway, custom grind hyd. roller cam, 224/230 & .530lift. AFR 185 Heads with a port matched Vic Jr Carb'd intake and 750cfm Holley
Hey mate..
Awesome to see the Grey Ghost finally running..
I have a 347 stroker bottom end I was building up to go in my ‘69 Torino GT Sportsroof but just sold the Torino to my nephew so at least it stays in the family..
I might end up putting the 347 into my Lincoln Mark VII..
Thanks for all of your advice and tech videos over the past few years that’s helped me get the “foxbody in a tuxedo” back on the road..
Dave from down under.. Australia 🇦🇺
I think it was a great first run Brother! Can’t be mad at you for scratching it when I’ve done worse to mine.😄 I personally love a NA 347 Bro! 💯
I just want to say thanks. I remember watching a video of yours a couple years back where you said just the same thing you did in this one, "It's just nuts and bolts, get after it". I just finished my first heads/cam/intake over the winter and got her running, and she's a ripper. Thanks for the inspiration you always bring into your videos.
I really like the idea of running the fuel line BEHIND the carburetor. Never occurred to me to do this.
I can’t wait to see popa T’s reaction to his first ride in it
Me too 🤩
When a carb is dialed, they are dialed! The 460 in my 77 F150 starts like right now.... 1 pump, and bump the key. Love it. Car looks awesome sir!
I’m so happy to see this car coming together just knowing it’s story in your life and that you’ve kept it for so long. Love to see you and your family enjoying it so much
She's a sweet unit. Looking and sounding good, great job. You handled that scratch like a champ.
Thanks. It was tough 👀🤣
Your stoicism regarding that scratch should be commended
It was tough 👀 But it’s also just paint.
I dropped my 69 fastbacks deck lid right after I spent a week repairing the sheet metal and repainting it. I got in my truck and left for an hour. The car looks great. Congrats.
I watched a 40 yr old man beat the top of his 72 Torino fender with a ball peen hammer. 24 peens.
SMH
Sounds great! I really do miss the driving dynamics of a good carb. With a manual it feels so connected.
Off topic, but I always tried to stay off the clutch pedal as much as possible. Not only to save the throw out bearing, but to not push the crankshaft with the clutch.
N91. Now your talkin. That will be a RIOT with the rest of your combo. Excited to hear it run.
Car is awesome!!! Proud of you guys. Your Dad will be honored. Take care.💪🏼🇺🇸
I used to run my 289 with a 4 row radiator and no fan on engine for years
As long as I wasn't in stop and go traffic it Never ran hot I did have an electric fan but never turned it oñ
Man I really like what you did. The car looks fantastic. All this incentive for me on my 65. Just waiting on painting. This summer. Love ❤️ the car.
I just got my 347/TKX combo together. It’s got the Comp XE282HR cam with the AFR 185 renegades on it and it runs better than it used to with a 100 shot. I still need to get it tuned but it’s pretty crazy so far.
Watching your channel and following along with the Grey Ghost has motivated me to get back in the garage and work on my project car thanks.
Your content is the only reason I consistently come to YT. Keep Stangin'!!!
I'm hoping to get the 65 chevelle I've been working on running for 1st in couple of weeks. Excellent job on fastback. I have a tkx in my 69 camaro n I love it n cruising at 80mph down highway n tacking at 2,000 rpms
I am sure you probably know this but I used a Chevy one wire alternator and eliminated the voltage regulator.
Correct. I really just wanted a familiar setup under the hood.
I think the 85 Mustang had that regulator in them from the factory.
So damn cool! I always can’t wait until the next video because I want to see her finished but damn it’s been a fun ride. Need to get back to work on my 03 Mach 1, I just got the heads rebuilt
I have the same cam in my 408. I hope it sounds that good. It would be cool to see a comparison video just for sound purposes. Keep doing what you're doing, brother.
Love the content and the vibe of the shop as a whole. #family
dam you knocked that out of the park! Great work
Thanks brother
@@BREW2LFOXBODY i used a Trans Am brace for the firewall flex on my 65 Fastback. Uses adjustable rods and heim joints at connections. Works great, you'll notice the difference immediately
Man it sounds great its probably going to be a bit of a handful once you get it dialed in.
I hope so 🤞
Looks & sounds beautiful...Crisp no doubt. Congratulations bro !
Sounds great! That 347gonna be a blast in that light fastback! I got a B-41 Anderson up here on the shelf if you wanna throw that in it, not sure when the 351w gonna be ready for it
Love your channel you are such an awesome dude and an inspiration to us all it's been fun following along on the Grey ghost build!!
Dude all you had to do was trim the fan . I did it for my 1969 mach and worked perfect. You cut the plastic with the bolts sit and that should allow the fan drop about half inch. Trim the slots where the bolts sit on the fan itself.
My buddy did the same thing to the tank on his new Harley Davidson !!
Wow she is sounding so awesome, she sounds like a N/A torque monster, once you get a bunch of the small
finished you will love driving her. About the scratch, man it happens to all of us, I put a fresh one on the front fender
about a month ago, made me sick.
I love the classics. Great variety!
I know how you feel about things going so good and then boom the paint gets scratched I was doing great myself then boom a injured foot just two days ago
Everything turns out perfect, nicely done build in all respects 👍
That scratch made ME sick. You handled it better than I would.
Car is wicked, just needs a X pipe and 3 inch tailpipes. That would make it just that much sweeter sounding.
Nice fastback. It’s only nut and bolts and Money!!
