I remember when this song came out. It touched a lot of us deeper because in our hometown in PA as well as other places a lot of violence was going on. It was gang violence and killings of young people that weren’t even involved with gangs. It just seemed like we were losing everybody.This song meant so much more to us.

The 80's and 90's rappers lived the life that they rapped about. They rapped about the actual hood and not how good it was after they made it. Not a good time, but it built character of the rappers.
