1812 Overture on the FR-8x, Michael Bridge, 2013

Michael simulates a symphonic concert hall performance of the famous Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture. He begins with the orchestra tuning up to the oboe's A440 & ends with cannon fire & bells ringing victoriously against Napoleon. He does this with no backing tracks, but on 3 manuals (right hand, left hand standard bass & free bass).

I play a Roland 8x Dallape and love its capabilities....it isn't another accordion...it is a whole new type of instrument. Michael shows what this instrument can do in the hands of a creative genius.

The Only Truly "Out of Body Experience" I have ever had in the Accordion World was listening to Michael's performance of this, his version of the 1812 Overture at the 2013 Canadian Roland Finals. Absolutely Phenomenal Arrangement and showing of what electronics can do in the Hands, of true, True Greatness.

As a 8x Dallape owner I can appreciate the time it took to put this together and very tastefully done. Your TED event (also excellent) showed that Roland and the various users are helping the accordion finally reach the next stage of its evolution. I am particularly happy that you are exploring many musical genres to show that the accordion can play anything...all it takes are fine and innovative players like yourself.
