I agree with you 100% man! That man gave us so much, left a music legacy for generations of young musicians and fans to create and enjoy rock music. Maybe 1 or 2 musicians every decade manages to achieve that. Guys like Kurt Cobain, DD Ramone, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, Lemmy, Morrison, Hendrix...(and of course all of their bands members). Those guys will always live ! ! !

Chester will never fade into obscurity. Well, atleast not for a very, very long time. We won't even see that time ourselfs. The amount of lifes that man has touched and saved can't be counted. His legacy is more than his music. It's people that are alive today because of him. People that went on to get families because of him. Who never gave up because of him and even though he's gone, those people will live on and teach their children the same lessons. Let them listen to his music. Even now, there's still people finding LP music and getting inspired by it. No man, Chester may be gone but he made the world a better place with his music and that music will always be around. He will never fade away into obscurity. He is an inspiration and a fucking icon

You've only heard meteora in full, probably their heaviest album next to hybrid theory and The Hunting Party

One More Light seems like an work of 36 producers, than from the band. Honestly, it is bullshit, that they will assault pop genre in Guilty All The Same and then making an pop record. It is cause THP was not produced by any other producers, but one more light was produced by other 36 people, god damn it. Even normal pop records have at max 10 producers.

    • @linkin_p4rk435

@@jackcravford8744 OML was produced soely by Mike and Brad alone. The reason pop records have that many producers to begin with is because million if dollars get pumped into those records to make them as clean, commercially successful and accessible to every living being on planet earth to get as much money out of it as possible. As much as people like to shit on pop music, it is not an easy thing to make or do. Linkin Park were able to do it by themselves, and add depth to it. that is an undeniably outstanding artistic feat.

    • @jackcravford8744
      @jackcravford8744 2 роки тому

@@acerhythm7026 Sorry man, based on the booklet, it was produced and engineered by almost 40 people. Hunting Party was produced by Brad and Mike alone, not OML. Imagine that you are making record and it will get assaulted by 40 other people and their ideas. And i don´t think that people realize how much work was put into THP. First record with analog instruments, first record on tape, Rob literally destroyed his back for the album, first and only record with double bass on drums, with top notch guests like Page Hamilton from Helmet, Rakim, Morello and Malakian. THP is the true Linkin Park record made without any computers with dream guests.
And yeah, the mixing and production on THP is phenomenal. Snare, cymbals, bass, everything sounds human-like, authentic and top notch. And another thing, i am not the guy that likes to shit on pop music (In The Air Tonight by Collins is one of the best songs i ever heard and how much pop is that), i don´t care what kind of genre LP are doing, i want to hear the whole band all the time, which is something that OML can´t provide. I found hilarious when people are calling OML like an risk album - THP was more risky, it was against radio, pop music and they did hardcore punk record in times, where pop was dominating. This is the reason why the record failed, cause it was against what was going on.
"They say it's time for things to change
Rearrange like good product rebuilt cheap
Anything if it's more to gain drained, manipulated like artists
It's real deep until no more remains, but I'm still me
      Like authentic hip-hop and rock
Till pop and radio and record companies killed me"
      - those lyrics speaks for all. Rakim killed it.

I had already knew about him and grey Daze and I wish they got the recognition that LP did. Either way we got more music from him. Helped me through high school. And then when my daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2012 before her 6th birthday I listened to all his music nonstop. I would cry to the soft songs and scream at the world and God with the hard rock songs, when I was pissed that this was happening to my little girl. I was super upset when chris Cornell passed but when Chester passed it was different. I was never one to "fan girl" over an artist but his death hit me hard. I'm 36 and been through a lot of shit in my life that most haven't that are older than me. So when he opened up about his past I really could relate to him and completely understand. We have similar demons that fight us daily. With losing my job, losing my car cause a drunk driver totalled it and he didn't have insurance, then the pandemic hit I have had bad thoughts and I'm not going to lie I started thinking about it. I'm a single mom and I'm barely getting by financially. So I thought about Getting life insurance so that my daughter would be taken care of. But then I realized that I couldn't put my daughter through that pain. So I'm fighting minute by minute to survive. And I live in texas and we got hit by a horrible snow storm and I'm just telling myself to breathe. I've been keeping the music on and trying to stay somewhat positive. I hope everything is good in y'alls part of the world.

There's so much about the performance that just shows how great Linkin Park are as a band, and the individuals are as artists and performers. Not only does Chester blow it out the water with such a great rendition, but this is an encore performance following their set. What do fans want to do during an encore, sing their lungs out one more time before the end of the night. Doing a cover at this point is tricky, especially if you do your own spin on it. But Chester and Mike keep it real predictable in terms of pacing, they don't mix it up, so an audience that has never heard Chester sing it, still knows when to sing along with him without feeling out of time. Of course the performance, Chester's voice etc is incredible, but I think people sometimes dont appreciate the manner in which it's delivered. Gives me chills every time I hear the crowd start singing along to the chorus.

I immediately thought of those lyrics when I found out about his death. I wish he’d been able to follow them instead of his depression. As someone who’s in tricky situation with MDD, it’s such a strong cautionary tale, and shows that no matter how many people love you or how you support other people, you can get in so deep that it’s so dark and you don’t get back from it. It’s a good reminder to sort of... be aware of my surroundings, where I am in my depression, so the worst doesn’t happen.

I've seen so many bands at so many different shows. But to this day, seeing Linkin Park headline when I was 13-14 was the greatest show I've ever seen. It was right after "Minutes to Midnight" came out and they literally played all 3 albums.(almost) and their energy was insane. Truly epic in everyway. R.I.P Chester🙏

Thank you for doing this song and video.
I hesitated to watch this, just like everything else that has Chester in it. It's hard to believe he's really gone. Sometimes I sneak on here to watch the videos for a good cry, knowing myself and so many others struggle with our mental health just like Chester did.
Chester is absolutely a Legend and I will never forget what he meant to me through my life, and what he means to me now even though he has left this world.
One thing Chester has taught me, and though I still struggle with it myself, is always have help. Accept the support of our loved ones and always reach out. No one can do this alone and no one should have to.
Alex, you may not see this comment but I appreciate what you do on this channel. And I appreciate you taking the time out of your life to honor Chester by letting his music live on and reach more people.

I've only ever heard one song by Linkin Park (In the End). I know I would love the band if I got into it, but I also know it'll be really hard listening to Chester's music knowing how his life came to an end. I'm still not over Chris Cornell's death, and I absolutely love his music, but now his songs are sometimes really hard to get through when I think too much about it. So I keep putting off listening to Linkin Park to avoid the same kind of pain. I'll get there someday. In some ways, I'm glad to know there's a whole amazing band that I've barely discovered, and I'll savor my first listens when the time comes.
