I had a lung biopsy yesterday and wasn't expecting the pain after the procedure. Right before my 2 hours was up resting and waiting for the xray to check for pneumothorax, the numbing shot wore off and I began to get very uncomfortable and twisting from side to side. Then it turned into pain. Fortunately I had pain pills at home cause I needed them. When I got home I started getting sharp pain in my chest on same side as the biopsy which was in the back. I recommend you get a prescription for pain meds on the way home.

Hope you’re in remission now. I’m having this done next Thursday but strangely looking forward to it as it will tell whether I need to have part of my lung removed or not
Kandas Nesbitt-Rodarte it went fine, despite the Radiologist being quite nervous about it. Evidently the tumour is very close to the heart and the Pulmonary Artery. But after 3/4 hour with my arms up then down, then one up one down he finally managed to get his samples. Now I wait to hear what it is there in my lung and what they’re are going to do about it.
I just had a lung biopsy and I had general anesthesia. No way I could have handled being awake!! I did have pneumothorax. Mine was right middle lobe. Extremely pain. Had to stay in hospital. Just got home and the pain is unbelievable.
Unfortunately my biopsy was contaminated with blood. So now I’m facing a wedge resection. I go the 1,2,3,4th of November for test. Having the pulmonary function test and the 4th my thoracic surgeon is supposed to discuss the wedge resection. My case went before the surgery review and and a determination was concluded that they felt doing the biopsy again would result in the same outcome. Collapsed lung and no tissue 😫 at this point I honestly am not feeling very comfortable with the situation I’m left with. They are flippant, in my opinion, about me losing 20% of my lung. My concern is similar to your story. I’ve already had my Thyroid removed. I’ve had extremely large colon polyps every year for at least 13 years. Every year they tell me it takes about 10 years for them to get to the size they’re removing, yet every single year I have at least one that’s bigger. February 2021, I had 6 again, my biggest 18cm. That’s in my colon. Then they have to place these clips that supposedly pass through after there purpose is achieved. 🤷🏻♀️ I also have a growth on my liver 2.5cm that is just irrelevant 🤷🏻♀️ I’m really concerned that they’re missing something. This started with a hernia and free lung scan. Unfortunately, the hernia has never been discussed haha I don’t even know if I still have one! I think of you as I take this journey and you inspire me. Your experience and trust in your doctor is awesome. I do have some great doctors unfortunately I was just thrusted to this doctor after my scan. I’ve addressed my concerns with the charge nurse at the Cancer center. Now I’m concerned that I shot myself in my foot and damaged the relationship. Now it’s just do the radiation or wedge resection. I just want a diagnosis and I don’t think I’m going to get one. How do I move forward. Btw I have micro nodules in both lungs that are not addressed. Sorry for the long post. I’m so interested in your progress and how your healing and praying for you.

NO BIOPSY FOR ME!! I just visited my Lung Doctor today, he still insists I have an infection in my lungs and he said a Bronchoscopy on the 18th of January is much better, cause afterwards I will cough a lot, and my voice will be horse afterwards. The better part of it is that the procedure puts me to sleep. Plus he said there are risks of having one of my lungs collapse when doing the biopsy. You described in the video you had extreme pain after the lungs were inflated, after Biopsy was done? I don't to worry about all that since I am not having the Biopsy done as it was determined by my doctor.

@@stacydiebold9199 I'm sure you are frustrated. Knowing you will find the best combination caregivers and treatment for your best outcome.
Everyone of us has our own unique story.
I'm doing very well. I receive Herceptin to suppress the HER2 protein every 3 weeks and Zoladex to suppress Estrogen every 4 weeks and this regime has been working!
Damn…..I may have to get this done..
Sending lots of good mojo your way. It's been 5.5 years since my biopsy and am so happy we caught it early!!

There are probably different protocols for different types of biopsies. Hope you are doing well!!
@@KandasRodarte thanks I was diagnosed with stage one lung cancer but they're saying they hope they can get it all with the surgery. As long as no spreading to the lymph nodes and I am believing no spreading in Jesus name. Thank you very much 🙏🏽❤
@@lillianwisdom8298 sending healthy vibes your way!
@@KandasRodarte thank you. God-bless 🙏🏽🌹
Hi I don't know if you can see this how ever I would like to know while doing the procedure did it hurt you?
Birma Diaz
Birma Diaz It only hurt when the drugs wore off.
Hi Kandas. I hope you're doing well. My dad who is 73 went in for a lung biopsy on 11/02/16. Your video helped me know what the procedure is going to be like. He's in the hospital with mom as I'm writing this. Thanks for making the video and have a good day 🌞
I am so glad it was helpful. Sending healing vibes to your dad.
Kandas Nesbitt-Rodarte Thank you ☺
I am scared to effing death, but I have to go.😢
You'll do great!
