+RX7821979 Now we're gonna see who's who.
I think this is my absolute favorite scene!
great movie, one of kurt russell's best performances!
Considering what this movie is, it's rules and world established... It's almost perfect. Whatever it was mean to be, the intentions -- *I fucking love this movie*
anyone else get chills when Todd runs the camouflage lines down his face and the quiet military music plays? I did
Amadeus Dredd
Yeah I always loved that part.
I'm not a face camo guy ..
More of a
balaclava/
Ninja mask kinda fella.
But this was SUPER cool
No, because it's a shitty trope and a real soldier would use actual camouflage techniques. And it would be a lot scarier. --- Otherwise, this scene is great.
Amadeus Dredd you just knew he was gonna fuck shit up after you heard that music and also what appears to be like demonic voice in the background. Just bad ass!!!!
O.G. masterchief. No armor b.s.
NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT todd is possibly older than doom guy or master chief . i could be wrong tho
Kurt Russell is loading all the Pokeballs and the chick say what you gonna do. Kurt, Im gonna catch em all sir.
He does it with knowledge of past experience. The difference between experience and un experience.
I saw this movie over 20 years ago. Thanks for reminding me how good it was and making me want to watch it again.
I love this flick. Kurt Russell does a great job.
I feel that the reason Hollywood critics hate this movie is it shows no matter the discipline and training any soldier has his humanity will always be in him.
This is where Halo came from. This entire movie screams the Spartan program.
yup
Oh bummer I kinda liked it, I don't now can't stand Halo...
@@scottstevens2752 this is nothing like Halo in terms of the lore. Just think the Spartan program without any of the bad TV show decisions - or the tech or the intergalactic space stuff. Basically just Earth Spartans
@@sp3edstr Definetly not a game I like, but enjoy.
One of the reasons I liked this movie was that it was an accurate portrayal of a disciplined military mind. No whining. No not following orders because “I don’t fee like it”. Just discipline (on both sides.) The “bad guys” were also disciplined, but they didn’t have the experience that Todd had.
I remember watching this movie as a kid n thinking to myself, he would make a great Duke Nukem. Now i see he was perfect to embody John-117.
One of the most badass lines in one of the most badass films ever made. Kurt Russell is an underappreciated actor.
They musta edited out the part where he says " y'all stay put hold down the fort, keep the home fires burning , and if we're not back by dawn , call the president"
Yes sir the check is in the mail.
Kurt Russel is one of the most under rated actor I know of. I remember as a young boy seeing him in "The Strongest Man in the World". Every Saturday the Knights of Columbus hall would show Disney Movies and provide refreshment to any kid who showed up to watch the movies and hang out. This was in the early 1970's. I don't think I have missed a single movie he made since.
if you watch this movie from the start, it's actually sweet and kind and it builds up to this. This is the easy part of the movie. The earlier is sad and emotional. Get the whole movie
Truth, context defines meaning, and this scene in context is even more powerful and warm.
So much said with so few words. No threats, no bragging, no bravado. Simple statement of facts.
Perfect warrior mentality.
Such an underrated movie…barely anyone knows about it but when they do watch it everyone loves it lol
What a soldier
Kurt Russel is one of the most underrated actors out there.
but one SCV against 17 zealots, what you gonna do?
SCV: I'm gonna kill them all SIR !
That's funny cause this movie was released right around when Starcraft was one of the most popular computer games on the market.
Great movie. Very underrated. And Kurt just nail it with his acting. Express whole spectrum of emotions without using words
One soldier against seventeen? I believe he could kill them all. If you look at his combat records are the beginning of the movie he has killed hundreds of enemy combatants.
I love this classic! ❤ I can't find it anywhere to watch though ... Kurt Russell is bad a** in this. I get chills everytime he says "I'm gonna kill them all, Sir."
I'm gonna play basketball, sir.
+helioseismology
Then they'll all get dunked on.
saviebug724aj
Time to break some ankles...
For decades he has been a great actor.
love this movie
I've seen this a few times and this one scene that was featured several talk shows while he was promoting the film IIRC is the one I remember most along with the part where he shows the child to fight. The boy having learned to fend for himself saves his parents later. This is highly underrated. Like other under rated movies (Enemy Mine and Falling Down are two other examples) it's really good.
Dialogue with war machine.
I came to solve problems FAST.
👍
I love this film! One of the messages I got from it, was the fact that the latest and greatest is not always superior. An old, salty soldier got that old for a reason. His experience alone, made him more effective than his younger, stronger counterparts. Old, but not obsolete!
A Soldier's way, saves the day.
Superb movie and one of the best Kurt Russel performances.
Yessss, I remember this movie. Just action. That's all I need.
1:00 "You tell'em I'm coming, and Hell's coming with me!!".....Oops, wrong movie LOL
Thats a fact
Soldier is one of my favorite movies
Fear And Dicipline.
Forever.
A great film, Russel was phenomenal!
bad ass line. :)
This movie and No Escape with Ray Liotta are probably the most criminally underrated Sci-Fi movies of all time!
WHILE THEY WERE STILL LEARNING HOW TO SPELL THERE NAME , WE WERE BEING TRAINED TO WATCH MASTERPIECES LIKE THESE !
*their name
😉
Very underrated movie. Kurt was nailing it!
Que hermosa pelicula, deberían ponerle subtítulos o traducirla al español. El rostro de Kurt Russell expresa mas todo sin palabras, sinceramente lo destruye a A Swartsenegher y a Roki Balboa
most underrated film ever
0:03 I love that movie
This has always been my favorite Kurt Russell movie.
Soldier 76 reporting for duty, sir
"We're all soldiers, now."
