This week we bring to you the Lagoon 42. This is a beautiful boat with so many features but not the one for us.
Sometimes just doesn’t feel right, the layout might be great for many people but doesn’t appeal to us.
We also talk about the migrants in Greece as we found a dingy on the beach.
A huge path of plastic that will be there for a 100,000 years.
Carla also tells you how she would like to be part of The Oceans Clean Up non profit organisation. On our next journey around the world we want to collaborate with their research of the big plastic path on the Pacific Ocean. Something that we are starting to look into it.
If you have any idea on how we could help or know anyone from the organisation please let us know in the comments below.

    A little bit about us...
We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream!
Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia.
We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way.
Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is!
As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream.
We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

The rig arrangement is a huge advantage and improvement. A smaller main and larger foresails is much more manageable in strong winds and for cruising generally. You need to focus on this and the sailing elements of all these boats in your reviews/ observations, not just the number of fridges etc. On Lagoons, I notice they all seem to creek a bit underfoot eg when you walk across the saloon. Not good; comments?

You should look at the Fountaine Pajot. I don't know what your budget is, but know where there is 2018 Helia 44 owners version for sale. $599,000.00

Hi guy's nice to see you looking at boats again. Maybe it's just me, but these vessels don't seen to look very comfortable...not as nice as your Cat was. Just saying, take care and be safe chow. 😎👍💥

Thank you Jerry, this one is a bigger version of the one we had but we didn’t really like it. Anyway we are still dar away from finding “the one”.

The lagoon 42 was our thoughts for a long time but ended up ordering an FP Isla for at least 4 seasons in the med. If we decide to world cruise then it might not be very suitable.

We have seen people around world cruising on the FP Isla, why do you think that wouldn’t be suitable for world cruise?

@@SailingOceanFox not enough storage , no nav table at all. It will sail around the world but I think a 45 will give you a better ride with the extra waterline length and storage. Might change my mind when we are on it. It will be perfect for our initial plans.

@@rodwaski oh I see, absolutely true, the bigger the better and much more stable on big seas. The longer is your journey the “more toys” you have so yes storage is really important. The reason we want to go bigger is because the boat will behave better on bigger seas across the oceans. But having said that the Lagoon 400 we had did pretty well under stress. When you will get your boat?