Very cool bro Great job on this build I myself am messing with a 1986 mustang gt having some fun .You got me thinking about my MSD ignition I didnt know you can change the chip in those to change the rev limit keep them coming bro I always look forward to your videos peace!!!👊💥
Man stop rushing her you brought tears to my eyes scratching the paint off I love my fox but looking at the lay out of that body is just sexy bro get the toe set and take me for a ride a long onc again great job she is awesome bro love it. Trying to get my fox going. Just move to another state so things are really tight right now. Be safe
The car is freaking beautiful!
Took my fox out in the rain.godda flat..got it home parked in the mud..got 2 flats on the front.....body kit....to low..cant jack it up....gonna have to buy some real low jacks to jack up the rear till I can get a jack under the sides to get the front end up.....
Drive up on a long 2x12... Then add another, drive fwd., then add a 3rd ....
Presto 5" high
A scratch sux...but from what the car was to what it is now...its amazing
If only pure perfection was sustainable! At least good photos & videos can make perfection last a lifetime!
This car though!! It's a beaut.
Man that car is SWEET !!!
I would have to fix the scratch and everything in kicking distance. Lol
Nice build! It's really has taken shape in a short amount of time. Hey can anyone answer this...I have a stock 95 5.0 with gutted cats and no mufflers, I just grabbed up an explorer intake and im getting a set of shorties is tossing a cam in now worth while? I would think even with E7 heads for now a gt40 intake, improved exhaust and a appropriate cam upgrade would make a mild yet nice improvement in overall livelyness, can't imagine it would be unnoticeable, I'd be pretty discouraged if I felt zero improvement lol. Any input would be appreciated.
I watched it like 3 times on the 7:40-7:45 lol
I have a foxbody but want one of these so much more!! What would you choose if it came down to it? Foxbody, or Fastback?
Please tell me you put the air cleaner on before driving this beautiful Mustang around!
Shit, it happens. Should be less anxiety with the first blemish. It is almost tough to enjoy your vehicle with perfect paint. Best wishes for some compound
Nice 65! Are you down there near Colquitt?
I would have been puking with that scratch ..
Reminds me of a 65’ I built with my Dad in high school. Paid $400 for it. Cant do that now
Definitely not. They were so cheap back then
I bet it pulls like a freight train , I hit mine in 4th at 3500 rpm and it just about snatched the wheel out of my hands i wasn't expecting that in 4th 😂
Damn! We still need gears. Its got 2 something gears in the rear
@@BREW2LFOXBODY oh yeah those has got to go, what are you going to put in it
at least put some 3.73 in there!
@@vrm86gt it’s getting an axle from an Explorer Sport trac cut down to fit. 3.73s
@@BREW2LFOXBODY yeah 3.73 is the best of both worlds. That rear is a solid unit with the big bearings like mine has that I pulled from a 2007 mustang that I had cut down to fit 2 passenger side 31 spline explorer axels ( the shorter ones) and worked perfectly with my car .
Just curious as to why you didn't put the fan in front of the rad instead of modifying the rad?
🔔😎🇺🇸
"Did we tighten the motor mount bolts?"

"NEVER stop until you get to a stoping place." Dad. 👍
As an aircraft mechanic and inspector... If you MUST stop.... MARK your place.
You cant just coast to the side of the road in an airplane.. But some tried it.
😎
She Sweet brew2l ....hey what radiator did you go with buddy
O crap!! Looks sick sounds great… BUT … NO KNIVES WALLET CHAINS OR BELT BUCKLES around the cars … (like you, ask me how I know) 😑
Have you heard the N81? If i could send you a video of my 10:1 compression 349ci sbf in my fox it sounds really good
Beautiful car
God bless brother!
So Awesome brother ❤
Do you degree your cams in or just line them up its a good ? Please let me know thanks
I had my car painted one time. shortly after that, i pulled in the garage and put the garage door down. the car wasnt in far enough and a bolt on the garage door put a long SCRATCH right down my trunk lid. well, I was near tears. but thats life. I had it repainted, and now that car is long gone . I can laugh about it now, but at the time, it was rough.
What exhaust system is that?? Just dropped a 347 in my 67 coupe with a tkx and I need to order an exhaust
Still kinda ehhh about the 289 coming out 😂
🔔😎🇺🇸
That fuel pump sucks....
Not gas,
I mean noise...
😐
Its just a scratch you cant keep them perfect forever shit happens and if its not a trailer queen its going to get rock chips and what not its still an amazing car !
True. But it still hurts 😬
Why not just build s 351? Youd have significantly better power n torque numbers for the same cost
Is this a late -65 ? I had that speedometer in my -66 Fastback.
Soo… your sticker was pecking out in excitement at startup and ya scratched the door 👀
what's the mufflers on this? i have a stroker in my 65 fastback and want it to sound like this !
Beautiful car...
any rough idea on how much power you are making?
Get rid of the open element breather and install a PCV valve, you only need one breather and a PCV valve…
Bout seen Brew2l loss his shit!!!!!😬😬😬😬😬
Almost 😅
Fuel pump seems a bit loud.
🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!!
Rowdy
What cam is that?
Is it for sale?
Cam??
Isn't the 3g internally regulated?
Aaah, I missed the dummy regulator comment.
Man u look so disgusted when u scratched . God I felt ur pain
any idea how to drive a manual transmission car?
Damn right. I’m giving lessons if you want?
👍
Get a stock style that’s been beefed up.
I wanted a 3g with FOXBODY brackets. It works great now.
@@BREW2LFOXBODYI see, I was Talking about cooling, my buddies 427 Windsor stroker runs off of it in his 67 coupe. Runs cool. The grey ghost is cool as hell
It must be a screamer.
On the bright side…..u made the first scratch….😢😢😢
