This video is all about the installation of the Rutland Wind Generator 1200 on to our Lagoon 400.
Step by step for the more technical followers we have. This took place during August 2019 in Curacao Dutch Caribbean.
So far we are very happy with the performance of the Rutland, really gave us a break of our noisy generator. As long as it’s windy out there we can count on it, and it blows in the Caribbean 🤷‍♀️😊

Have a look at the food we eat on board of Ocean Fox. A daily blog of our healthy lifestyle . We eat a Low Carb Mediterranean plant based diet and we just love it. Loads of fresh fish as we catch so much.

    A little bit about us...
We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream!
Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia.
We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way.
Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is!
As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream.
We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.
    Much love
    Carla and Simon

Remember friend, the Amp is a unit of current, the Watt is a unit of power, and the Amp.hr is a unit of energy. Fair Winds !

Great insight into the build just subscribed and it’s a nice compact turbine I also have built a homemade 650 watts wind turbine, a treadmill motor turbine and a little but powerful ametek 30v turbine and built 2 diy solar panels, be careful in high winds one of my first turbines blew up 😕and now have only 2 wonderful turbines working daily 😊it’s very satisfying watching those things working, keep up the good work buddy 👍

Hi, thanks for posting such a helpful video on how you installed the turbine and cabling. Could you let me know more about the semi rigid nylon rod you used to mouse or route the wiring through the boat? Many thanks

I got scared seeing possibly too little force applied to crimp tool, not using ring terminals, using a 6mm terminal for a tiny wire, ... Be very careful!
